I mounted a blower a stick edger and a string trimmer to my side door as well as the most common hand tools I need. Saves me from having to climb in and out so much.
That’s a GREAT idea! I actually slide my trimmer and blower inside the side door so all I have to do is open the door, grab and go! Walking up and down that ramp all day long every single day will wear you out! 😓 Thanks for the tip!

If I could make a suggestion. Look into an RV automatic step for your side door. When you open the door it will deploy two steps and when the door is closed it will retract. Just a thought. I enjoyed your video.

I love the box truck setup! Yeah, you probably won't find a used one with this ramp setup. But if you find a good welder, they can fabricate a pretty sweet setup for you!

No problem! Thank you for taking the time to watch! We started with a '98 Isuzu NPR with 18ft Morgan box. It had two bifold ramps on the back, but no side door. We ran that setup for about 9 years before we saved up for this new truck. It's so much more efficient now. We just hop in and go. Don't have to worry about breakdowns or things not working properly because of the older age. If you're seriously wanting a similar setup, I encourage you to create a budget and plan for 2020! You'll have that truck in no time once you create a game plan! Hope the best for you this season. 👍

@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri I'm still a little guy running 5x8 working nights and weekends. Issue I have is with 15 inch tires and 3k pound axle, a six foot ramp. My zero turn deck hits the hinges on the ramp. A walk behind I can tip up to drive past them. Perhaps I just picked the wrong trailer. Lucky for me the zero turn is my personal mower and it only goes on trailer for trips to dealer.

Thank you! I appreciate that. Those shelves are really nice! I had wooden shelves made in the old box truck. These are much lighter, but very sturdy. Did you use any baskets or totes to go on the shelves in your garage?

I’m sticking with Echo for all my outdoor power equipment but I’m a spec guy & always want the highest CC or HP & no company has the highest power for each category of power equipment, for instance stihl has the most powerful switchable attachment head trimmer but echo has highest power blower. All in all I’m echo as I don’t want all different brands of equipment & if something goes wrong you have to go to different dealers ect.
Smart move! We switched everything over to ECHO last year! So far, so good! Our local Dealer sells ECHO and Ferris and that’s what we ran last year. I agree, it’s good when you can go to one Dealer and get everything you need! 💯. Appreciate you watching. Have a great weekend! 👍

Did you design/build the ramp gate door? Wonder if those specs or plans are available or can the door/ramp be purchased from someone separate from the box?
I did not design the ramp gate door. It is part of the Proscape Van Body from Morgan Corporation. They can build it on your box, but it's probably easier to get the box/ramp all at once. It's just the way the have to build the ramp with the box. Makes it easier if it's all done at once. Hope that helps!

I have my interior walls ,floor, line X totally pays off with fuel spills we put a hose to it every couple of weeks makes it bulletproof expensive but worth every penny

It looks like solid heavy duty black textured material ,all the way up the walls the entire floor and down the ramp then I take the thinnest piece of diamond aluminum plate 4 foot wide the length of the ramp and screw it down this way nobody will ever fall this all takes time but it’s totally doable and when you’re done everyone would say I should’ve did it that way ,because if you paint it to seal the wood it will all fly off. I’ve use the Same process in my box truck which are used for fertilizer and store a tote of water it gets a full inside wash after each round zero rot on wood metal etc.

Cameron, I would like to know does the truck have a Diesel of gas engine? What is the GVW of the 20' box truck. Did you purchase this truck Brand New or was it used? Is it a 6 speed Automatic transmission? Does Morgan offer a different side door side step to get in and out? Thank You
This is the 6.0 gas engine. The GVW is 20,500. Bought it brand new from Isuzu with the Morgan Vanscape Body. This is the 6L90 6 speed transmission. They offer different side steps, but they didn’t communicate that to me when I bought it. I don’t like the side step. Definitely not convenient getting in and out of the side door. I would like to have a small step that pulls out kinda like for a camper. I think that would be 100 times easier. Almost dangerous getting back out of the truck while trying to use that step. Im considering switching to a box truck in the middle of 2020. I would like to have the option to put 36”, 52” and 61” Ferris standers in the box. Would an 18ft box fit that if the 36” was sideways?
Hey Somerset! I think you'll like the box truck setup! You can easily fit all 3 of those mowers in an 18ft box truck. I had 2 60" zero turns and a 48" walk behind sideways in my old 18ft box truck. How steep is that ramp? I am debating between the morgan proscape box/ramp without the dovetail or the Super Lawn Truck with the dovetail and a hydraulic ramp.
I downloaded an angle finder phone app and my enclosed trailer now with a dovetail is 15 degrees and the one without the dovetail is 18 degrees.
Super Lawn Truck says to expect 18-21 degrees. I'm curious where the Morgan Proscape ramp sits.
It’s not steep for loading/unloading a mower. I will say that walking up and down the ramp ALL day long, 6 days a week gets old after a while. I’ve been doing this for 20 years so I’m always looking at doing things more efficient/easier. The pros outweigh the cons on the Morgan Proscape ramp. I personally don’t like the dovetail and hydraulic ramp. This design is much simpler and you don’t have to worry about the slope in the back of the truck.

