Correction it’s rate or roast. Not just roast so don’t play on words just to suit your point. And the overwhelming majority of the rigs get rated not roasted and is widely positive so stop it kid. We all watch the same content.

Dude playing Midnight special, Rhett, not all of us can bring a guitar in standard, a back up, and a guitar tuned to Open D, or even any Open tuning. If I'm bringing any open tuning guitar its tuned to Open E. Now, I did come across a hybrid Open G tuning that I picked up from Bryan Bassett from Foghat. Simply tune the 1st string to D and you basically have an Open G with your 5th and 6th string allowing you to access standard tuning power chords. Now, my tone...that's another story. Very nice. It takes some confidence to even send in a video, so I'd say awesome job to all these guys! Great critiques on your part as well Rhett! You definitely understand tone and what kind of tone is appropriate for what you are trying to convey. Very good points about digging in deeper with a heavier touch on that Gilmour brick in the wall part 2 solo.

I like the fact that music transcends generations. Along with the different styles, I noticed that music doesn’t stop at a certain age. I’m 55 and still gigging strong! I know I’ll never stop. I’m finally building our own sound studio (Separate building). Almost done. Wanted to do this since I was in my early 30’s but life happens with gigging, kids and the like. But my wife ( who’s a vocalist) and I will get a lot of use out of this for sure.
Tone wise, I agree with you Rhett when you say that playing is mostly in the hands of the player. One can have the same rig as their stars that they’re emulating and still sound different. No matter what. You can come close. But touch and dynamics is everything. In my humble opinion.

It's great that you not only gave a rating but some feedback on what they did well and where they could improve. Of course these things are all subjective but feedback like "doing this will make it sit better in the mix" and that sort is all super positive and effective. Great video Rhett!

Brady is absolutely trained in classical guitar. I'm trained in classical too so that's how I recognize that. Great arrangement. I'd be curious to see where he found that or if he wrote that.

Hey Matthew. Just made it up looking at a leadsheet. Yes! I was a classical guitar Suzuki method kid. Now I work in computers haha. Gig on the side etc. Toured in bands for a couple years but then sold my soul for a 401k etc.
