Buonasera! I will write up this recipe and put it on my site kylieflavell.com tomorrow (Saturday) along with the caponata and gazpacho recipes. Thank you for your patience! The music in this episode is Tchaikovsky (Overture and Chinese Dance from the Nutcracker Suite) and a 1955 live version of ‘If I Didn’t Care’ by The Ink Spots. Have a lovely weekend. 😘🍎
Kylie, I wore lipstick today, the first time in 6 months and also got my nails done in red because of you. Your femininity is so inspiring to me. Thank you for bringing us YOU! You really remind us of finding beauty in the simple things. I know it’s not as easy as it looks, but please know that we love you and your content. The fact that you put on perfume for us made me tear up. Thank you for thinking of us and wanting to connect with this girl from Brooklyn. You are a ray of light and the world is better because of you. Xx
Oh this is such a beautiful response. Actually, I almost never wear lipstick but the red of the apples and the roses inspired me. ☺️💋🍎 Thank you for being such a lovely example of women supporting other women.
I was thinking somewhere along the lines of a hair-do.. that was stylish but sheek... so its not that easy to for prepping food... as you know.. but just adding to a jollity..
I love your videos. My Italian is rusty. It is my favorite language I have 3 years of classes, 4months with a tutor, 2 months with an Italian speaking only class, 1 month living in Tuscany living in an apartment and I listen to videos and music in Italian. I learn new words from you and anyone I can. I’m am a fine artist who paints people in realism and with compassion and Italian mediums. My preference is Italian anything. Thank you for your videos of Italian anything. Would LOVE to be fluent but it’s going to take time since I live in the U.S.
Tuscany is known for its landscapes, history, artistic legacy, and its influence on high culture. The autumn season makes Tuscany spectacular. Love its natural beauty.
Kylie, your videos feel like Disney movies every time, i love the classical music and your appreciation for it. The aura of these videos just feel so classy and magical, your film making skills really are gifted!
Salve Kylie. The newspaper can be dated to early 1960s because at 14:53 there is a picture of several automobiles. The car in the upper left corner is a Chevrolet Corvair. This model was made between 1960-1964. I love your videos and share your love of Italy especially in the autumn. I have been slightly sad because in 2020 US citizens cannot go there because of Covid. Keep making videos, they make me happy.
Hi Kylie... It totally makes sense when you say that you “put on perfume for us”. The scent of the perfume, and the experience of applying it, creates a response in YOU; in turn, you then are living in the manner through which the perfumes makes you FEEL, and you express this to us through the videos. I loved it when you said this. It made me (and I’m sure all of us) feel very special! 💝
Hi, I just landed your page and cannot stop watching your videos. What an amazing way you capture life, food, and Italy. I'm obsessed with your ability to speak 2 languages like myself. Your videos have helped me immensely with my anxiety. Seeing life in such a beautiful way thru your eyes and laughter. I walked out of my home today to a dreary, grey, very rainy day. Normally my days are hot, sunny, humid; as it should be in Florida. Today I saw only the beauty in my day. That's the testiment to your videos. Thank you Kylie.
I would absolutely love a cookbook from you!❤ Full of delicious recipes from Italy, France, pretty much from everywhere 🤤 and the beautiful pictures of yours. Greetings from Austria neighbours 🤗🇦🇹🇮🇹
Always lovely to see Tuscany. I bought a home in Castel novo di val di cicina last summer but alas, due to Corona we have not been able to get to Italy since last Dec. Your videos always remind me of how much I miss Tuscany and anxiously wait to get back. I hope my little house is safe, as it sits empty awaiting our return.
Your work inspires me. Soy Bernarda amo Italia y su cultura. Amo el paisaje en tus videos. Amo cocinar y la jardinería también. Conozco ciertas ciudades de Italia y definitivamente regresaré a conocer otras regiones encantadoras de Italia. Felicitaciones and be you always!
You’re such a joy to watch.. I share your appreciation for grace and elegance of the past. The newspaper looks like from the early to mid 1960{s. Yes to bathroom renovation and both harvests!
