had the same problem with a set that i picked up. was able to find the surround online (simply speakers?) am just a little handy. replaced the surround in a few hours. they sound wonderful, better than expected.
Hello there yes its sounds very good and my opinion is maybe a bit better as befor but am very glad with this great Spaekers and i like to listen to ....thanks for your reaction and wish you all the best...Bert
Be aware that the woofers are actually 12 ohms each - wired in Parallel to give a 6 ohm load, by putting 8 ohm speakers in there, you will be changing the crossover point from the intended 800hz as this is dependent on impedance. Far better to repair in my opinion.
hello Gordon thank you for your reaction and advis but the original spaeker has the same 8 ohm and my tough was i bring the same 8 ohm speaker back to the system and what can i say this is working very wel and sounds like before so no problem with that.....thanks again best wisches Bert
@@PA5HR1 No problem in that case, my woofers measured at 12 ohms, so perhaps mine is a slightly different model. I'm glad you are enjoying your speakers, they do give a very nice sound. 🙂
You need to screw out the clamps for the straps, underneath are screws too, and under the spring speaker connections is a screw too. Then you can lift the cabinet
Hi! Why did you not replacing the rubber surrounding insted if the hole speaker. In your case you will change the sound of the speaker.
