Prices differ if you are not buying the system out right. I have had my vivint account for a few years now and all equipment is paid off and I pay now around $25 a month. I have 4 cameras set up, window sensors in all accessible windows and doors, garage door opener, thermostat, glass breaker and a dvr hard drive like that records 24/7 that I can review and look back up-to i believe 20 something days. I love my system and have had no issues.
Got a quote yesterday for $100 a month and was told that ill get a 7day trial free of charge if dont like it can cancel and they will come back to take the equipment they supposed to come by to install but right after they had left i call them that i changed my mind and dont want it.
My home was recently broken into. I have a eufy doorbell, camera, and twice in the after midnight a.m. Hours, both times camera was shut off for over two hours… as great as the systems claim to be, I have not yet had any confirmation that these home surveillance systems can override someone with the ability to shut your surveillance cameras off before committing a crime in your home
Don’t go anywhere near this alarm company, someone stole my identity and used it to purchase the system and when I found out they told me they couldn’t do anything about it, I’ve been fighting this for over a year
@@8new888 I didn’t use a bank card, Vivint financed it through Citizens Pay and now I’m stuck with a loan that is not mine, I still fighting it as of yesterday, they dinged my credit as 60 days past due again! I had the account flagged as fraud and they still haven’t fixed the problem. I have hired an attorney now. In Ga it’s $2500 per incorrect reporting to a credit agency, Vivint and citizens have hit me 7 times already and the do not have a sighed contract with me, you do the math
I curious about the listed $29 monthly fee… I called Vivint today and they told me $49 monthly and a $99 activation fee.. I was also told I could cancel the service within 30 days and No penalties. After reading some reviews I don’t know who to believe.
I have Vivint and Hate it should have stayed with Ring much much better system. Never shows people at my door but tells me there is a package horrible system. and who cares how many times your patio door is opened and closed every day?
@@crazycomments8038 Because I was moving . When I talked to customer service they wanted me to leave my $1500 equipment in the rental house and wanted me to purchase new equipment for half off on new equipment lol. I didn’t appreciate them trying to sell me a deal that’s only going to benefit them. I told them no thanks they are not for their customers so just cancel my service and I just didn’t need them
I was just quoted today, no installation fee, but $103 per month for 5 years. 60% of that is paying off the equipment and the roughly $40 remaining is the monthly subscription that you continue to pay. To be clear, this is for 4 exterior cameras, not alarmed systems i.e. no door or window alarms. Seems awfully expensive for 4 cameras. Why are all the quotes so different?
They're preying on people who don't know any better. He pointed me to all the houses in my neighborhood that had vivint - they were all the elderly people. He straight up lied to me trying to make a sale multiple times. He told me that my wyze system is inaccessible outside of my home wifi. I turned off my wifi on my phone and showed him that you could see us talking live. He said that he has never seen that before, I showed him that even my POS Genie cameras did that. He changed to "well our cameras are connected to 5g! They won't turn off if your internet / power goes out." I said that the 5G IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD is hooked up to the neighborhood internet, if my internet goes out so does the 5G. Shady all around. When he knocked he waited for a solid 2 minutes outside if my house and kept knocking. There's nothing special about vivint, you can literally save thousands by DIYing it, and you don't have to deal with proprietary systems. On reddit so many people have said they have had to pay $300+ to replace Vivint's doorbell on their property after spending thousands of dollars.
I am going to get the service but I asked the guy if he seen the movie 3:09 taken . And I asked if he knew Liam Neil son line he quoted it. While I was cleaning my 9
How can you cancel when you have their equipment Already? I don’t think that’s even possible but luring customers to buy their products with those promises is wrong
Vivint is the worst security system out there, I requested a tech to come out for three months straight! I was finally forced to cancel them and they charged me a bunch of money, along with all the things they made me do to cancel them, they took 30 days to do it, and still charged me the monthly fee even thoe the system wasn't working the whole time I had it. Read the contracts People!! The tech support is trash!! not even American, Try stating your case to some guy in India, wile you hear them laughing and having a good ol time in the background, this company is a Joke!!
The customer service is trash. I was approved for a promotion that I never got applied to my account. I have called them several times and no answer from the loyalty department yet I would not refer any of my family.
Same Here, I called and they tried to sell me a 3 year contract in order to get the promotion. I even spent $3000 with this company. I say fuck Vivint and the Indian workers.

I'm only now hearing about vivint. How long did it take you to pay off the equipment?
I'm considering using this as my home security.
@@Trinidargon just save up bro it’s worth it with Vivint and legal gun ownership you stave off illegal criminal activity

That's not a problem with vivint- that's with whatever bank you had with the card used.

If you entered into a contract then there is a cancelation fee. You should look at your paperwork
Yea if u cancel babe u still gotta pay for the months under the contract
Typo it was actually $1500 For the ppl that didn’t ready the whole contact . Yooo don’t find out the hard way like I did lmao

You can cancel it just won’t work
Was told that could cancel anytime. Is this not true
If you paid for the equipment upfront will be fine!! But if you cancel are stuck with equipment like me.
Simplisafe is better deal it seems
They need to be reported
