I justed opted to not use it. It's sitting all brand new in the original box.

BEWAR!!! I just got mine from Ford with my Ford pass points. They don't say anything about basically gluing to your hood with double backed foam tape. Not a chance that that's going to happen on my new 2023. What if one day you decide you don't want it anymore for some reason? The paint would never be right. Back in the day, they had brackets and bolted up under the hood so that you could replace a damaged one or just take it off with no damage to the paint. Your video was a great tutorial but I'm sending mine back. Not one of Fords better ideas.

Thanks for your reply! Back in the day, they used to have brackets. The paint was UV faded just as the tape down. 20 years from now, when the defector is falling apart, how is the rest of the truck look? Either way, it doesn't bother me.

They have one that does that.

Well they do have products like Goo Gone now that will take the adhesive off of your paint job without damaging it.
