This has been so inspiring. I was over 500lb last week and I’m down to 488lb already this week. I’m literally looking to make a transformation just like this young lady.
Good job! I started on Oct 12th and have lost 16 pounds :D good job on your loss!!
Jamals, you keep going. I have a strong inner feeling you are going to be tremendously successful. Saying prayers for you. All my best!
You can do it! 12 lbs off that is awesome! Keep it up
Congratulations! Praying you will experience the reality of God's promise to you, found in Ezekiel 36:26-27, to have a new mind and new desires that will continue to foster your life change. I'm on that journey, too, and have 82 more pounds to go. But it's no longer about the pounds - it's about embracing discipline and loving myself, refusing to use food as a drug, and keeping my eyes on Jesus each morning, Who gives me wisdom and strength for each day and assures me of His love. Blessings to you!
Mr. Jamal I'm similar weight and I'm making changes as well! Fight on Brother!
I went from 235 to 170 in a couple of months this time last year. So far I've maintained it without having to try much. I remember finally getting below 200. I cried like a baby when I saw 199 on the scale! Such a feeling of accomplishment.
Yesss!! Congratulations
FABULOUS!!!!!!
How did you do it, may I ask?
A couple months? That’s not recommended but congrats on the weight loss.
How did you do it?? I'm desperate
I loved what her husband said about his wife, "She's amazing"!
Yes she is
This is MAGICAL AND REALISTIC all at once! I’ve lost my teen son to suicide in 2008. Right after he passed, I had NO appetite for food. Then for the next few years, I ended up become totally addicted to foods that were loaded with sugar and carbs. I had trouble sleeping at nights and foods became my comfort. I ended up piling on pounds… I am trying to gain control and focus on finding healthier ways to move forward. This video is truly an INSPIRATION!!!!
Sorry to hear that about your son.
You got this. Let him be your motivation to push yourself 😊 Blessings to you!
Bless you so much. I hope you feel better. You deserve to be happy so your loved one in heaven
Can smile
Down on you
So sorry for your loss💔
I’m sorry for your loss. God bless!❤
God bless you sweetheart.
The love and support of her husband and kids is everything!! Living in a SAFE neighborhood is a must!!! In some neighborhoods, walking outdoors isn't even an option.
Yes watch out for them roaming pit bulls
@@tracyzarate340 seriously! I used to live in a neighborhood where I would go out running. I was badly bitten more than once by loose dogs! Not just pitties, but they tend to be more bold and aggressive. Not ALL Pitties, before anyone blasts me, lol!
Yes, it's true.
I think neighborhood safety should be a federal mandate! 😜
So true
Treadmills are a great option. I lost a lot of weight using one that I bought for $300 from Walmart. I just bought a new one from Amazon and they delivered it too for $300.
Bravo to her! This was a great story!
ETA: Her husband seems like a great guy. Very supportive.
Perfect relationship ❤
I love how her husband is so supportive .
I was JUST going to say that exact thing! You can tell he *genuinely* loves her & is there for her, no matter what. 🥰
My husband basically laughs at me when I say anything about losing weight. He always says “ I bet, we’ll see”.
@@mawmawshomesteadpreparedness Oh, no. 😣 I'm sorry...😔
You done messed up, A-R-R-ON.
No it doesn't have the same ring to it.
@@mawmawshomesteadpreparedness Serve him divorce papers and tell him you're going to lose whatever he weighs.

