I sit cross-legged on the floor a lot so my ankles tend to form callus' and get dark. This is what I do..
Try using the same concept used on your face to those areas - Exfoliate (using acid toner) and moisturize (heavy duty moisturizer, like body butter).. Using oil helps to smooth too (rosehip seed oil, jojoba oil etc)
      Hope this helps

Amatul Syafi Abdul Basit hi!what kind of acid toner would you recommend using? My ankles get dark even if I sit crossed leg for a short time😖.I put Vaseline on my ankles after I shower & it just makes the skin softer, not lighter.Does the remedy you suggested actually work?

    • @a.syafiab

      @@liliechowdhury5343
I just use The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7%
I also use body scrub on that particular area before shower.
Then massage with body butter (I use my own DIY shea butter mix)
I do this every night and it works, at least for my light brown skin (Darker skin tone may take longer to see the result, or may not work at all & requires more potent actives like Vit. A, Vit. C derivative in the mix)
Don't forget to use sunscreen if that part of your skin is exposed.
*_Note_*_ that this is for my feet/knee so I don't concern with sensitivity at all. I also don't have any health or skin condition like psoriasis, eczema etc. that can potentially irritated by use of acids._

Very interesting content! I’ve been doing a major skincare routine in the mornings - wash face, use foreo device with cleanser, toner, essence, vitamin C serum, eye cream, moisturiser and then spf.
In the evening I’ve been doing - cleansing balm, cleanser, foreo with cleanser, toner, essence, retinol serum, eye retinol cream, face retinol cream and face oil.
I exfoliate twice a week and use a mud mask twice a week also a sheet mask.
Is this all too much!? I think I’m using too many things!
I’m getting laser resurfacing for my acne scarring on my face. What products would you recommend for after it’s healed?

Dr V. we Indians trust u the most especially me. it's my heartiest request to you that please suggest some good ceramide moisturizer for we Indians because cerave doesn't deliver in India,. Which is a great problem...some products are available on Amazon but I m not sure about their authenticity because of different prices and packaging.

Hi Dr.Vanita, my face is darker than the rest of my skin, I’ve attempted to change thst many times but I end up getting a bleached look, so I stopped and my skin returned to its usual dark shade. It made me wonder if it may be normal and my natural tone? If it is not how do I rectify it. My routine is witch hazel, the ordinary niacinamide and alpha Arbutin and inkey vitamin BCD moisturizer because I had breakouts and left over dark spots. Pls kindly tell me what to do.