Kylie - another wonderful video. My wife and I now watch every Friday evening. We are in the US in CT. Thank you for sharing so much beauty and joy across Italy! You take us on a journey each week!! Thank you all the best!
Kylie I was in Tuscany last September and October and the views in your videos bring me back. I love San Gimignano, Chianti, Pienza, Cortona, and many more. i miss the dinners at poggio alloro, podere spedalone, sant agnese, and lamole. lAnd since this pandemic has brought travel to a halt I am glad to get at least a piece of my favorite places to travel through your videos. Its the best food in the world in my opinion.
Kylie Will love to see a bathroom renovation. Love to see your taste. I am sure it will turn out Like your Kitchen. Just gorgeous. I never get tired watching you. And buy away ,your cute Italian boy friend is handsome.A very good match. From a 76years old lady from Toronto Ontario Canada 💞💞 Keep smiling
Sneakily stealing apples with your beloved, (🤣) baking in your rustic cucina while the cozy fireplace warms your home, You’re living the dream♥️ all my love and well wishes to you Kylie! Xx
Bellissimo video! Sei bravissima rendi l'Italia ancora più bella di quello che già è. Amo le atmosfere che ricrei nei tuoi video, così caldi, accoglienti e soprattutto raffinati. Continua così!!
Love the Ink Spots! I was born in 1947 and grew up listening to them. My mom played all wonderful music for us growing up! The French tart look’s wonderful!❤👍👏👏👏👏👏
Looks like 1959-60 to me! You have such an eye for beautiful cinematography and all your stories are an absolute treat to view! I’ve only discovered you a couple of months ago and love watching your love blossom and grow! Your baby boy is truly blessed to have you and Guido as parents! Love love love Tuscany! Hope to get back very very soon!
I think many would benefit from your italian language videos as they are different from what others I have come across and you give colloquial language which is so helpful. I enjoy your interviews with locals and adventures with cinematic references. Guido has definitely brought out something even more special in you which is wonderful to watch.
So cute, I love it when yiou wear perfume, curl your hair, wear mascara and pretty lipstick, you seem to speak happier when you are dolled up.....I am a 70 yr old and know all of the feelings that you feel in the fall, yes, I love the cooking with apples, figs, long kept peaches from summer and cinnamon sugar cookies come next for Halloween. This is an older episode from when Guido was a boyfriend, no John Carlo, when you had not worked so darned hard! I am still working hard, no hubby now, but I still love to bake and provide for my dear family and friends! Life is so good, keep" dolling up" you're looking marvelous dahling!
The sound of the rain was brilliant! I can smell the cinnamon and the vanilla. Your passion is palpable. We haven’t had rain in Las Vegas since April and I haven’t been in Tuscany since 2006. I am learning Italian and I was surprised that I knew a little more than I thought I did. I can thank my dad for that, but I sure wish he was here to help. He was fluent in Italian and Sicilian, but I didn’t have access to the inexpensive apps that are now available when he was alive. THANK YOU for keeping my heritage alive. I look forward to listening to your beautiful voice in both English (with a lovely accent) and Italian. Take care and I will see you next Friday! ✌🏻💜
Yes! In Vegas and that’s exactly what I was thinking when I watched it. It’s 90 degrees here in mid October. I yearn for autumn weather and to cook pastries in the cool!
Based on the cars, the fashion and the shot of a 50+ y.o. Anna Magnani, I'd say it around 1961-63 or so. I'm actually old enough to remember. I'm sure it's been said before. But, clearly, you're an old soul and sometimes out of step with our less refined times. Every week you project the elegance of the past you so admire, without losing also a grounded earthiness that comes through in the authenticity of your work. I'm sure everyone appreciated the comment about the perfume. Not only is it further proof of your attention to detail, but it references the aforementioned elegance that you embody.
