Just switched from another very large alarm company competitor , and very impressed with panel, camera, and all of the features available. Definitely an upgrade from what I had.
It seems like their panel is of a lower quality than would be expected. I can understand the appeal of having a managed solution, but I would definitely pass on their offering.
Why are they charging so much for DVR service? Why does Vivent open a line of credit through a lender for the equipment? Why is the equipment over $3000, same equipment from RING would be closer to 1/6th the cost. Why when cancelling after contract and getting new $24 monthly bill, do I get mysterious $132 dollar charges every month?
Never go with Vivint. I worked for them for 3 years as customer support. They would directly tell us to lie to customers and their products are horrible and they specifically wanted us to lock people into unfair contracts.
For me personally, there were several reasons for me to cancel. The installation was so amateur I had to have it redone. Some of the devices failed. I would have to make service calls which they always charged for. Replacing a device cost. The monthly subscription went up. On top of the lengthy contract. The monitoring part was fine. Everything was z-wave and although I do use Alexa it wasn’t a smooth situation. I didn’t hate the service but it didn’t warrant a contract extension at the time. For context, I originally signed up in 2014 and kept them for 5 or 6 years. Ending the term early was too costly so I kept it until it was over. Oh and then they charged me 2 or 3 months after cancellation by mistake. Fun. But that was my situation. I’m sure there’s plenty other people who are happy with it. Rant over.
They won't give prices online they also used to have a rule where they won't cancel your service unless you send in a picture of yourself with a paper that says cancel my plan on it. They are just all around a bad company and have been banned from selling in multiple states before due to sketchy businesses practices
I wouldn't recommend Vivint. Having worked for them, their shady business practices are just not worth the hassle. The quality of their products is also subpar.
I’ve been working for them for 2 years, the only shady part about them is some door to door sales reps rip people off. The company has improved a lot since being bought out by NRG.

Yeah sure. As them about billing twice in a month. Or the scam call center callers who spell VIVINT as VIVNIT. Or the fact yhat all comments not kissing Vivint behind are censored. Or how many BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU complaints there are.

Dude your getting paid to lie

That's great to hear!
This is a great video. Did you get the 24/7 playback recorder? Nice feature that wasn't told to us and now wants almost $300 to install
The subscription should come with that. Maybe there are different plans I'm not aware of.

it id s good panel is not low quality
Depends on the panel. Their Smart hub is OK. The smart hub pro is a significant upgrade, and doesn't need to be wall mounted, so much less invasive

Cuz ring sucks lol
What's the manufacture of the smart panel? Ademco?
It doesn't say, but it is the Vivint Sky Panel.
Vivint designs and builds their own security panel.
This video show the Vivint Smart Hub panel
@@nathanmclain9027 They used to get panels from 2GIG Technologies before making their own panels
Qolsys is the manufacturer. Vivint is also known for using some 2GIG products as well.
What are they charging you per month for this?
30 for Smart Security and 50 for Smart Home
What’s the difference? Thank you

I wouldn't recommend Vivint at all...was glad to get rid of them!
Same. Had them and wasn’t very happy overall. I cancelled them about 4 years ago.
Why is that?
No plans to get this system but just curious on the reason(s) why you were glad to ‘get rid of them’

Are you still working for them? I am interviewing with them and curious to see if you liked it
@@benjypolican you hook me up with a spotlight pro ?
I could’ve sold you this 😂
Oh really? 😄
Guys never buy vivint because my cousin have this in the house and 911 always come to my cousin so never buy this
Based on the comments on this video, it sounds like Viviant isnt a good company.
It’s Vivint btw

My viviant system never works ..its complete trash .

I think that if you stop paying their monthly fee, they will brick your system.
Rightt
They don't, they disable monitoring and mobile app. And you can still view your cameras, control your smart lights, Vivint thermostats, etc.
