N Crsio - congrats! I don't find it too restrictive at all, aside from bread. There are some amazing recipes out there. Pinterest is a godsend. Keto coupled with IF has curbed cravings and I'm not hungry. I think about cookies and cakes but only because i love them. Been back on for 1.5 months and have lost about 20 lbs.
All weekend my family made comments, looked at me weird, and made fun..We were at the beach for the weekend-a place where you indulge in ice cream, elephant ears, pizza, candy, taffy, caramel corn, etc. I had to call the pizza place ahead of time to see what kind of sauce they used on their wings..turns out I had to order them plain and pick picked up a cup of Frank's Red Hot at a sandwich shop down the street. I had all of my burgers wrapped in lettuce...my breakfast just bacon and eggs..I'd have a salad, and I brought my own protein chips for snack. It is pretty restrictive, I am not going to lie. It's not so much the carbs but the hidden sugars that you have to go out of your way to get away from. And people can look at me and find it funny or weird all they want, all I know is I lost 8 pounds last week and I am not letting any speck of sugar or bad carbs knock me out of ketosis!
Yeah, but keto diet does not have much fiber. I would believe that you would get constipated eating all that meat. Is constipation an issue on the keto diet? Having regular bowel movement are a part of being healthy too. Please address, thanks.
I lost a 100 pounds independently I didn't join a gym or subscribe to a diet plan I went to a normal grocery store and bought produce and protein as in meat not protein bars or shakes And I started walking I walk with blisters on my feet my heels cracked and I lost two toenails but I kept on pushing through it no matter what It's been 370 days since I've had sugar artificial natural or refine My weight now is 126 lbs It took nine months to get the weight off
congratulations and enjoy the new healthy lifestyle! i dont know how much you walked, or how much you ate, I dont know if you were hungry, ate one meal a day or fasted or not. I dont know if you were on Keto or not, but you can walk with good shoes so you dont ruin your feet or legs when you get older you may have a problem later on if you dont take care of yourself. The human body can use fats and proteins for energy, too, so can get sufficient energy without eating carbs. The human body must have proteins and fats. The digestive system digests proteins into amino acids and fats into fatty acids. The body's cells are made up of proteins and fats. If a person does not get sufficient quantity and the required variety of amino acids and fatty acids, the person will have nutritional deficiencies.

In a nutshell, Dr. Fung and his co-workers at the Toronto, Canada, Intensive Dietary Management clinic have their patients use low-carb eating style and therapeutic fasting to reverse overweightness, obesity, and/or diabetes type 2.
I saw a video Jillian Michaels did. She pretty much said never do keto. But a doctor at Duke University did a study and said keto is great for us. I'd probably take his word over hers.
Jonathan Collins I followed Dr Jason Fung who is a nephrologist because I am a diabetic. When he started recommending keto, it was all the green light I needed. Then I found Dr Berg and he is wonderful. I will never take advice from a person ( J Micheals) who is trying to sell me a FAT BURNER, because pills never have side effects... It reminds me of big pharma. I would still be on insulin if it was up to them.