Even a year on I still enjoy watching this episode when I'm feeling down which is most days nowadays but I feel so comforted when I'm in this episode with you and the rain.... Miss seeing you cook and bake in this kitchen 😍 xxx
Omg that kitchen and those hills 😍 He is adorable and has sweet eyes. Uplifting music and great shots/angles. Your home has such a warm essence 🌻✨ thank you for sharing it all with us!
Oh how delicious!!! I love your sweet videos! I dream of travel and visiting romantic countries, towns, cities, now matter how large or small. 🧡 🍎 You’re truly living a dream for so many people. We love and appreciate you.
I realize why I watch you sometimes, because you show beauty in all things. Cooking, etc and your and old soul that's what I connect with, I live in a another world than you it seems, the beauty the old music the paper you found with cooking brings me peace when I watch thanks
Your talent is unique! You are amazing! I love watching your videos! I’m from Greece and I live with my family in US, actually my husband’s island is close to Italy! We both love Italy!!! I’m sending you a big hug from New York City! You are such an inspiration!!! Excellent videos!!! Congratulations!!!
Kylie, the newspaper pages look like they are from the mid to late 1960's.. Maria Callas was very famous in the 1960's because she was Aristotle Onassis' lover and so he made her even more famous. You can probably google her history, but I remember her from when I was a little girl in New Jersey when I was about 12 in 1967. Also, the clothes and hats that the people are wearing look like circa 1965-1967 especially the suits that the men are wearing. Hope this helps. BTW, you are so beautiful and lovely and lucky most of all, because my dream is to live and retire in Tuscany. So I am very envious, but delight in all your stories and videos. You are truly a treasure, my dear. Much love to you. Charleen (Oh, BTW, I use my grandmother's name Louise Dole as my sign on.
I am moving to Firenze as soon as travel restrictions are lifted! I love cooking and baking and I can't wait to be able to cook in Italy. I used to live in Rome and my food always tasted better there.
Hi Kylie! Actually you did pasta frolla wich is the base for crostata! Your recipe seems delicious and so different from any apple pie that I have ever tried! Usually I do the base with pasta frolla, fill it with a slightly lemon scented crema pasticcera and on top I cover it with slices of raw apples (previously marinated in a bit of lemon juice - amaretto di Saronno and sugar), pine nuts (pinoli) and sultanas (uva passa), all in the oven. This is the recipe we do in my family and it reminds me of my grandfather, who used to prepare it like this! Maybe my version is more summery, but yours is perfect for this time of the year! I just discovered your channel thanks to the UA-cam algorithm and I immediately fell in love with your vision, your aesthetic and your personality! Have a very happy day! Felice giornata 💐
Kylie lovely your videos make me so happy. The way you look at life and the little things that make you happy mean so much to me. I watch them with my 14 month old and I can tell your energy and soul makes even her happy! Keep going 💕
Another scumcilicious video! You have this wonderful ability to captivate and inspire across generations, whilst transcending eras and recapturing the past. A true gift and one I thank you for sharing with us. Your choice of music brings me such joy! For just a precious while we are moved from this, often difficult and stressful life, to one of calm and serenity. Whenever I watch one of your videos I feel a sense of hope and new beginnings. Thank you sweet lady :) xo
Wonderful film Kylie and I loved the recipe. The caponata was a HUGE success - equally with my meat eating as well as vegan friends and was delicious on pasta. I love your films they are so good for the soul. You also looked especially lovely in this one - the red nails and lipstick suit you. But you're lucky you don't need make up as you're beautiful outside as well as inside xx
I feel like this era is very early 60's perhaps..my Mother ( my gorgeous mother)grew up in these eras,in Melbourne Australia.. how I miss her stories, her presence and her undeniable style and poise ♥️♥️
In a word: Luscious. 😋 In every way, Kylie. Beautiful photography and music, come sempre. 🧡 So lovely to spend time with you in autumnal Tuscany. Loved you two clandestine apple picking in wild boar territory. 😊 For the newspaper, I would say 1958-60... 🤗
Another beautiful video and a scrumptious looking recipe. I found your videos originally because I am studying Italian, and my wife and I have been watching consistently for everything else you do, We love the cooking episodes as well. Would love to see more Italian language videos, and the renovation project should be as interesting as your kitchen renovation. And please keep the cooking videos coming as well.
