Those "Old Folks" cars we love seem to have a habit of accelerating the aging process in humans. So the next time we see April do that Hoopty High-Kick, we might hear her hip turn to powder. 😳
I bought my son one for his first car in 2017, 1 owner Cartier edition with 73k miles for $3k. Took it home and replaced all the light bulbs, hoses, plugs, wires, fluids, brake pads & tires. He drove the hell out of it for the next 6 years without any problems... until he got rearended by a Suburban and pushed into another truck.
I dont know why, but 90s kid me loved them so much. Every time they were in a movie, I always thought it was the coolest car. Especially in Gross Point Blank.
Yes. I had the comparable Cadillac Fleetwood Broughm (though from a decade earlier - mid 70's) but the Lincoln Towncar (1990-1994) still stands as THE BEST ride.
I like hoovie, I really do. I think he's a great guy, I also think he's a know it all who gets annoyed with people (especially his girlfriends/wife) who don't know it all. I hope he keeps it under wraps for her, cause jesus...I'm no simp, but she is an absolute smoke show...she would have to swat my tongue out of her rear end if she was my gf/wife
My grandpa Keith used to drive one of these up from Oklahoma back in the day. He would set the cruise on I-44 at 85 with a 357 revolver in the glove box and a case of Coors in the back seat.
This is absolutely the hottest thing I’ve ever seen, period. The car is half of the reason I said that! The other half is that SHE ACTUALLY WANTED & bought ONE! Sorry Tyler! I’ve never been envious of anything you’ve had up until this VERY MOMENT. But, hats off to you brother…you knocked it out of the fucking park with her!
My dad was obsessed with the 80s Lincoln Town Cars, and eventually bought a 95' Crown Vic LX. The most comfortable car with its effortless V8, cushy ride, and soft fabric seats. We'd load it up with 6 people and road trip. Great find!
I had a 1993 back in the early 2000s.A couple days after I got it ,went from NH to Iowa and back to a family thing. I had no problems with it and averaged 26 MPG on the trip. I hope April loves hers as much as I loved mine.
When you finally find THE ONE. He's had a few trys but now he's got it right. Congratulations Tyler for finding the girl you should have had all along!
My grandparents had a 1989 Lincoln Continental Executive Series. My grandfather worked at the dealership at the time when it was brand new. They had it in the family for years. We are from South Dakota so not a lot of driving and it wasn't the winter car. My grandfather sold it in2010 with only 56,000 miles on it and it was still a gem.
I have a 1993. Bought it because my parents are getting older, and it was getting less dignified for them to get in and out of my F-150. What I didn’t know was that I always needed this car in my life.
That's a fantastic purchase. I would do the "good" upgrades, from suspension, and other things like the radio upgrades so you can connect your phone. Nothing too extreme.
If I were going to pull the dash out, I would also replace the heater core. Those are cheap and also require pulling the dash so you could save a lot of time and money just replacing it now.
Love it! I never thought I would buy one, but sure enough, a 2004 Town Car (67,000 miles) now in my garage. My wife promptly named it FOMAC (“eFfing Old Man’s Car”) but she enjoyed it on our 800 mile road trip. (And I’m also a fan of Anthony-and his Papa Bear-for Specialty Motor Cars.)
April, I fully approve of your new to you daily driver! Only 42k miles? That car has MANY miles to go before it stops running. As in at least 400k. LOL Nice pickup!!
That is such a beautiful example, I absolutely loved seeing the interaction between April and David, she is gaining her wings and white a gorgeous car, you guys could care about in the backseat, maybe that can be your tornado bunker
I had a limo business and we had a bunch of Town car limo conversions, up to tandem axle, 130" stretch. Those cars, fully loaded, weighed twice what they were designed for and the drivers could be hard on them. Apart from a couple failures with the early Mod motors, they would routinely run 175k without issue. I just love those cars.
Man i love that color. And the name!!! Silver metallic rose? Almost as good as millennium jade or midnight purple 💜. My dad had two of these and they drive amazing so comfy. Like riding on a cloud. Never seen one with a sunroof.
