- With Shohei signing with the Dodgers, the Trout-Ohtani Era is officially over. Two generational talents, left trophy-less, without even a trip to the postseason. What went wrong, who’s to blame, and how can the Angels exit the fiery pits of baseball hell?

First person to crack all four codes wins a mystery artifact!
Special thanks to Nate Kurant (writing) for his contributions to this journey.

I get that the angels fanbase is upset with Ohtani's move, especially going to the Dodgers and the whole deferment shit show, but can you really blame Ohtani for wanting to get to the playoffs? He wasted 3 MVP caliber years on a deeply incompetent team that already wasted Trout's best years.
Who's upset? Only jays fans from what I've seen but they're always crying over one thing or another so who cares.
Most if not all angels fans wanted to see Ohtani go somewhere better. As with trout.
Hey man, this was a phenomenal video. The topic choice was on point and you did a great job breaking down why exactly the halos failed as an organization. Its one of the more interesting topics in modern baseball, and really highlights why one or two players cannot make a team great.
If theres one piece of advice I have to give its upgrading the audio quality, everything else is on point from scripting to editing, but improving audio could take it to the next level. What I'd suggest is investing in a condenser mic like the hyperX quadcast and using some simple filters in audacity, or whatever recording program you use, like noise reduction and compression. Unless you're going for an old timey radio sound, in which case disregard that, but I really think your content would benefit from that. Will be watching in the future, keep up the content man. Very good stuff.
I had no idea that the Trout-Ohtani Era never finished above .500. What a waste of talent for all those years. How the heck did the Angels management manage to screw the Trout-Ohtani Era up so bad?
I think it's just a mix of terrible/unlucky signings, overall organizational weakness (coaches, staff, etc), and playing in a very strong division. Doesn't give them any excuse though. They should have traded Ohtani last year, instead he's gone (with my Dodgers thankfully), and their farm system is gutted due to the crazy decision to add at the deadline.
It's going to be a long time until we see the Angels do anything of relevance. Astros and Rangers aren't going anywhere, and the Mariners seem to be improving (though a lot of their decisions recently have been questionable).
@@SonicCollectionsPS2Noisesz I could be totally wrong, but wasn't there reports a few years ago about how terrible it is to come up through the Angels organization? I remember hearing that the minor league players are put in terrible conditions, and they aren't provided any solid resources.
I could be wrong, but I just remember hearing that.
@@DiscoKing02 Unfortunately it is very true. Owner Arte Moreno has invested almost nothing into the Angels minor league system. The minor league system is the foundation of every MLB team. Nothing is going to get better for the Angels' franchise until they get new ownership.
Life as an Angels fan has been nothing but pain😢
love the video! W production
Thank you!
Don't worry Sho Dodgers will treat you right 💙
Should have traded ohtani at the trade deadline instead of trying to go for something that was too far gone, could have rebuilt the team
Feeling for angels fans but I mean he’s just down the road now.
Your mic sounds very far away
the angels legitimately wasted trouts career and ruined any chances of him ever being in the post season. trout should have gone to the dodgers if he likes so cal so much. anaheim aint los angeles nor even la county. its literally in orange county
Can you do the nolan era in Colorado i kinda want to know what exactly happened
Not a bad idea!
Anaheim angels******
Arte Moreno is the worst owner in all of sports. #SellTheTeamArte
A's?
@@samboni702 Nope it’s Arte Moreno.
He bribed a city mayor and ran a drug ring that murdered Tyler Skaggs.
These are crimes that land people in prison.
@@LaurenCaliforniaPokemonGirl623 Arte Moreno is definitely the worst owner is baseball, and he's getting worse with age. He's turning into a disconnected, stubborn old man. He reminds me a lot of Al Davis the last few years when he owned the Oakland Raiders. The success or failure of any professional sport team begins and ends with ownership.
@@KingsFanForever Exactly. At what point will he finally be forced to sell the Angels?
@@LaurenCaliforniaPokemonGirl623 Not soon enough imo. But unless Moreno does something egregious that forces MLB to take over temporary ownership of the team, I'm afraid us Angels fans are stuck with him. The player I feel the worst for is Mike Trout. He's going to be 33 this August, and the Angels have absolutely wasted his prime years by not building a winning team around him. He deserves better than that. He deserves to play in at least one World Series before his career is over. Unfortunately that will probably only happen if he waives his no trade clause and is traded to a winning organization :(
エンゼルスはお笑い球団😂日本の9割はエンゼルスが嫌いだ🫢これからの10年間が楽しみだ😊
Honestly, imagine your favorite team paying 700 million dollars for a pitcher that can't pitch til 2025 and has had 2 Tommy John surgeries.
More than palatable knowing the dodgers are gonna earn that back quickly, and only need to pay him 2 million a season with only a 46m hit to the cbt lol
Imagine your favorite team being the angels...😂😅😊❤
He only gets 2 mil per year i think thats good deal
