The new 21700 battery from Nitecore is 6000 mA/h, I have in in my MH12 Pro (EDC). The chubby and unfindable battery in the Sofirn doesn't add much advantage compared to a modern 21700 cell...

Hello. Very good flashlight, it's a shame that the battery is almost empty

@@FlashlightEnthusiast I meant that battery runs out very quickly

Fair enough, 26800 battery with longer battery tube might have been an interesting option here

Interestingly, Sofirn advertises runtime in Turbo at only 1.25 hours while independent testers were getting two hours of runtime.

The automatic lockout is unbearable - for me at least...

I would prefer standard 4 click to unlock, but I understand the concept and for general user ot might be useful

    I can't buy a flashlight that uses 6500k!!! Can't stand that!!

Indeed, Samsung LH351D or Nichia 519A would be a nice option for flood channel...

Well, in the winter cool white light looks great on snow. In every other environment 4000-5000K is sooo much better, specially with HCRI.

We stood 6500 °K LEDs for 25 years, as nothing different was available.
It was few years ago that Nichia developed a formula for lower °K phosphors - and it is still a trade secret. Many low °K light bulbs from Chinese manufacturers are just some reddish lights, while true 5000, 4000 and 2700 °K are only brand names...

I can't stand the built-in battery in many Nitecore flashlights😁

@@FlashlightEnthusiastI also like Samsung LH351D diodes. Pleasant neutral light.

Pffff... for such big light this sustainability isn't good at all. Price is what you pay, worth (quality) is what you get.

Agree, yet I was expecting standard linear decrease of brightness, positive surprise here. 1000 lm is still good level, judging only 55°C thermal limit, but of course they could do better, even twice that output with good driver, higher thermal limit and probably much improved heat dissipation. Thanks for your comment 👍

@@FlashlightEnthusiast exactly, a lot of missed opportunities and untapped potential... keeping cost of production and retail price low enough was definitely the priority for sofirn.
They should build smaller light with this performance or really invest in better drivers for this model and do better job with thermal regulation.