Hi from Denmark .. 🇩🇰 You are so inspiring Kylie .. and your cooking and the passion you put in to it ...amazing 👍.. The old newspaper so fun to look at .. I had a Ford Anglia ...🚙..the car with the funny bag window.. It was in the beginning of the 1970’ties .... thanks for your lovely canal ❤️Karin
You transported me to your kitchen and that apple tart is amazing. You have such a calming voice and love the orchard shots too. Makes me want to bake again. Autumn in Tuscany. Can't wait to see the wine making and olive oil. Stay safe. La Vita Bella. 🌹
How coincidental Kylie. This morning I am to make an apple tart with honey (as that's all I have) and here you are making a beautiful one..and enjoying perfume, music, lovely papers.. Love your videos. (we were sailors too,) Cant wait to travel again..but love Italy and your videos are so beautifully done..Sensitive.Merci!
“We should remember how small the cup of human enjoyment is, how soon overflowed with tears, therefore cherish precious impermanent things in the full knowledge that they will pass, like cherry blossoms or autumn leaves. Their values is not diminished by their transience and sadness is a fitting response to it.” Kakuzo Okakura.......and I would like to add apple tarts to the list.....
So wonderful Kylie....having so sadly left Sicily behind a week ago, I think I’ll continue living my italian dream vicariously through you ;) I hope to return soon...thank you for the beauty you share. Sometimes I can’t bear to watch it because it makes me too sad to not be in Italy, but today...I wanted some Kylie brightness in my day!
Oh how lovely! Thank you for another lovely video Kylie. I especially enjoyed the beginning where you and your lovely Italian man go apple picking. Divine view of the back of your man, and him whispering and warning you of dreadful possible impending danger. Thank goodness he is there to go before you and protect you like a true brave man! I loved it all and will try to make your yummy apple tart also. Great work Kylie and please keep your videos coming.
Watching your videos makes me feel a sense of calm & for a short time, all is ok. Love the beautiful scenery, delicious recipes & delightful conversation. Thank you so much.
I lost track of my days and forgot it's friday! What a treat seeing your video pop up in my feed. I actually just finished baking your lemon ricotta cake, about to take it to a friend's for dinner. Smells delicious, can't wait to try it :)
Bellissimo!!! Kylie, you keep on raising the bar in the quality of your videos! They make me so appreciate something as simple as an apple, and although we don’t have ‘smell o vision’ yet, the imagery that you have shown us certainly can bring us to that point where we can actually smell the sweetness of the apples that you were cooking. I was smiling when you said you put on perfume, because you know, it’s like putting on any other make up, it does make us feel different so we do ‘behave’ differently in a good kind of way of course. My friends laugh at me because even though we need to wear masks because of the COVID-19, I still put on lipstick because I know I have lipstick on and that is what matters. I’m not sure if I’m making any sense. Thank you and I happened to buy apples this past week when I did my groceries! Thanks for also putting in the sub titles in English and Italian because this is a great way of learning a new language in a fun kind of way, watching you! Stay safe 🇨🇦!
Thank you Kylie, for such beautiful, delicious content! Watching your videos always makes me feel like I am being drawn into this beautiful, romantic art scene. I feel like I leave the video in a peaceful, dreamy haze!
The magazine is from october or november 1959, it talks about soviet satellite Luna (Lunik) III which went around the moon on that month, and other little clues like "Patron" from Roland Petit and that article about Maria Callas give it away
Your apple tart looks incredible! I totally agree that you need the butter to make it taste its best. Apple tart is one of my favourite things in the whole world. You look fantastic with the lipstick - it really suits you. Thank you for another beautiful video!!
Your take on life is classic and inspired. I adore your presentation of these simple activities. Thank you for being the person you are and yes, I can tell you smell sweet, as sweet as you come across to your audience.