The ramp is my favorite! Years ago the ramp alone was like $13,000. There's no telling what they are now.

Haha...it’s the off season. I actually thought about the RV flip out steps. They had something similar in 2018 at the GIE Expo. It looked like my step, but you pulled it out so you could step in/out of the box a whole lot easier. Need to check into it.

You can, but it’s really expensive.

Running the Ferris z3x mowers again this year with the Toro Titan for the wet areas. I’ll be mulching 100% of the time again this year.

Hey Jamar! This is a Morgan Proscape Box/Ramp. They built it from the factory when I bought it. At the time, they told me that I had to have the RAMP put on by Morgan Corp. I think if you go by the ramp alone, it's WAY too expensive. They quoted me around $12k just for the ramp back in 2018. Hope that helps!

Nice! It is a Proscape Box made by Morgan. They custom build them on the Isuzu chassis.

Hey Cameron nice video and sweet truck! I'm looking into a similar truck for my lawn business. I'm debating on this type of box or the dovetail box. I'm understanding that you lose room for space with the dovetail then if I just went with your style box. The main reason I was leaning towards the dovetail is due to what I see yours is doing with the mower deck scraping. Is that a deal breaker or no? I just called my local Isuzu npr dealer and he's getting some information together to go over with me tomorrow. What did something like that cost like a ballpark figure? Thanks for your help and I definitely love your setup! Also have you had any engine issues?
Hey there! Thanks for watching the video. I love the box truck. The main reason I went with this one is because of the ramp. I love the way it tucks away inside the box and you can advertise on the back. Our old box truck just had bifold ramps on the back. This one is so much easier. The decks barely touch the diamond plate cover at the peak of the ramp. It doesn’t really drag on it or anything like that. Now on my old box truck, it would drag. But we ended up putting two 2x12 boards down inside the box and it eliminated the dragging. It gives the mower just enough height to glide over. I don’t particularly like the dove tail, but that’s just preference. There’s nothing with that setup at all. These trucks run about the same price as a 3/4 ton diesel truck. So you can figure around 50+ brand new. The engine is a 6.6L V8 and I haven’t had any issues at all. But it’s still brand new lol. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions. It’s a Morgan Proscape box. They were like $14k just for box alone years ago. No telling what the price is now.

We have a isuzu NPR with a Morgan box and in not a fan of the flooring they use.
I have to agree. We have a very heavy duty rubber floor mat that came with the truck. Definitely recommend it! Our old box truck didn’t have that and this is much nicer!
@@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri I was referring to the flooring that they used in the Box itself almost looks like a tongue a groove Varnished flooring. Kind a slippery when wet. As far as a seat covers go I would look on Amazon we purchase both sets of ours from Amazon.

Is your truck a gas or diesel?
It’s the Gas engine! I was steered away from the Diesel engine by several Isuzu reps. Apparently there’s too much to go wrong and with the new emissions it can be a headache. Plus I’m only putting about 12k miles per year on the truck.

I have both gas and diesel if I’m going to haul dirt dump truck body and equipment skid steer’s I like the diesel for everything else the gas is a dream no noise , fast Great fuel mileage if you want more payload you could put the urethane helpers by the springs works great but now The truck dealer mentioned a $2500 mandatory service to the exhaust system on the diesel I’ll be all gas from now on
If you want to keep the diesel, the best thing to do is delete it probably. Diesel has so much more power it’s not even funny. Hope to get one of my own someday in the future. Thanks for watching!

Good looking setup! Do you have the SLT hydraulic ramp? Can’t tell in the pics.
Truck was buikd by conyers in ga. It is a hydrsulic gate that was modified as it cane as 2 separate gates that when i got home, could not ger my walker ghs or super b mowers into. Had to extend 32". Once extended became to heavy so we went to a custom built hydraulic system. Be on truck since 2012.
My next truck with have the hydraulic 4 yd dump between cab and box
