In this video, you will see a 13-year-old drummer named Evan Adamson join Metallica onstage to play ‘Seek and Destroy’ in front of 68,000 people at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands. i could never do that. i play guitar and if im being honest with myself i would say im decent i could easily play alot of metallica riffs and songs but i would fuck up by overthinking it.

I remember when I was 16 I dreamt Lars got hurt before a show and they asked if anyone in the crowd could play. I raised my hands and jammed with them. Damn good dream
It actually happened with Keith Moon. He had gotten so high that he collapsed in the middle of a show. So Roger asked for someone from the audience to replace him, and one guy made his drummer friend take the drumsticks, and he did it decently.
Lars started having Dave flashbacks so got rid of that kid pronto 😂😭
Only difference is that Lars hits a little harder...

Dude it's a kid. He's not better than lars, he sped up the song on entry. I'm sure he'll be great one day, but let's not be moronic here. And for the other guy... how hard you hit a drum affects the tone. It wouldn't be the same if the sound guy pushed up the gain more in soundcheck. The drum shells resonate completely differently when hit harder. Drums sound better when theyre not hit too lightly.
@@mrcherrytits bro, sound check is like mixing an album to boost volumes to their best levels and withouy red lining. Ive played live before. My drummer would purposelly hit his kick drums quiet in sound check because they would always turn them down too far in the mic if he played with his actual force. Dont act like you know something

There are probably 13-year olds out there who are better than the whole band at their respective instruments.
The thing about Metallica is that it never was about the instruments. It was about the music they created. Music that will be remembered for hundreds of years to come.
Anyone can learn to play the guitar with a lot of training. Very, very few can put together a band that consistently writes music to the point where they become legends in the genre.
though after cliff burton died, the quality of their music took a huge hit.

The first 4 albums are the only ones worth remembering. The rest of their catalog is complete trash. They should've retired in '89.

That kid is so awesome! How perfect that the band gave him that opportunity. There’s only a handful of people in the world who can say they played alongside Metallica. And to think, when I was his age, there was no such way to get a recording of a concert. They weren’t recorded often at all in fact. So it would have been an experience he could do nothing more than claim til the day he died, 9 out of 10 people assuming he’s full of it too since that just doesn’t happen…
People have to stop hating on Lars, the guy can drum and has paved the way for many metal drummer.
Its amazing how close rich fans can get to the band.

I remember the early days of Metallica, and being able to watch them up close like this. Some parent much of paid millions for a birthday parts to get Metallica to play that private gig.