🤣😂🥰
Haha good one!
Yes 👍🏿 at 3:10
😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂 I concur
I used to walk 3 to 5 miles a day, even pregnant. I cannot imagine walking 15 miles a day. Congratulations to Megan!
no need to exercise so much. eat less food and fast for 24 hours everyday
@@wickedhouston5538 🤣🤣🤣
@UCJsFLZ8ywILamXFAyIhELVQ how can you eat once a day when you're fasting for 24 hours a day 🤔
@@carissahowell you need to go back to school
@@wickedhouston5538 I know you mean one meal, and then fasting for 24 hours - but wow that is terrible wording! No wonder you’re confusing people.
I lost over 200 pounds 20 years ago. Never gained any of it back, I went from 320 pounds to between 111 and 117 pounds, very stable weight. I wear a size 0/2. I do eat, quite a bit in fact, small amounts several times a day. I also take small bites, eat slowly, and I eat enough protein and fats, no more, no less, enough. If you knew you could eat anything you want and not gain weight, food would stop being the enemy, there is no "good and bad" choices. Food is just food, when I am hungry I have something to eat, not all and not none, just some, if I want more, I have more, if I want less, I eat less because I can have more later, I don't wait for mealtime if I am hungry, I eat and done. Once you stop the obsessing, portion control, calorie counting, chewing 30 times and the hundreds of tips and tricks to lose weight you realize how much time and effort you put into dieting and how that can stop you from having other hobbies and interests. Put food in it's place.
Congratulations Teri
I'm still at 338, I'm 57, miserable getting old
Congrats to you, your my hero
@@tracyzarate340 Sigh. I'm trying, yet again, to lose weight. (I'm a few years older than you, Tracy.) It's HARD. The thing is, I like to travel. And asking for a seat extender on a plane is EMBARASSING. Trying to walk around cities or museums with over 100 extra pounds is exhausting. And COVID? Look at how many of the folks who have died - include the very young - are overweight. I'm vaccinated, but I'm still afraid with my weight that, should I catch the disease, I might not make it. So, once again, I'm on a diet. And trying to walk a bit. Who knows? This might be the time I succeed.
@@e.a.loomis2618 I ate watermelon for 3.day, and I lost 10lbs!!!!
It’s hard to do I know. I lost 63 pounds in 8 months. I cut sugar and carbs and walked. Covid I need to do this again. I really commend her it takes effort and you have to be sick and tired of being sick and tired. It’s all you. You can do none of this for anyone but you. As women we put ourselves last. She is awesome !
That's impressive, congrats! How long and how often did you walk? What time did you eat your last meal of the day?
@@V.E.R.O. I walked everyday. Usually 3 miles. I just ate lunch and dinner no carbs that weren’t natural carbs. I was on a budget so lunch was celery and hot dogs or a chicken breast. Dinner was usually a salad and meat. Just really meat, eggs, vegetables snd water. No sugar I felt great. Covid started and menopause so I gained weight where I never had weight. Going back to eating no carbs. No sugar again . I wish well .
I had so many people ask how I lost weight I said, I cleaned up my diet and walked. The only thing I bought was a gym shoes every 6 months I wore them out.
no need to exercise so much. eat less food and fast for 24 hours everyday
And she was wealthy enough to have a personal strength training coach. Can't leave out that part. As she said, she couldn't have maintained the weight loss without that part.
@@wickedhouston5538 good luck! It’s not easy. It’s an addiction. Just one day at a time. I usually took one day at a time I failed at times but don’t give up as whole. The most frustrating thing for me, I cleaned up my diet, walked everyday didn’t lose a pound for 3 months then the 4th month I lost 30 pounds. Be prepared you go to the bathroom a lot. I wish you well.
I'm so glad they're promoting a REALISTIC weight loss story. This is amazing!
Any weight loss story is realistic as long as you have discipline after getting to your goal weight
@@TheChief88 People who lose weight by starving themselves for one month (like via liquid diet or any diet cutting out most foods) are not going to be able to maintain that, because such a diet is never realistic and they lost the weight without learning healthy eating/exercising habits.
@@thelogicaldanger Fat people cannot starve. It’s impossible. If they gain it back after losing it all is because they lost their focus and discipline. Fasting is the most healthiest thing you can do along with exercise.
@@TheChief88 Of course they won't literally starve. I mean if someone loses weight solely by fasting/liquid diets/etc, they have not learned any eating habits. At some point the fast/liquid diet/etc will be broken, and they will go right back to their unhealthy eating habits, because they didn't learn any better, and gain all the weight back. Real world experience proves this time and again. Realistic weight loss is slow and steady, it is making small changes at a time, that the person can take the time to get used to the news changes, and to make changes that they will realistically be able to live with (and as they get used to small changes, it becomes easier then to build on that and make further small changes. )
@@TheChief88 Wrong.
Seeing her and her husband dancing alone in their kitchen was beautiful.
*This woman's transformation is nothing short of incredible! Seeing how she managed to lose over 200 pounds in 15 months is so inspiring. It's a great reminder that with determination and consistency, we can achieve our weight loss goals.*
I took over a year to lose 75 lbs, and I have kept it off for over 3 years. I weigh myself every morning. I use it as a tool to keep myself informed. Challenging myself physically makes me feel the most alive, and food is the fuel that gives me energy to do that.
Her husband so supportive that's a true husband 🙏 Blessing to both 🙏❤
Brilliant and
Helps
When spouses share lifestyle choices, it benefits both.
I subscribed to the Jason Statham method of get in, hammer and get out - no more than 45min. My Wife, on the other hand, would hammer for like two hours. Her 'warm up' would make mere mortals weep.
I think its so wonderful that her husband was so supportive and loving regardless of her size. Wow, what a gem.
I began walking 2 miles a day, everyday, for weeks, and my weight started to drop. Then I began to cut back a bit on the amount of food I ate, and eating a little better. And I began to lose more weight. We need to stay active to burn off the excess calories we take in.
Congratulations Rhonda!!!!
I love her philosophy and view point in life especially when she said we have everything we need to be successful in life we just have to believe in ourselves
Very inspiring! I lost 50 lbs in 5 months, still heading towards my goal. Once I cut sugar, simple carbs, and processed junk, it literally began falling off! Best wishes to all on the journey to better health!
Inspiring and massive success
So basically she ate right, exercised and was dedicated. This is a tried and true method no huge breakthrough. However great job on her part! Good for her!
😒😒🙄🙄🙄
I think everyone knows that's the answer. The real issue is the dealing with the pressure, the fear and the emotional and psychological turmoil that accompanies the process.
Congratulations on her…the problem is that people HAVE TO HAVE SELF CONTROL and sometimes DENY themselves things that are counterproductive to weight loss. So many can’t maintain this shift and therefore revert back to their original size…There is no magic cure, there is no magic pill, but discipline and focus and perseverance. If it was easy to lose and keep weight off why isn’t Oprah Winfrey thin???
I tried this and ended up with an eating disorder.
@John Foley - Adding muscle has a thermal effect of burning calories while you sleep or do nothing You don't have to walk or run.
For all of you that are focused on stretched skin, work situations, etc. Take those thoughts of doubts and negativity and turn it to determination. You can meet your goals but you have to make sacrifices. If you don’t do the work, you will Not get the results. You Can do it. Don’t compare yourself to anyone. I am on my own weigh loss journey which is not nearly as much but it requires a change in the way I think. Taking one day at a time! Love yourself! You are unique! You are special! You are a child of God!
you are cool. R.
Thank you! I needed to hear this!
Thanks!
She was wealthy enough to have a personal strength training coach. Can't leave out that part. As she said, she couldn't have maintained the weight loss without that part.
The sad truth is that for me, knowing I have loose skin is the most depressing thing ever being really keeps me from being dedicated to losing weight......i just wanna have a normal body
After pregnancies, women's bodies changes so much due to hormone changes and is harder to shed the pounds. I gained double my body Size and no matter what I ate, so I did researched and went to doctors and found that I had an insulin problem. Got it slowly corrected now I'm working on my weight loss journey. 5 foot 1 inches, before kids, I was 105 lbs, after kids I was 150 lbs. Currently on my diet and exercise and im at 127lbs. Keep going you can do it.
How did you fix your insulin resistance?
No matter what happens, it's the food (calories intake) you allow in your body and the frequency of eating (or "binge eating" which is the main culprit). It sounds dumb and stupid but it is what you ingurgitate in your belly that creates eating disorders and chemical imbalances. Once you realize that you take control of your eating habits. Good luck everyone. I'm also on my journey to loosing my own. 😉
I find this to be inspiring for more than just weight loss. It shows how much we can change in only 15 months, which is such a short time (esp. in retrospect)! It also highlights the importance of a support system.
I am thankful to see this today, and I wish this woman (and her support) continued wellness and blessings.💚
I love weight loss transformation stories because I love learning about the moment or situation that made them finally decide to lose weight. I don't have to lose weight, but I am in debt. So, I started my debt free journey this year and I am documenting my journey on my channel. Can't wait until I pay off all of my student loans!
Good for you ! 💪🏽