Beautiful car. I went on my honeymoon in that exact same car. Man the champagne color, the ride was unbelievable. On way home from wedding my mom was ran off the road and it rolled over into trees. She crawled out of it and drove back to Florida from Louisiana in a tow truck. Not a scratch on her. We were out of the country and did not know it even happened. It accelerated great, comfortable, reliable, good gas mileage, and safe. Great, great cars.
@@richardmorris7063 she let us use her vehicle and next day we flew out. Better we left the wedding in her car back to my beat up SHO, lol. She was getting over 20 miles a gallon on that car. I sure miss my mother. She been gone since 2003.
Hi, April. 😀👆 Congratulations on your Beautiful Lincoln Town Car. Looks like you have fully recovered. Great episode with the Wizard. We need more remote GMYT shoots.
I was going to post 'the most reliable Lincolns ever made' but Lincolns have a pretty good track record for reliability. Each of them may have had one or two common faults but those were generally minor. The dash can be pulled back from the right side and bungeed to the headrests while replacing the actuator and (blend door?), after that there really aren't any major common issues. (ex-Lincoln dealer tech)
That is a great car. Love the exterior and interior colors, super comfortable as cars should be, and it is great to see April in a car video imitating Hoovie and talking to the Car Wizard.
The 70's Lincoln s were the best ride and they cruised well on the highway, I had a 75 Lincoln MKIV back in 86 & I currently have a nice 2005 Lincoln Town Car Sig series ... Also I sold new Lincolns from 200 to 2007.. Loved smelling a new car every day for 7 years :)
I agree. The 1970's Lincolns were the best. They had the weight, a 460 V-8, and they would glide down the highway. You barely used the accelerator pedal, and would glide at 60 MPH. Cruising was effortless, and they could go 90 miles an hour all day long. A 1970's Lincoln can run over the crap they sell today, and keep on going.
Hoovie, long time follower and I never post comments, but I just had to tell you how much you Scored with this whole package. You are one lucky man. 😘😍
I learned to drive (in part) in one of these. My Mom's was a 91' executive series in Burgundy. Driving it was like floating on a cloud. She bought it used with low miles in 93' and kept it in immaculate condition until selling it in the late 00's for a very good price. We called it the 'cadaver carrier' because so many mobsters had them and the trunk is still probably the largest trunk I've ever seen. Truly a great car assuming you got a good one, whether driving around town or especially for road trips. Serious nostalgia from this video
Loved this episode I'm glad April is getting into the car hobby as well, that's so cool...plus you guys are extremely fortunate to have the wizard as a mechanic, I would truly appreciate an honest and extremely knowledgeable mechanic as the wizard, thanks for making my Saturday kids, you guys rock!!!
I remember, back in the day, when the rental fleets were blowing these things out here in Orlando. They were selling very low mileage examples for $18,000.
Nice to see April walking without assistance already. This is a good sign she's healing up nicely. That pose on the hood though............TYLER WINS!!!!!!
I almost unalived myself and a local celebrity in a Town Car of that generation. I drove limos and airport cars part-time in the early 2000s, and the company only had this one of this generation. All the other cars were the new bodystyle. This car didn't steer. Well, it steered when it wanted to, after some thought. It was terrifying. You'd turn the wheel, and 3-5 seconds later, the car would react. I dropped the local celebrity off, took the car back to the shop, and explained that that car should not be on the road. One of the managers said they had just spent $2500 on it. I suggested that he go drive it, to his credit he did, and it scared him. The next time I went to work, 3 days later, the car was gone.
I thought the color was 'Dusk Rose Metallic" I sold a few of those, with the white leather interior they were sharp, very sharp. As far as everyone looking at April when they got to the Wizard's? I'd rather look at April than Hoovie any day. Yes the '91 was the first year for the 4.6, the '90's had the new body styling but a 5.0 engine and different bumper covers with the top of them being chrome. the 91 had the new engine but the old transmission, I lost a few sales to Lexus and Cadillac because the transmissions shifted "rough", the next year they came out with an electronic shift transmission. With that transmission sometimes the only indication you had of shifting was the change in exhaust note.