Cara Kylie, mille grazie! Sono molto emotionata... guardare tutte le storie... mio cuore canta!! sono anche cosi romantica..aaah.. AMORE...Love your passionated work. Inspire me to live my LOVE for Beauty and Passion even more.. Remind me of myself..my past exoeriences with italian man and culture.. and the love stories of my life. I did your tart yesturday... so tasty...mmmh! Siii! feel also pomodori flowing in my blood ❤ i can emagine to drink un espresso with you ones, and talk about the power of source/creation💫 Cosi brava e splendida sei, Complinenti! Happy for you and Guido to. You are such sweet and sexy couple. Thank you for sharing. Bacci e grande abrazzo from Austrian Toscana, as they say to the place i live now🌹 Monika
I was with you from that first Tchaikovsky note. So of course I smelled your perfume What a beautiful way to present a recipe Thank you Kylie is was amazing Lots of love from South Africa, as a 71 year old
Autumn melts my heart. I miss the seasons so much. I now live in a tropical climate which I do love, But there no denying the magic of seasons changing. Thank you for transporting me as always! And a bathroom renovation would be amazing see! Enjoy the season you beautiful soul❤️
I saved this up for a rainy day in the UK and it was the perfect antidote. I was smiling at your comment about the perfume: it seemed so appropriate! So much to look forward to as well; you are an inspiration for all of us learning Italian. I think I may be intermediate with some gaps! Anything you film will be gratefully received!
You are truly the best, always entertaining and I learn something new by watching you. I just miss Italy more and more each time. Your boyfriend is a super match for you. NEVER stop doing what you do...........🤗🇨🇦
When my Grandparents died, I found many newspaper pages stuffed in drawers as lining. The papers were from the 1950s, how wonderful it was to read the issues of those days...and frustrating when I couldn't find THE OTHER HALF!!!! Bellissimo!
I stumbled upon your videos and I rarely make a public comment, but you are so charming...your tart was flawless and mesmerizing to watch you create such beauty. I thought it was so sweet when you talked about wearing perfume for the people who are watching...I can understand that and I can relate to wanting to be your best and give all that you can to everyone ...thank you!
Thank you once again for a glimpse of the Tuscan life and something so simple and pleasurable as making an apple tart. I wish we could all return to the slower more elegant lifestyle that was depicted in your old newspaper.
I believe The newspapers are from the late '50s or the early '60's, based on the fashion. That is my favorite era because I found women to look more put together, more elegant:). The apple tart looked delicious! I will try to make it this weekend. I enjoy all your videos, a bathroom makeover will certainly be interesting. I am interested to see what else you can find at the salvage yard:)

Early '60s for sure... and the British Ford Anglia was sold from 1959 through 1968.
And the Astor cigarette ad.

Your joy is infectious. Thank you for your beautiful work! 🌺🌺

that was absolutely fabulous

Grazie mille Kylie. I told my Italian class on the Gold Coast about your tart video today!
Oh how delicious!!! I love your sweet videos! I dream of travel and visiting romantic countries, towns, cities, now matter how large or small. 🧡 🍎 You’re truly living a dream for so many people. We love and appreciate you.
What a beautiful life you live! I love your cinematography!
Maybe we can not smell but we can feel the happiness you feel with the fragrance you smell on you, with the
tarte you make!
I realize why I watch you sometimes, because you show beauty in all things. Cooking, etc and your and old soul that's what I connect with, I live in a another world than you it seems, the beauty the old music the paper you found with cooking brings me peace when I watch thanks
🥰🥰🥰
Your talent is unique! You are amazing! I love watching your videos! I’m from Greece and I live with my family in US, actually my husband’s island is close to Italy! We both love Italy!!! I’m sending you a big hug from New York City! You are such an inspiration!!! Excellent videos!!! Congratulations!!!
Beautiful! You are such a joy and a gift! Thank you!
Looks beyond amazing. Love your sweet special spirit.