She’s such an inspiration, and I love the cadence of her voice
Wow! Such an inspiration! I have to lose 15 pounds & I can barely lose three & keep it off. Thank you for this story of this amazing woman!
She looks like a different person. It’s amazing how weight can distort your face.
It is very difficult. It takes a lot of focus to lose weight and keep it off.
My friend lost 10 pounds by increasing the amount of veggies she ate and limiting fruit to 3 pieces whole fruit per day. She also stopped all drinks except for water, black tea, and black coffee.
Her outlook on life and the unconditional love of her husband is inspiring. Her focus on small changes led her to monumental results which she continues to carry on. ♥
Awesome job sis! Way to get out there and make a change for yourself.
The gift of health that you're teaching your kids is the best reward or gift. Good job!!🥳
Congratulations Megan, I am about 100 lbs overweight, I watched your piece and you gave me the courage to try again. You look fabulous.
Pre-Covid, I was able to lose 75 lbs between WW and a pretty rigorous workout routine. The weight fell off fairly quickly but once we hit Covid, I wasn’t able to attend my fitness classes which made healthy eating less important, then I bought my own place, then had a back injury and plantar fasciitis and I ultimately gained it all back over these past 4 years. I have a better relationship with my appearance but I’m not comfortable in my body - I don’t sleep well, often hot, easily winded. I miss the me who could run 5k and shop in straight size stores. I think I’m in the right mindset to tackle this again. Her message is inspiring!
3 walks per day

Eating changes ?
6 months ( calorie intake concentration, no process food)

