Star Wars dark forces. was so fun from what I remember, but I couldn't finish it because it would give in motion sickness when I would play more than 10 mins. But looking back, it was empty. But the story was good. And the ship parts were good too.
Your "Doom vibes" regarding Star Wars Dark Forces are spot on. It's basically Doom with a Star Wars skin. Don't take that as a complaint. For the time, that was pretty high praise. Ultimately, the lore it inspired far outshined the game itself however.
