I think the snorkel off of the front bumper is a great idea. I don't think people realize just how fast this car will be with the upgraded suspension on road courses and twisty roads. Looking forward to more content with the ST!
Awesome video. can u tell me if after some miles ur frond end stays a bit higher than the back? or it sits same front and rear? and how much u lower it? its bumbing? or its smooth?
Great video. You are not giving me hope upgrading my front struts. 😂 I am also battling rust on this car and I take really good care of it too. I spray a ton of rust prevention oil under the car and power wash under after each snowstorm. I live in the Northeast by the ocean so I'm always fighting an uphill battle. The sway bar hex-bolt design is terrible on this car where my first removal I stripped the hex of course. The rear bumper on this car rusts really bad btw.
Good video, I had the same issue with the strut sitting about a 1/4 high in the spindle, ran the bolt through the back side of the spindle against a piece of scrap metal and it dropped in flush. Yours may have settled after being on a year already but just something to look for.
@@SeanMcGuigan 1. Did you swap over that blue plastic dust cap (the blue cap under the black dust cover )from the oem struts to the B8s 2. did you use the provided yellow bumpstops from Eibach on the front & rear?
Dude nice job. Thanks so much for the tips. Kind of concerned now about my rust and doing this myself (2013, parked outside for the first half of her life, 94k miles).
Good to see you back. Still miss your red Boss. And still waiting for my clutch... Hopefully coming on Saturday! And after that 7500RPM here we come!!! :)
Might to swap to my bilstein rear shocks, currently have BC’s but the rear shocks kinda suck, luckily I have the bilstein rear shocks brand new in box yet from my last car that uses the same bilstein coilovers that the Focus uses.
Great video Sean. Did you mention the springs to go along w the struts? I also have a focus st currently w mountune lowering springs (1” drop) the bilstein b8’s would be a good setup to go along with them right?
That sounds just like the Mountune club sport kit. I used the Eibach pro kit. Very tempted to try the Swift R springs..... Eibachs have been great though.
@@SeanMcGuigan so the eibach pro kit fit the bilstein b8’s for 2015+ models? I noticed the eibach kit comes with just 1 set of sleeves, did you reuse the oem ones for the side without new ones
@@darrencalderon I have a rs mk2 and I just put the shocks on with no bump stops at the front as they have built in bump stops in side the shock mate. I used my stock ones on the rears

Thank you! I can’t wait to see how it does on track.
The snorkel is a game changer. Watch your access port number. They don’t lies

Also had that issue and knew that couldn’t be correct. Your comment saved me!

Glad you liked it!

What kind of lift system do you got going on for your ST is that a universal lift that would be nice to have in my garage!
Hey buddy did you reuse the blue plastic covers off the old shocks?
Did you use the oem shock mounts in the rear? and if not which ones did you buy because I can’t find any.🙏🏾
Do Billistien b6 shocks/struts raise your ride hight?
nope
Yea focuses rust easy I had few of them past 20 years. Cheap material probably

Sean McGuigan - yes the mountune sport springs. But i still have stock struts. So asking if the b8’s would be a good purchase and set up

I see Boss engine and trans is out, did you get rid of the body? Waiting to see update on Mustang.
I still have the Body for now. I will show how I move it around in an upcoming video I just filmed.
So curious what kind of paint did you use for the calipers?
VHT Caliper paint and Clear. Also used the VHT Caliper cleaner and prep spray
Can you past bilstein shocks code? Thx
Do the B8 shocks have internal bump stops like the struts ? I’m installing them right now and can’t find anything online
Have same question... did u get an answer since last year? Tx
@@ziaddaghfal5379 they do fire them on
when Installing bilstein b8s you don't use the original bump stops as there built in 👍
Hello, front shocks b8 part number?? Can u share it?
Did you unscrew the rear stabilizer bar to install the springs?
Nope just the shock and I was able to get the spring out.
Nice vid, did you mention they are koni yellows?
Thank you! Nope they are Bilstein B8s