Amazing story! Megan, is so inspirational to a lot of people! The love and support, that she got at home, is felt around the world! I'm so happy for her! ⭐⭐⭐
Great story and glad she shared.
It's a emotional rollercoaster setting a plan and not seeing a response that amounts to much other than maintenance.
I am so happy for her! That is amazing accomplishment!
Beautiful lessons to teach your children. Discipline, consistency, goal setting & a respect for your body.
Just losing weight will not teach them that. But hopefully, they can learn from her if they themselves become too heavy for comfort.
That's what I was thinking.. amazing life lesson for her kids
Good for her!! She put in the work and saw results. People can change their health without gastric bypass.
There are many reasons besides weight loss to have a gastric surgery, it can help reverse diabetes type II immediately and it is not an easy option but it helps those who are too large to stay at their weight and lose weight slowly over time the surgery is at tool just like a pair of jogging shoes. You still have to put in the work to get results.
@@michellefunches1318 True but you can reverse type two diabetes with weight loss and without the huge risk of having bypass surgery. You have to be disciplined either way.
It’s so easy for people that don’t have weight issues to determine it’s “all” about the effort you put in as to the results you get. I have a child with, hypothyroidism, polycystic ovaries, and a catastrophic back injury, none of which are their fault. When your body is working against you, just eating well and exercising isn’t always enough or, possible, they eventually found a medication that helped. To those that want to lose weight for whatever reason, no matter how you get there be it, medication, diet and exercise or, gastric bypass when you get there, you deserve no less acknowledgement for your journey and successes than anyone else. Some people, need just as much help to learn how to keep their critical opinions to themselves, if only there was a bypass surgery for that!
Wow, good for her, so nice to hear a happy story for a change. I bet her kids are grateful too.
Good for you Megan! This is a strong, brave woman, took responsibility for her health for her future and her children. Truly inspiring story and role model.

I’ve seen weight loss shows where the person gets skin removal surgery after losing all the weight. They would be left with some major scars. Her arms look amazing. Whoever did her skin removal is a total rockstar surgeon. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Good for her, I just started my journey, I have cut down the sugars, and junk food., and the Beer, no more beer for me, and am ok with it. I have seen some changes. I really appreciate and respect her motivation, tenacious attitude and honesty.
Often times ppl at that weight do not mention the lose skin removal they’d played it off as just strength training.

Good Job !! Very inspiring
Aralele, At 71, I can barely walk across a room. Or lift a bag of groceries. WOW! Your story is so very inspiring.
GOD BLESS!
People need to just keep moving. Get up and walk.
This lady is living proof that it works.
That does help, but sometimes medications cause weight gain like min did, and some people have mobility issues which make it difficult to just keep moving. The key is moving as much as you can within your limits.
She did what works for her.
That's a pretty simplistic "fix" for a very complicated problem. It's like telling a drug addict to "just say no". Of course people need to move - to build and maintain muscle mass, to get your metabolism revved up and for cardio-pulmonary health, but that, alone, will NOT fix obesity, particularly if you have been overweight since childhood. It requires a complete re-think about what you've been told about what to eat. An understanding of what it means to be insulin resistant and how to eat to change that. And a lot of work to "change the tape" in your head, and the negative self-talk or memories of trauma, that makes you want to self-medicate with unhealthy foods. Like I said...it's complicated and requires a multi-disciplined approach to undo it.
So inspiring! Congratulations and thank you!
What an amazing story! I appreciate her so much for sharing her super successful story!
Congrats, Megan! All that hard work has paid off!!

What an amazing story. You are an inspiration 💛 Love the husbands message as well!
So inspiring! Great job 👏🏼
As a body composition coach, overall she crushed it and is crushing it. However, since so many will see this video, there are a couple of things of note:
You don't have to be afraid of carbs. To lose fat, you need to be in a calorie deficit. Calories in vs calories out. Don't be a carbophobe.
Love that she is going on walks. Walking is the best form of cardio, especially if you want to maintain muscle and resistance training just like she is doing! Also like the approach that she focused on her nutrition only in the first 6 months. You can lose so much weight just by focusing on nutrition.
Hiring a coach is definitely key. For accountability purposes but also to make sure you are working out properly.
Good video overall. Mindset is right. I'd follow her advice.
What an extremely supportive husband!! Well done Megan!
Amazing, Megan! You should be so proud of not just the weight loss but the inspiration you are to your family and so many others!
AMAZING INSPIRATIONAL!!!! Congrats to u!!!!!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Wow, over 200lbs loss in 15months. So amazing. Great support system as well. Congrats to you and your family! ♥️ Quick question: How come there was so much excess skin? Doesn't eating healthy and regular exercise alone increase production of collagen, which prevents excess skin?
You cannot prevent what was already there, she already had that excess sick to hold the fat but drastically burning off the fat cannot get rid of your excess skin. I actually don’t think hers was that much. The collagen did work but it helped other parts of her body… noticed no excess skin on the face, arms or legs?
Very inspiring
What an amazingly inspiring video. You rock, Megan. Keep being an awesome example for so many folks...