I am moving to Firenze as soon as travel restrictions are lifted! I love cooking and baking and I can't wait to be able to cook in Italy. I used to live in Rome and my food always tasted better there.
Apple pie! deserves a thumbs up for sure
How beautiful! I couldn’t smell your perfume because the smell of your kitchen and the tart were so deliciously strong. 😋 😋 😋
😂😂😂
Another scumcilicious video! You have this wonderful ability to captivate and inspire across generations, whilst transcending eras and recapturing the past. A true gift and one I thank you for sharing with us. Your choice of music brings me such joy! For just a precious while we are moved from this, often difficult and stressful life, to one of calm and serenity. Whenever I watch one of your videos I feel a sense of hope and new beginnings. Thank you sweet lady :) xo
So true!
Quanta bellezza! Ogni tuo video è poesia, ciò che trasmetti, in autunno come in ogni altra stagione, mi incanta ed ispira! Grazie! Thanks Kylie! ✨💜
You guys are so beautiful together! I wish you all the best for the future. Of course the tart looks amazing! ♥️
And please keep the cooking videos coming as well.
i am really enjoying the music. Thank you.
The lipstick is such a different look, love it!!!!
I love it, it's gorgeous!))

You are so inspiring Kylie .. and your cooking and the passion you put in to it ...amazing 👍..
The old newspaper so fun to look at .. I had a Ford Anglia ...🚙..the car with the funny bag window..
It was in the beginning of the 1970’ties ....
thanks for your lovely canal
❤️Karin
How you timed that drop of sauce with the music at the end is beyond magnificent. Bravo!
😉 glad you noticed
You transported me to your kitchen and that apple tart is amazing. You have such a calming voice and love the orchard shots too. Makes me want to bake again. Autumn in Tuscany. Can't wait to see the wine making and olive oil. Stay safe.
La Vita Bella. 🌹
This was pure art
This is so aesthetically pleasing, satisfying, creative and wholesome, I could watch your videos all day long!♥
How coincidental Kylie.
Beautiful sentiment, thank you Sir for this quote
I love this. Thank you Tom.
This is one of my new favorite channels. Your videos are so peaceful and just a delight to watch.
These Cooking videos are so wonderful - it is enjoyable to “ have a chat “ and create something delicious and beautiful 🌹
I lost track of my days and forgot it's friday! What a treat seeing your video pop up in my feed.
I actually just finished baking your lemon ricotta cake, about to take it to a friend's for dinner. Smells delicious, can't wait to try it :)
Your work is beautiful, inspiring and peaceful! Thanks for everything!
Love love love your channel. Please never stop making your delightful videos.
You're always so lovely Kylie! For a split second I swear I smelled the apples cooking and your perfume! lol
Thank you Kylie, for such beautiful, delicious content! Watching your videos always makes me feel like I am being drawn into this beautiful, romantic art scene. I feel like I leave the video in a peaceful, dreamy haze!
🥰🥰🥰🥰
The magazine is from october or november 1959, it talks about soviet satellite Luna (Lunik) III which went around the moon on that month, and other little clues like "Patron" from Roland Petit and that article about Maria Callas give it away
Ah yes also the car expo in Paris, October 1959, definitely
Your apple tart looks incredible! I totally agree that you need the butter to make it taste its best. Apple tart is one of my favourite things in the whole world. You look fantastic with the lipstick - it really suits you. Thank you for another beautiful video!!
Your take on life is classic and inspired. I adore your presentation of these simple activities. Thank you for being the person you are and yes, I can tell you smell sweet, as sweet as you come across to your audience.

Thank you so much for being you and for all the work you do to send your loving messages to all of us
You are truly the best, always entertaining and I learn something new by watching you. I just miss Italy more and more each time. Your boyfriend is a super match for you. NEVER stop doing what you do...........🤗🇨🇦
You're a true artist
Kylie this was gorgeous. The mood you create is exquisite. You lift my spirits. I am so grateful. Thank you.
