Was never a big Nirvana fan and wasn’t into the Fighters for a long time but I tell ya, Dave is such a genuine dude that he has turned me. He is the ultimate rockstar in my eyes now.

I was taking guitar lessons from a UNT grad and had just arrived for my lesson and lamented that if I heard any of those songs from SLTS one more time I was going to scream. He agreed and said the only reason they're good is the drummer. I said what? He said, "listen for the drummer"... "he PROPELS that band through the changes and is one of the best drummers I've ever heard". He was right. I listened, agreed, and have been paying attention to DG long before Nirvana ended. When the FF material started coming out though I was shocked to learn of his guitar playing and vocals. What can't he do? And I mean what can't he do DAMNED WELL? Not much.
Never liked Foo Fighters much, never liked Nirvana much, but it's pretty damn impossible to dislike Dave as a human.

I was just gonna type words along this line. Now, I find myself wishing Foo Fighters were gonna be playing in Memphis tonight. Id sure like to be a part of it all. Im always so late on everything. I just had the Led Zeppelin experience about 8 months ago (smoked some good weed and cranked it up). I still got the headphone experience to look forward to. Im 54 years old. All these experiences are long overdue.

try between $6000-$9000 you can get the crappy signatures under a grand but not a personal instrument, kid did pretty fuck'n well to end up with that, and being Dave's guitar add another $10,000
That money is pocket change for Grohl.
Guitar players take their guitars value as higher than the amount of Benjies needed to buy it. A DG signature model means it was made for him, to his spec's, and he don't give those just anyone. Moreover, it's "what's the value of that guitar to the kid?" Priceless.
Lol $2k guitar. If you can find one they are well over $5k, but a Dave Grohl personally owned and played live DG335 would easily fetch $50k.

@@v4v819 I’ve been playing guitar for 30 years and owned several guitars. For a high quality USA made guitar, $3000 is actually modest. A custom shop Gibson or Fender can run you anywhere from $5000-$15000

@@v4v819 Yes and no. The spectrum for a basic cheap off shore electric is from $200 to a mid level decent quality around $600-$1200 either made offshore or in Mexico. Then you start getting into the USA made mass produced guitars that from about $1500-3000. When you start getting into custom shop or very high end or low production run guitars like Dave's signature model that he was playing, if it's limited run, or custom shop made, then you start to get into those prices I mentioned. And don't get me started on the vintage market! Desirable guitars from the 70's in decent shape can still cost a pretty penny, ($1000-3000) but when you start getting into the 60's and the 50's, due to scarcity of quality ones, or the now rarity of the quality of wood they are made from, we're into the tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars such as and early 60's pre-CBS ownership Fender guitar going from anywhere from $20,000-$80,000 depending on condition, demand and model to the holy grail of 58-60 Les Paul Standards, of which there are known to a TOTAL of approximately 1500 ever made during those years that range from $150,000-$300,000 dependent on condition. Hell, the parts alone from those guitars if salvaged from an un-salvagable version of those Les Pauls are worth more than a lot of new guitars today!!
