I am a clinical hypnotherapist, in practice for nearly 22 years. My primary focus when working with weight-loss clients is, of course, on resolving the unconscious psychological and emotional drivers that cause them to retain excess weight. However, I am also very honest with my clients and I always tell them that physical lifestyle and dietary changes will be necessary. I want to thank Dr. Ekberg for this video, as it is the most concise, easy-to-understand overview of how diet and exercise actually impact health and weight. I will be referring all of my weight loss clients to begin their weight loss program by first watching this video.

I used to be really fat... I was on the verge of developing serious health conditions. I remember not being able to tie my shoelaces and my sleep suffered as well. My life changed when I finally set my mind to the thinking that anything is possible if you decide so. I took a meal plan to start with. I created it on Nextlevel diet, which was super helpful at the moment. I didn't have to worry about calories, macros, nutrients and all that stuff. I just focused on walking long distances and exercising after I got on a level where I could do some simple workouts. I hope my story will inspire you to do the same. To change your body you must first change your mind!!

    Hello Mr Ekberg,
this is a short statement from Germany here. I just wanted to thank you for your videos and motivate you and others to keep that good work up. Just to briefly summarize my story: Found your videos, started low carb + fasting + movement (30 to 60 minuters a day lower to medium effort) and held that up for 10 weeks now. That definately was the second best thing I did in my live, no 1 beeing having children. I was easily abled to loose 13 kg of weight, reduced my blood pressure levels significantly and feel much better now. Although I still think a lot of what is good for me and worked for me might not be true for everybody, I am convinced that your work did and will improve the life of many people. Once the barrier is broken and you get into the habit which becomes a lifestyle, it is really easy to live by these ideas. I am also convinced that these methods can improve your immune system and that this is really helpful when facing a covid infection, as I had to last summer. So thank you for sharing and putting in the effort. Truely appreciated.

I feel better now, the last few months, than I ever did. Maybe 10xs better than what I felt at fifty when I was burned out, 70 pounds heavier, and thinking I was at the end of the road. I get all this now, you, my good Doctor, are an excellent teacher, and whoever works on these videos I would commend, this work being able to hold my attention back when I didn't have the ability that now seems to have been restored.
I am thinking the agribusiness growers/processors know exactly what they are doing, the fatter people get the higher the profits.
I'll put in a good word on this movement idea. Keeping a garden provides much, add in a few foraging trips in the wild, fishing, and I also hunt, all in a natural ethical manner, and movement becomes associated with food. This is working for me. And I want more of it!
Excellent video, highly informative yet easy to understand, and ends with a directive to act.

You are correct, even "organic certified" foods are suspect. I began my grow own food journey in 2019 and began seeing a much healthier me, by 2020 I was looking years younger. Last October I had to move to Socal fishbowl where I have buy all my food so I buy organic as much and follow same eating habits, sleeping even more now (8 hrs), walk & hike since more time on hands BUT have picked up weight, got civil that lasted 6-7 weeks, fell down twice...weaker maybe stressed/toxic, unhappy here.

Thank you so much for this. This hits so close to home 😢 because one of my close family is struggling this way, they are morbidly obese and people can be so cruel judging them, not understanding the struggle they are having, even their own parents can be nasty to them. I know that they try so hard, and I'm trying to encourage them, I will share this with them. I really just wish people will stop fat shaming learn to be less judgemental and show more compassion and empathy instead of disdain😔.

The easiest way to lose belly fat is minimum 18 hour fast, and keto. If you have stubborn belly fat, getting your carbs close to zero is most effective.
If carnivore diet is too extreme, you can add in nutrient dense foods that are still very low carb like avocado and leafy greens.
Next is HIIT, sleep minimum 8 hours quality sleep, and get rid of crappy stressful people for 2 weeks 🤣🤣🤣🤓🤓

It can be so frustrating after losing 100+ pounds to get stuck about 20 pounds early, or to even gain back 10 or 15! This is true even if you know that the 10 or 15 is mostly or all muscle. You can know that your body is changing, and even see it in the mirror, but to still see the fat you want to get rid of can be maddening. Then, if you're not careful, bad habits can creep in. The temptation is to "double down" and "work harder." It seems like sometimes what's necessary is to take a stress vacation and be good to yourself.

I am deep into my IF+Keto routine and still 10 pounds away from my ideal weight (already lost 20 pounds pretty effortlessly). The fat on my belly that used to be hard as rock has turned soft like cotton. Still I am stuck at my current setpoint and just cannot lose weight any further.
I have tried these but nothing's worked:-
    1. Tried almost 0 carbs for a couple of days to smash down the setpoint
    2. Tried water fast for 2 days straight.
    3. Tried to increase the intensity and duration of weight training.
    4. Increased low-intensity cardio duration.
    5. Increased fiber and protein intake by a little.
    6. Increased the duration of Parasympathetic breathing exercise.
    7. Tried Yoga stretches and increased the intake of Cod liver oil.
    8. Increased the duration of sunbathing as well as exposure.
    9. Increased the frequency of probiotic foods like homemade curd and pickles.
I don't know what else I can try to lose those last 10 pounds. Any recommendations are most welcome :D

I recently decided to stop eating snacks like chocolate and chips, cause my walking pants had gotten hard to button. So far it’s been surprisingly easy. Been a couple months. Decided not to exercise in addition cause I have experience of that combined with watching what I eat makes me extremely hungry. I have gone from 77 kg to 72,5 so far. Goal is 69.
I used to be underweight back in the day. Ate loads of chocolate and chips, and regular meals, but also worked as a waitress plus had dance lessons twice a week.
So I figured, if I wanna lose weight, but not exercise, it should still be really effective dropping the chocolate and chips. I’m really hoping I won’t rubber band back up when (if) I reach my goal. But have the plan of weighing in every morning, and if I’m 70+, I’m not allowed to snack that day. Might set goal to 65, which used to be my comfort weight. If body allows it with my low effort approach.
    Wish me luck.