For net carb totals look at the total carbohydrates on the label then subtract fiber and sugar alcohols. That will give you the net carb amount. Fiber and sugar alcohols negate carbs. Switch to almond milk or heavy cream. Most major supermarkets sell keto bread products now. Mission brand tortillas are great and have only 4 net carbs. You can make homemade taco seasoning using chili powder, onion powder, cumin and paprika. You can have cheese, mayo, sour cream, creamy dressings. Forget everything you ever learned about dieting and make low carb a lifestyle. 99% of recipes can be made into a low carb version. Best of luck and I hope this helps! The Agoge diet works great and you feel great, contrary to keto. Keto isn't supposed to be adhered to by healthy people and without medical supervision.
I've been following her on my personal page for quite some time and now on my weightloss page and she and a few others inspired me to give keto a shot. I love it and am excited about how far I've come since starting the end of August. My teen will be starting in the the summer as well. We are slowly taking things out for him to help transition. I was very inspired watching this video. Due to my current health issues, my Doctors have strongly advised me to lose weight and eat healthy. They also stated that the number one diet in the country, recommended by Doctors, is the "Mediterranean Diet". My next door neighbors are from Egypt and they have eaten this way all of their lives. The entire family is slim and healthy. Now they are showing me the types of meals that they prepare and eat. It reminds me of Greek food... Very delicious and healthy. Keto diet is the only answer I went from size 16 to 6. I do 16 to 18 hours intermitent fasting I do not crave sugar at all and I do have lots of energy Nutritionist always tell you eat fruit..and thats the problem...Sugar!! Cut sugar and will see the results. I am also vegan so I eat tofu,avocado,organic peanut butter,seeds,nuts,coconut oil etc. I am super healthy first time I do not have vitamins deficiency, anemia I do feel and look great!! I told my daughter don't eat fruit for a month and she lots 6 kg!! And not a single day at the gym. Anyone can do it!! If someone said this diet is not good is definitely someone who is making money prescribing meds for diabetics, high cholesterol etc.

I started keto 5 days ago and I have lost 6lbs as of today! And that’s with eating as much as I wanted the last two days and I still lost weight. I almost went off by eating a Ice cream I got for someone else and I used willpower. Decided to get some Keto options and that’s worked! Been able to have keto ice cream and that has helped. I wouldn’t recommend eating a lot of it and constantly as it’s not the healthiest but if you a sugar addict like me, it is a game changer! Really recommend.

Check out Imperfectly Perfect Keto group on Facebook I know the admin personally and she has lost a huge huge amount of weight and looks absolutely amazing. In the group they don't judge, bash and there aren't any "Keto Police" In there either. They post recipes, tips, info and they have accountability check a so that you can post what you've eaten and they have monthly pic posting so you can show your before and after school!! I love this group because it's not mesy and no one judges you everyone is so helpful and encouraging!! I highly recommend this group for keto journeys of all levels!!
That woman is gorgeous no matter what weight she is. The year of Katrina when we lost everything I weighted 283. Within 18 months I was down to 143. I have fluctuated since then between 119 and 173 lb. No weight today is 139. I yo-yo as you can see between the weights but for the most part I've kept it off

Im Keto all day, that my preference. But for some it's not sustainable even if the modify it because they have no desire to restrict certain things from their diet. It's easy for me and fast, I love it!

I tried keto once before a trip and I can honestly tell you Im shocked. I eat alot so at 223lbs 6 feet 1 I lost 15 lbs in a month easy. Without a gym. I got fat again so back at weight but now I know that if I adapt this more often then not. I should easily lose weight over time. The gym might come in handy once I start feeling better about myself.
Kudos to Ms. Brisco as Keto requires consistent discipline. Good decision to coach too. I'm sure coaching is a good motivator for ongoing maintenance. I do feel there was a missed opportunity in this segment. There are other factors at play such as genetics, prior medical history, as well as existing medical conditions, etc. I would have liked to have seen a side discussion about how Keto impacts various health conditions. Instead this coverage makes it appear like "All you have to do is..." which makes it seem like another fad diet. It's a better way of life/eating for MOST people.

I am 14 years old (turning 15 in July) and I have tried every single method in this world and each time I try something I feel depressed and always bored because I barely get results and nothing in the diets I’ve tried have been efficient and I didn’t believe any of them would last for 3 months+ :( if ur reading this please help me, everyone in my family and friends always try to help but nothing is satisfying my cravings and my study schedules are tight so I never have the time to cook for my self and exercise :( I rlly hope I could do this before I turn 20 becuz being 70 kilos (154 pounds) doesn’t sound right at all.
For me, Day 3 was the hardest. Thankfully it was a Saturday and I slept all day... totally deprived of energy. But the 4th day, my energy returned and I lost my first 5 pounds quickly.
It will feel like you are back to normal in 24-48 hours... trust me. You might even feel like you have more energy. Your body will be starving itself of stored carbs without you noticing. Good luck!

