That gives us other players so much confidence that we can do this because of course we are going to fill in the rest of the materia slots up, but you make it feel like it’s possible without. So thank you for that, no one seems to notice how big of a deal that is
For those who haven't gotten the gotterdammerung yet, at the beginning use disorder followed by blizzara and wait for Sehiroth to be stagerred, before the stagger bar runs out use blizzara and again he will be stagerred, this way you pass the phase with Cloud without taking damage, disorder It is useful for canceling Sephirot's spells.

I was on failed experiment under sector 7 when I stopped playing years ago. Your guides have literally guided me from there all the way to the end! You've been with me every step of the way! I really wish the game would just let us save between sequential bosses so that we don't have have deal with the scuffed retry UI and the lack of equipment memory. I couldn't find anything like that on Nexusmods though.
Wow, after 20 atempts and two hours later of trying this on my own I checked your load out and all I changed was barrier for one instead of all. didn't had limit break near the final phase or the limit break accessory, but Aerith's pray is what saved everyone on multiple heartless angel attacks while Cloud was just whailing with triple strikes.
i just cleared the game and got the platinum trophy and it's all because of your amazing guides, thank you for making the game even more enjoyable for me.

Just made it to this part of the game on hard mode. I am going to wrap the main story up so I can complete the Yuffie DLC before launch tomorrow. Your guides were definitely insightful through my hard mode journey.
Another great video. I just opened it on my laptop, and kept pausing while copying the movements on my PS5. Ended up beating all bosses on the first try. Messed up at the very last phase, as for some reason Sephiroth ended up taking the damage much faster than in your video, and I ended up not having the Limit Break ready. Had to wither a bunch of powerful attacks because of that, but luckily I always add a maxed Revive to every single character as a backup, so was able to push through.
Played Chap 18 last night and beat Harbinger and Seph on Hard mode and popped up my Plat 🏆 Thanks again for the great guides on this game man! Setups for each chapter worked wonders! Looking forward to your future ones and appreciate everything you do bro!

I made a mistake when I set up the materia and put a lv1 barrier for the fight with Sephiroth so I couldn't cast manawall, but it still worked well enough to beat him the first try. I'm so glad because I really didn't want to have to repeat the harbringer boss battle again. Platinum FTW. Woot!

Out of all the guides and videos I've seen about this fight, yours is the only one that worked for me. Even at the start, the switch to Hard Edge from the Twin sword was useful, despite the fact that you did not mention it. It may have been important, or not, because the main strategy of blocking and countering was the key. So, much appreciated mate.

Got this on first try because of your guide as well. You really helped a really "mid" player through an extremely challenging hard mode. There's no way I would have gotten any of this done without a guy like you out there in the internet leading the charge and fighting the good fight for us all. I hope you keep posting for a long time. Just like in the Harbinger fight, I put MP absorb with healing and prayer on whoever could hold it - which helped preserve MP throughout. I screwed up the timing by about a minute in his last phase (didn't have my limit up yet), luckily I got off enough damage to win (my entire party had a little over 100 HP left , whew! Oo0) I finally feel like I can move on to Rebirth and catch up to everyone else that has played it by now :)