My mom had that car in the Mercury Marquis version, and I think a few years newer, maybe a 1995. It looked almost the same as April's except without a sunroof. Same color paint and interior, fully loaded with the 4.6L V8. When my wife and I got married we went to Michigan for a visit (my folks lived near Detroit) and she let us use it to drive to Niagara Falls. It was like sitting on a sofa watching southern Ontario float by. (We got 26 mpg, I do remember that, it was amazing for a V8 and wasn't TOTALLY gutless).
Whoa! A Saturday show! Wondered what you 2 did on the weekends! I drove one of those as a cab driver! Big ole boat! Loved it. My parents had one too. In fact, my dad only likes to buy Lincolns. Nice ride, April! EDIT: That was funny as hell. Great episode. The turtle thing was sad and funny.
We were a town car family as a kid. Started with an 1984, then 1988, then 1991, then 1994. Mom ended her panther platform era with a very nice 1999. Great, great family cars.
I worked for JLR and we had a convertible Evoque in our fleet. It was a rare and special car, you either liked it or didn't, I always did. It did however actually catch a very small FIRE, but luckily it happened at the dealership when they were doing repairs and not in our office!
What a wonderful Saturday surprise, she's a natural behind the camera. Maybe you can also re-purpose "Little Hoovie's Garage" as "April's Garage" or something. Keep up the great work y'all!
Same steering wheel as the Mustang. 😄 I had an '89 that we got from grandma and I LOVED IT! Leather seats. That smell was timeless! The ride was unsurpassed, and the 5.0 V8 was fun. I may just go looking for another.
I guess it's your car you can do what you want but generally I try and keep my feet off of my paint. Beautiful car I do love the land Yachts myself I had a 1970 Ford Galaxie 500 as my first car and still looking for another one one day
I purchased a 1999 Lincoln town car , with 94,000 miles … my friend bought a 96 with 52,000…. They are super dependable and so smooth and fun to drive …
Lots of nostalgia for me in those old panther platforms. I learned to drive on my dad's '84 Mercury Grand Marquis. Most of my uncles drove Lincoln Town Cars from the late eighties and nineties. Lots of passenger and trunk space to carry a bunch of people and all their stuff. I think the 4.6 modular was built to be just a little bit cleaner, smoother, quieter and slightly more efficient than the 5.0 it replaced. Very dependable and pretty easy to maintain.
I loved this shes so comfortable around a camera and with the WIIIIZARD she should definitely make more videos with you!! plus as someone who got a 2003 lincoln town car signature for his first car I love the 91' she chose and I didn't know it came in such a paint color!! land yatchs forever!!
I loooove those cars! Best commuter vehicles you can get. "Adequately" powered, salon-like seating, and that cushy, cushy ride. You got yourself quite the cream-puff there, April! Kudos! ✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦

Same steering wheel as the Mustang. 😄 I had an '89 that we got from grandma and I LOVED IT! Leather seats. That smell was timeless! The ride was unsurpassed, and the 5.0 V8 was fun. I may just go looking for another.
My favorite UA-cam channel ever lol!😂😂
I guess it's your car you can do what you want but generally I try and keep my feet off of my paint. Beautiful car I do love the land Yachts myself I had a 1970 Ford Galaxie 500 as my first car and still looking for another one one day
The turtle scene cracked me up!

I purchased a 1999 Lincoln town car , with 94,000 miles … my friend bought a 96 with 52,000…. They are super dependable and so smooth and fun to drive …
Better start looking for a winter home in Arizona!
April achieved the goal I
had back in 1992 to have a Lincoln Town Car. Great tag team approach!
tyler really hit the jackpot with april
someone who is only with you because you're a c list celebrity? Pass
@@guyod1 IKR, it really is concerning how many men in the comments got the wool pulled over their eyes with this woman.
Another year in Kansas and she will be driving a Prowler.
John Deere
I loved this shes so comfortable around a camera and with the WIIIIZARD she should definitely make more videos with you!! plus as someone who got a 2003 lincoln town car signature for his first car I love the 91' she chose and I didn't know it came in such a paint color!! land yatchs forever!!
I loooove those cars! Best commuter vehicles you can get. "Adequately" powered, salon-like seating, and that cushy, cushy ride. You got yourself quite the cream-puff there, April! Kudos! ✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