I saw a video Jillian Michaels did. She pretty much said never do keto. But a doctor at Duke University did a study and said keto is great for us. I'd probably take his word over hers.

Jonathan Collins I followed Dr Jason Fung who is a nephrologist because I am a diabetic. When he started recommending keto, it was all the green light I needed. Then I found Dr Berg and he is wonderful. I will never take advice from a person ( J Micheals) who is trying to sell me a FAT BURNER, because pills never have side effects... It reminds me of big pharma. I would still be on insulin if it was up to them.

U can make your own KETO cinnamon rolls, pudding, cakes, cookies, ice cream, pancakes..use Xylitol, Eyrithitol or Monk Fruit as ur sweetener...Almond and Coconut Flour, etc. .I've lost 80 lbs and loving my life. And btw, it's not just any bacon/meats but uncured...no sugar...no nitrates, grass fed beef, wild caught fish, etc. No cravings at all. Working on developing more tone in my midsection now. I went back and forth with keto and decided to make a pact with myself: I chose to make it my way of eating for the rest of my life. Lordy I feel so good! I took my triglycerides from 400 to 114! For me it had to be like a marriage or a legal binding contract. A purposeful COMMITMENT if you will. I am committed to this! A promise to myself.

@@Empress_Von For starters kind of immerse yourself with keto/low carb videos and recipes. For weight loss shoot for 20 net carbs a day. Start reading nutrition labels on food! For net carb totals look at the total carbohydrates on the label then subtract fiber and sugar alcohols. That will give you the net carb amount. Fiber and sugar alcohols negate carbs. Switch to almond milk or heavy cream. Most major supermarkets sell keto bread products now. Mission brand tortillas are great and have only 4 net carbs. You can make homemade taco seasoning using chili powder, onion powder, cumin and paprika. You can have cheese, mayo, sour cream, creamy dressings. Forget everything you ever learned about dieting and make low carb a lifestyle. 99% of recipes can be made into a low carb version. Best of luck and I hope this helps! Today I had a sausage and cheese sandwich on keto bread, homemade cole slaw using mayonnaise and sweetener, and some deviled eggs.

5’4 female here diagnosed with NAFLD…. I just started the keto journey 4/15/23 at 210 lbs and I am down to 194 5/27/24. I feel SO much better. For the past few years I was in constant pain just moving because of gout/arthritis. The inflammation in my body is reversing. BTW, I can totally relate to her missing pb&j….😊. It’s a meal and a dessert
For me, once I was fat adapted, I stopped craving sweets. The cleaner you eat, the easier keto is and those sugar/ carb cravings go bye bye 👋

The Agoge diet works great and you feel great, contrary to keto. Keto isn't supposed to be adhered to by healthy people and without medical supervision.

I've been following her on my personal page for quite some time and now on my weightloss page and she and a few others inspired me to give keto a shot. I love it and am excited about how far I've come since starting the end of August. My teen will be starting in the the summer as well. We are slowly taking things out for him to help transition. I know so many believe that keto isn't good but there are so many pluses that this woe has. It's all about how you go about it. But thanks for sharing her story, she is amazing and so humble.

Keto Fluff....1 brick cream cheese softened room temp, mix with a mixer then add in 1 quart heavy cream mix on high for 2-3 min then add in 1 PKG of sugar free pudding flavor of your choice. Blend til fluffy..keeps for a week. I portion out 7 small serving sizes and enjoy a sweet treat every day.

