Assuming that the speaker drivers are 8 ohm, then a 12V power supply will only provide roughly 1.5 amps of current, and your power output to the speakers will be limited to probably 15W. That assumes that the power supply can provide that sort of current output at 12V.

You are awesome the speaker drivers are 8 ohm 35 Watt as per spec of RL 35. The DC power is 12v at .5 amps, the module provider says they support 8-24v but did not mention amperage. So are you suggesting that if I use a 24 v adapter the speaker will output 35W?

It's more about the available current output than the voltage of the power supply. Look for a 12v supply that can deliver 2 amps or a bit more. The sound level you will perceive with a power supply delivering 35w will be little different from what you will perceive at 18w (only 3dB louder). Because of the logarithmic nature of sound level perception, you would need a 10x increase in power input to perceive a doubling of the sound output.

Really nice project, well done.i want to try something simulare with beovox cx50. I see you have beolab 3. Is it true that there is no spare parts available?

@@yvindFriksen thank you so much. I love my Beolab 3's both look and sound wise, and yes it seems harder and harder to get parts for it, I spoke with B&O tech here in Canada a while ago and he was telling me that the parts are scarce and if you find the part you are still better off to just buy another set rather than getting parts to fix it.....

I would suggest to order 2 arylic up2stream amplifiers. They have a dsp. Also internet streaming etc.
Then use 2 19 to 24volt 2amp or more adapters. Will sound alot better as well

Thank you so much for the suggestion, I’m thinking to do another project with RL 45 or 60s and will consider your recommendation for sure.
What would be great is if we could get similar amps with WISA compatibility that way we can integrate with other B&O products that are WISA ready

    Very inspiring ,
would it also be possible to connect more than two bluetooth modules?
    Greetings from Belgium

I am not sure that would be a question to the seller of the module this is the one I bought
Each module can support two speakers

Use a piece of scotch tape wrapped around the end of your finger and touch it to tweeter dome to pop it back out.

To me when people don't use the correct drill bit,it's like the sound of finger nails scratching a blackboard,I'll never understand why people find it so difficult to match the bit to the screw.
