Mine is also a 2014 Murano. I had loud and weak acceleration on the highway and a P1778 code. The replacement went exactly as shown in the video. I used a new pan gasket and almost 5 1/2 quarts of Nissan NS-3 CVT fluid.
@@Neto1ikon The parts lady at Nissan said it would be 8qt. That may be necessary if the whole valve body is replaced, or maybe that's what they normally overcharge customers. I wasn't sure so I bought 8 just in case and she let me return the two unopened quarts.
@@Neto1ikon Did it fix the problem? It did for me, but the same code has come in a few times over the past year, without the performance issues. It seems to still drive fine, so I've just been clearing the code.
@opiate2L @opiate2L so far, its been running good. Its my mom's car so since i have yet to get a phone call, i think we are in the clear lol. Thing is, i dont recall her ever getting a light per se...she just said it wouldnt let her go above 60 mph. I scanned it and the code came up. It drives normal now. Where did you get your motor from? I went cheap and got one from amazon with high ratings/purchases. Wonder if its possibly just a sensor issue?
Did vehicle work after stepper motor replace? you didn't have any issue after that? My 2013 murano has the P1778 code and Nissan wants me to replace whole transmission ($8K)
This video is soooo underrated
Thank you for sharing, there's alot of missing information, alot of unanswered questions.
Nice red Ferrari in the background

Damn 8k for one new transmission to much money is much better buy another car
What year is your Murano ? And how much transmission fluid was put in
You don't need to use silicone , they are just a pressure seal with a gasket
Do you know what year that Murano was mines a 2011 SV
Which year was your Murano? Also, how much ATF? Thanks
NOT ATF FLUID! Use CTV fluid. They are NOT the same.