I was very inspired watching this video. Due to my current health issues, my Doctors have strongly advised me to lose weight and eat healthy. They also stated that the number one diet in the country, recommended by Doctors, is the "Mediterranean Diet". My next door neighbors are from Egypt and they have eaten this way all of their lives. The entire family is slim and healthy. Now they are showing me the types of meals that they prepare and eat. It reminds me of Greek food... Very delicious and healthy. Keto diet is the only answer I went from size 16 to 6. I do 16 to 18 hours intermitent fasting I do not crave sugar at all and I do have lots of energy Nutritionist always tell you eat fruit..and thats the problem...Sugar!! Cut sugar and will see the results. I am also vegan so I eat tofu,avocado,organic peanut butter,seeds,nuts,coconut oil etc. I am super healthy first time I do not have vitamins deficiency, anemia I do feel and look great!! I told my daughter don't eat fruit for a month and she lots 6 kg!! And not a single day at the gym. Anyone can do it!! If someone said this diet is not good is definitely someone who is making money prescribing meds for diabetics, high cholesterol etc.

I started keto 5 days ago and I have lost 6lbs as of today! And that’s with eating as much as I wanted the last two days and I still lost weight. I almost went off by eating a Ice cream I got for someone else and I used willpower. Decided to get some Keto options and that’s worked! Been able to have keto ice cream and that has helped. I wouldn’t recommend eating a lot of it and constantly as it’s not the healthiest but if you a sugar addict like me, it is a game changer! Really recommend.

My job sent me to Manila, Philippines for 7 weeks! I hated the food but luckily they had a TGI Friday, that kept me alive! I ate 10 hot wings & a Coke everyday! I lost 24 lbs! I’m an avid bread eater but with wings I didn’t need bread!! So it worked out for me! ❤. Of course I got back to The Stares & found every pound I’d lost 😂. I’m about to do Keto again starting 03/01/24. 🙏 for me!

Check out Imperfectly Perfect Keto group on Facebook I know the admin personally and she has lost a huge huge amount of weight and looks absolutely amazing. In the group they don't judge, bash and there aren't any "Keto Police" In there either. They post recipes, tips, info and they have accountability check a so that you can post what you've eaten and they have monthly pic posting so you can show your before and after school!! I love this group because it's not mesy and no one judges you everyone is so helpful and encouraging!! I highly recommend this group for keto journeys of all levels!!

That woman is gorgeous no matter what weight she is. The year of Katrina when we lost everything I weighted 283. Within 18 months I was down to 143. I have fluctuated since then between 119 and 173 lb. No weight today is 139. I yo-yo as you can see between the weights but for the most part I've kept it off

I quit trying with keto... been trying for 6 years... i eat in a 2 hr window daily... whatever i want. It feels like freedom... I eat anything I want. I share it on my channel. I do try to eat a low inflammatory, nutrition dense WAPF style diet most days, but I don't have to. Fasting is healing AND burns fat. I love it. I think you should try OMAD. 22/2. It's awesome, I eat a large meal and whatever my body tells me to. I have dessert everyday!

I tried keto once before a trip and I can honestly tell you Im shocked. I eat alot so at 223lbs 6 feet 1 I lost 15 lbs in a month easy. Without a gym. I got fat again so back at weight but now I know that if I adapt this more often then not. I should easily lose weight over time. The gym might come in handy once I start feeling better about myself.

I do feel there was a missed opportunity in this segment. There are other factors at play such as genetics, prior medical history, as well as existing medical conditions, etc. I would have liked to have seen a side discussion about how Keto impacts various health conditions. Instead this coverage makes it appear like "All you have to do is..." which makes it seem like another fad diet. It's a better way of life/eating for MOST people.

I am 14 years old (turning 15 in July) and I have tried every single method in this world and each time I try something I feel depressed and always bored because I barely get results and nothing in the diets I’ve tried have been efficient and I didn’t believe any of them would last for 3 months+ :( if ur reading this please help me, everyone in my family and friends always try to help but nothing is satisfying my cravings and my study schedules are tight so I never have the time to cook for my self and exercise :( I rlly hope I could do this before I turn 20 becuz being 70 kilos (154 pounds) doesn’t sound right at all.

For me, Day 3 was the hardest. Thankfully it was a Saturday and I slept all day... totally deprived of energy. But the 4th day, my energy returned and I lost my first 5 pounds quickly.
Today is day 2 and I’m struggling but I’m more hungry for weight loss so I’m excited to see these results in a few weeks from now
