I just had mine installed. I really wish I would have done it sooner!!! I have stock injectors, s&b intake, exhaust and a hydra. I am super happy. Wait until he does his video a nd you will want to install a kc300x ASAP!!!

I have a KC turbo also and WOW what a difference in the truck. Because of the EBPV valve leaking, and then the turbo bearing failure I've had my turbo out 3 times and when you do it that many times I have it down to about a hour getting the turbo out.
Your kc turbo broke 3 times? Fuck... that makes me not want to get one. I could barely even here the turbo on this vid?

Awesome video man. I just installed a leveling kit and 35s on my 01. Once I get my trans all patched up and reliable, I’m hopping to do a turbo and injector upgrades. Keep up the hard work man, I love the vids!

BENNIE Bastin Hey man.. I’ll post the link to the kit I used. It says it’s 3 inches but is more like like 3.25. It actually gave my truck some bulldog. Very easy install, took me and a buddy maybe 2.5 hrs to whip up. Mines on 12 wides with -44 offset. It rubbed pretty good on my bumper and rear fender, so I trimmed all that stuff out of the way. I’m new and I’m working on my truck I have done a lot of things to thank you for recommending the KCTurbo I have put in my truck 180 cc Stock nozzles the KC TurboAnd a 5 inch exhaust with a NAPA intake in for my tuner I went with 1023 diesel tunes and a Hydro tuner I just got done with the motor now I’m working on the body

Not really. The old one was pulling in hot air from the motor because there was no sort of shield, but the new one provides better and cooler air flow without the hot air going in the motor
I need to invest on a top side creeper. I just got done rebuilding my stock turbo, fuel lines, fuel bowl reseal, oil cross over and frx, my stomach and chest are killing me! Lol

I just got one myself after years of laying across the top of 7.3’s and man it is so much more comfortable.
I just did a water pump, oil cooler, fuel filter, wastegate actuator, ICP sensor, radiator hoses, and I have a 4" lift on 35's... I literally had to climb up and sit inside the engine bay to do all the work haha. My knees are killing me

Just put a kc300x on my 7.3 after my stock one blew up, old setup was wicked wheel and bigger waste gate actuator on stock turbo and with new headers, up pipes, 5” exhaust and a 140 hp hydra tuner it made 25 psi with my new 300x only 20 🤨

I'm not sure why there is dislike for the ebpv... I personally like it... it helps alot to warm up the truck in cold weather and sounds cool, especially with a straight pipe, when working. I'm personally not looking for all out power, good power yes but not all out, so if I ever get a "new" turbo i.e kc turbo or something similar I'm going to keep the ebpv... my two cents on it. Other than that your truck is coming along great man keep up the hard/good work.
Hey man, the ebpv is a great thing! I just wanted more power!! And it’s one less thing to worry about! Mine got stuck shut back in December!! So I wanted it gone and I normally plug my truck in during winter, so my oil is warm and the truck starts right up and I don’t mind letting it sit a little longer to warm up!
The ebpv has its place, absolutely! And I know some people even turn it into a exhaust brake!
@@PowerStoked the turbo pedestal for the exhaust back pressure valve tends to leak oil so people like to delete it so that's no longer an issue
people claim it raises egt's, but I have 450+ wheel with my set up and the ebpv hasn't hindered me one bit. I tow a 53' enclosed trailer and have the ebpv set up as an exhaust brake.
My old 7.3 was building 35 or more boost thing was nuts
im pushing 35 pound of boost with a banks wheel in the e-450 obviously the exhaust input is a little bigger because its in the van and it has no intercooler which is not needed..i ruined my 30 pound boost gauge its stuck on 5 psi now because it wrapped around lol
Made a 5/8" body lift from nylon (chopping block material) using original body bolts , and it felt like a mile more room doing the turbo..... Now I just need gears ((ZF6 / 335 80r20 military)) 6th gear is only used above 85mph now, LOL!!

It does extend to be a bit taller. But I don’t think it would reach with a 6 inch lift & 35’s sadly!!!