Yeah I used your Harbinger guide and that materia setup made Sephiroth a cakewalk. Idk what you do in this video but I abused the hell out of Counterstance. The fight took longer but no one died right until he cast Heartless Angel and he had like 2 hits left. Edit: Oh yeah and as others have mentioned, using some of your guides helped me get the platinum as well. Thanks homie.
Just got platinum and wanting to thank you for your amazing guides. Started using them on jenova since that is where the trouble started for me and used it for the bosses after jenova aswell 1 shotting them with your guides. I don't know why I never found this channel 4 years ago, but thanks to these Hard Mode boss guides, that Platinum Trophy is finally mine as of the time I hit Send on this comment. Of course, I'll go through it again to get those 2 missing Ch 9 manuscripts.
I found a trick for making Cloud's Punisher counter more effective in Phase 2 and beyond. Normally, Punisher mode counter against Telluric Flurry is a bad idea in later phases because it doesn't interrupt him and the counter briefly renders Cloud unable to guard. However, if you have Parry materia, you can cancel the lag on the counter ASAP by parry dodging, giving you immediate guard frames to minimize damage from Sephiroth's combo.
These actually worked, unlike other "easy" guides out there, even managed to finish it without Manawall and Gotterdammerung (because frick Gotterdammerung, it's not worth all the time and rage, it's the last thing i'm missing, but want to keep my sanity) It's doable with Transference Module, but it goes even slower. (had to spam Chakra to heal and fuel up the limit). Also subsequent counters with Punisher mode + Counterstance helps.
Brilliants guides. I stuffed up the timing of the limit break at the end of Seph, but still managed to summon and heal through his last phase to defeat him first go. Also, stupid barret showed up even though I didn't attack with him once, but o well. It might take a little longer, but I'd rather spend 10-15 mins each killing these bosses first go, than keep failing for an hour trying to kill him quicker.
THIS WORKED ON MY FIRST TRY 😭😭😭 Tbh i simply was not focusing on defense and getting some massive hits in. I focused more on reducing damage and parrying and i realized im not actually a shit player im just impatient
Done first time. Had barrier and heal on tifa which was good as I almost exclusively controlled cloud, tifa had blizzard and ap skill which I think hurt me. I finished it with cloud limit aerith ray and tifa star. Now back to chapter 9 hard mode to get 2 of 4 total trophies left. Your videos did help

I got the platinum, thank you. As the others, it didn't go how I wanted, because I was stupid and didnt manage to follow the harbringers right somehow, but I still got aerith and tifa. And i got to the end phase, but aerith got to be the last one alive and i somehow forgot to give her HER revive....did it second attempt. Can't wait to see the rebirth one eventually!

Pro tip: be careful when retying the fight. I was trying to do it quick and sadly got all the way back to the whispers

It's a nice simple strat sticking to basics strat isn't, most others go a bit over the top by trying to make it look real clever and no dmg xD

However, if you have Parry materia, you can cancel the lag on the counter ASAP by parry dodging, giving you immediate guard frames to minimize damage from Sephiroth's combo.

These actually worked, unlike other "easy" guides out there, even managed to finish it without Manawall and Gotterdammerung (because frick Gotterdammerung, it's not worth all the time and rage, it's the last thing i'm missing, but want to keep my sanity)
It's doable with Transference Module, but it goes even slower. (had to spam Chakra to heal and fuel up the limit).
Also subsequent counters with Punisher mode + Counterstance helps.
Nice work somewhat adapting this strategy to work without the Gotterdammerung!!!
Brilliants guides. I stuffed up the timing of the limit break at the end of Seph, but still managed to summon and heal through his last phase to defeat him first go. Also, stupid barret showed up even though I didn't attack with him once, but o well.
It might take a little longer, but I'd rather spend 10-15 mins each killing these bosses first go, than keep failing for an hour trying to kill him quicker.
THIS WORKED ON MY FIRST TRY 😭😭😭 Tbh i simply was not focusing on defense and getting some massive hits in. I focused more on reducing damage and parrying and i realized im not actually a shit player im just impatient

Done first time. Had barrier and heal on tifa which was good as I almost exclusively controlled cloud, tifa had blizzard and ap skill which I think hurt me. I finished it with cloud limit aerith ray and tifa star. Now back to chapter 9 hard mode to get 2 of 4 total trophies left. Your videos did help

As the others, it didn't go how I wanted, because I was stupid and didnt manage to follow the harbringers right somehow, but I still got aerith and tifa.
And i got to the end phase, but aerith got to be the last one alive and i somehow forgot to give her HER revive....did it second attempt.
Can't wait to see the rebirth one eventually!
