- OK so I am now compelled to come clean about what I have been facing for the last few months as now my symptoms have become apparent and I can no longer hide them in my videos.
This is my current medical story and situation...

Everyone has their own package to carry Mike. We're getting older. Don't throw the shotgun too early, you are not alone ... ☝️👉 ... ❤
We have a lot in common. Ten years ago, I suffered repetitive injury to my neck & back from operating a handheld die grinder for six months before I could get off that job. It was brutal and caused a lot of pain at work and at home. I've been in constant pain since.
Although I was able to perform in a live band for a while, in recent years it has been increasingly difficult to play guitar for even a few minutes before my fingers and sometimes hands will fall asleep. I've been through the battery of tests you have and nerve conduction tests are brutal to some nerves while I barely notice others. This has made just about everything I do with my hands a task. Depression has become a constant companion.
I am sharing this with you to let you know that you aren't alone. I am including you in my prayers, Mike. We have a lot in common and if I can brighten your days at all, please let me know.

Sorry I couldn't take part much in the chat... work work interfered... but I have your back buddy! Next year I'm dedicated to coming out and helping with the British Boutique Guitar Show! I have Radiculopathy... hopefully that's what it is and not ALS. My C5 through C7 compressed from mainly a motorcycle accident at age 14 plus years of skateboarding, bmx biking, surfing, snowboarding and other crazy things growing up as a normal kid... and into adulthood! Honestly lucky to be alive and thankful I only a couple false front teeth, and manageable tingling and numbness in my right hand! Forced me off the piano and keyboards for the must part, but now I'm in love with playing the guitar, bass and drums too! Just don't ask me to sing and do any frontman DLR style split jumps or stage dives! I'll be praying for go brother! Hope to see you on Sunday and let's do that show together if you have a chance sometime soon buddy! Love you man! ❤️😎🤘🎸

Mike, you’re one of the finest men I have had the pleasure of meeting in this UA-cam community. I have recently begun praying again like I did when I was a child. You have been and will continue to be included in those prayers. And if there’s ever anything on a more tangible level I can do, please let me know. I remain convinced that life is a really good joke wrapped in a sheer veil of tragedy. Nothing is as it seems.

My thoughts and prayers are with Mike's family as he recently passed away. I'm somewhat saddened that he's passed on, but grateful to learn that he is in a much better place now. You seem like a top bloke, Mike. All the best mate. My wife is going through a similar degenerative wait and see challenge at the moment and I totally agree about PMA. My sister said to me years ago, “worry is just interest paid on something that may not happen.”. We always focus on the next step in the process and then get on with our lives as best we can. Many in my family have had major life threatening health issues over the years. I won’t bore you with details but one year we had 5 immediate family with varying life threatening conditions and we thought we would loose at least 2 or 3 of them. All recovered to a level where they could function with pretty good life expectancy under the circumstances. So, the expression “where there’s life, there is hope” always rings in my ears. Good luck, bud.