When you did install KC turbo, did you did that turbo Pedestal delete thinie that have oil leaks like always?
I absolutely hated re attaching that up pipe. I actually had a oil leak last winter that turned out to be the turbo pedestal seals.
That up pipe is such a fight!
So I literally just bought this turbo. I have a brand new AFE big boost 6637 mod. Did this turbo come with a 4" - 4" boot? Or did you buy a new one? I really dont want to buy a new intake. Looking forward to installing my turbo. Thanks ahead of time🐌

I get 30+ psi, 160/30's on stock turbo with 1.0 ar housing and a billet wheel
Heck yeah! I would get awful turbo surge with my stock turbo, aftermarket intake, 4 inch exhaust, and chipped!! I had to upgrade, and I’ve always liked the idea of aftermarket turbos to see what they will do😬

You will need to replace those stock boots with some from riff raff or you will blow the old ones off with the new turbo. Ask me how I know? The 300x rocks. I also got full force 180/30 injectors. They really wake the truck up.

Dude 1st thing you need is in cordless 18 or 20 V cordless ratchet wrench to do work like this makes it quick and easy and painless your hands don't give read up and they work great with an extra battery or 2 you have been was work time

I have a 2000 F250 runs not bad but lately has developed a long start with lopy idle for first thirty seconds and then Smooth's out.
Maybe the HPOP! Not enough oil..? I’m not sure! Mines dead at the moment from a bad HPOP, and now two totally dead batteries

what I have heard is California is banning all sales of new diesel trucks by 2045, I haven't heard anything about the EPA banning old trucks!

I've got a 01' F350 and it has 609K miles on it. I want to replace my turbo and injectors, pretty much do some long term maintenance stuff. The KC300X looks good, however are you running stock injectors? I don't want to run out of injectors, and if that sounds stupid don't mind me I'm new to Powerstroke life.
It’s not stupid!! I ran the KC300X for over a year on stock sticks and it did great!!

Nothing really actually! Other than it being a sealed box which is nice for debris/dust/hot engine air

U shouldn't have lifting heads even hitting 40psi
I have the gtp38r, 260/100 injectors, adrenaline hpop, regulated return, high flow banjos, 4" exhaust, hydra, 6.0 intercooler and I dont run the red line. I'm in the mid 40's for boost.

Well, I will say, 6.0’s have much better top end, but with a little money, (price of bulletproofing) you can have new truck power! Injectors, tuner, turbo!

Why did it crank so long before starting?
It was the next morning when I recorded that part, and it was cold haha. I have a dead bank of glow plugs😂

Well, this turbo will support up to 205/80 injectors, ~500hp
It hit 30PSI on stock sticks but can easily surpass that once I go bigger!
It’s really an awesome turbo and has given me quite a bit more power in the higher RPMS, no drop in boost, it really is awesome friend!
Ok, but max boost rating is 35psi. Again I get that on stock turbo and stock sticks. Why didint you choose the 38r or the t4? Just woundering

Remember boost is arbitrary, it really doesn't mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things. 30 psi on a 30mm turbo and 30 psi on an 80mm turbo are two very different things. Not saying you have a 30mm turbo but you get the point.
You're correct a perfect Turbo setup would run one pound per 1 mm.

Not needed! This turbo is meant to run on stock sticks, and can support up to 205/30 Hybrids!
It makes an excellent replacement for the stock GT38, even if you aren’t looking to make more power. It eliminates surge and it’s dropped my EGT’s about 50-100 degrees when I’m getting on it!

It will not, the max this turbo can handle is 205/30 injectors!

Way more spool! And I noticed a power difference for sure. It also got rid of the turbo surging!

I find it funny that people think that napa filter acctually helps, I mean your sucking in only hot air lmao
If you stuff the filter in a plastic box that immediately reaches the ambient temperature of the engine compartment your really doing something. LMAO… once the truck is moving it doesn’t make but about 20* difference anyhow. Low restriction or plastic box… 🤷 is there really a hp difference?
