These trailers are so smart. Non of the grounds maintenance contractors have these in the UK as they tend to either have a open trailer which is either flat bed or a open trailer with side panels or a large van with panel, pickup or flatbed body styles. The one thing I like about these trailers you have in the USA is that they are so well laid out inside and it stops undesirable people eyeing up your equipment to steal.
Just bought my new trailer. Went with 2019 Wells Cargo enclosed trailer. 8 x 20 with the 5,000 lbs axle. I decide not to go with roof vents because with time they get beat up by sun. Eventually i started having small leaks there from my past experience. Man im so happy with my new trailer! Ready for the season.
As an 18 year old landscaper I’m aiming for $300-$500 per week but am starting to see some weeks here and there closer to $750. No where near a full time I come, but I’m in year two and consistently growing.
When I bought mine from Kelley & Sons, Sue told me that since everyone was wanting the work bench & cabinets, she decided to order all Landscape Pro trailers with them all really in it. Also, Sure-Trac must have listened to you when you pointed out in your (Sure-Trac Trailer In-depth walk around) video, on that you had to install a bumper for the side door, because they now come with a bumper for the door.
Jeremy Lane hey those upgrades both make sense! Can’t say that it was because of us but, I do know that those guys listen to their end users and enjoy that type of feedback. Classy company 💯
I went with an all aluminum trailer the payload is so much more. My payload Is 5300lbs. Having that extra weight gives me price of mind not over weighing it. Plus It will never rust out great video love to see other guys setups thanks
Nice video Brian! I love seeing inclosed setups. Just last season I went from a utility trailer to a box truck setup. I love it so much more just like you mentioned. My box truck was a used 14' Penske truck so the yellow really sticks out. I'm currently getting it wrapped and that was just under $3,000, but it'll be a nice rolling billboard for my business. I don't think I'll ever go back to an open trailer. Have a great 2022 season!
Suggestion. The space between the front of the trailer that ends and to the hitch, you can add a spare tire and a tool box and other misc stuff there. You are towing empty space that you could put some stuff there to free up space in your enclosed trailer.. Also a thought is to put a 5 gallon jug a little high on the door in the inside, so when you open it, there's a 5 gallon jug so people may drink water. Hope this helps out a little. Great video and please keep posting... :)
I just went into business this year. My first trailer is a 2020 Haulmark 6x12 enclosed. It's getting lettered next week, setup will happen afterwards, so this video comes at the right time for me.
This video is my playbook for working on my 2022 enclosed trailer - thank you again Brian for sharing with the Community. I just completed building two wood shelves located in the same location as your workbench area. Trailer is 7x16 Sure-Trac Pro-Series with 7' wide, I can not place the Kombi under the workbench. All good. Just ordered that TRAILER-AID product from Amazon - single unit on sale today.
Great Video Brian! Without a doubt, you provide the most informational and useful content on youtube for the aspiring lawn professional! The tips you provide saves people time and money which are the two most important things we have...Great advice on the axles and sockets for the tires...hopefully we all survive this virus and start cutting grass soon! Thanks for the informative video Brian. If i were getting a inclosed trailer i would want the roof vents. In addition to keeping the temperature down they also allow the gas fumes to escape so they don't hit you when you open the trailer
I gave a thumbs up for the Ramp Spring Tip alone. Where was this video 2 years ago, I almost broke my finger, and lost countless hours, for something that took 2 hours taking it to someone and getting a pro to set it. Hi Brian! This is Sam Hanson from Bismarck North Dakota! This winter I bought an enclosed trailer for my snow equipment. I bought a 7’x 14’, But I had them put in 5000 pound axles, two vents with 12 V fans in the vents, and three utility lights. Oh, and I also put in from the outside electrical plug-ins! I had to raise the height of the inside of the trailer because I’ve got a John Deere snowblower with a cab on it and so I had to make room for the cab! Was is it overkill, maybe, but it’s a sweet trailer! 👍 Sincerely, Sam Hanson 😎🇺🇸
Those Goodyear tires are the only thing I will put on my trailer now. I dislike Goodyear tires in general, but their trailers tires are pretty bullet proof.
Great video Brian, over the past 30 years I’ve owned at least a half a dozen different trailers, I’d like to point out however the skylight a number of years back I had a break-in in which they entered through the skylight and Removed quite a few of our tools
What size mower do you use? I was thinking of a 6' but I am worried once the weedeater and blower racks get installed it'll be a really tight fit with a 52" mower.
@@Draega007 yes it possibly will be but you could always put your other equipment in the truck bed... or put the racks closer to the front that way you drive your mower out first and you have room. If you have a side door hook a blower rack to it for easy accessibility.
Most people don't think about the axles until they start having to replace them. The biggest plus to the 5200# axles is bigger hubs so bigger bearings and brakes.
I bought a 6x12 enclosed trailer last year. It does the job just fine. But I do agree that a 7x14 would be better. Only issue with that is I have a lot of customers who live on narrow streets. I feel bad enough parking out front of their house. Lol
Brian's Lawn Maintenance yeah I had my trailer this will be the third season now I had nothing wrong with it but one flat tire! And the side vents really help to for summer!

I also think you need a 5 gallon water tank on the ground with a 12volt high pressure pump from an RV/boat and a 25’ coiled hose to wash the dog poop off the mower wheels. I hate the smell of dog poop in the trailer or on my mower.
Great video! Ordered a 7x16 enclosed to replace my 5x10. I’m excited to build out the inside. Something to note, going with an eight or ten ply tire is worth the money. The trailer will pull so much easier.
Great video with tons of advice. Thank you. I just gotta ask.... how do you fill up all your mowers and equipment? do you just have like 10+ 5 gallon cans laying around? I'm only on a 5x10 looking to upgrade but I like being able to pull into the pump and gas my mower up. Again thanks for the video.
We refuel every day in the evening. But yeah one tank of mower gas lasts all day for us. But, we always carry 3-5 gallons of regular fuel, usually 4 gallons of 2mix
Sorry Brian all the tp at Costco is gone. I'll be switching to an enclosed this year. I'll be keeping my open trailer for landscaping work but I wanted somthing I could keep my equipment inside in. I was considering building another garage but the county wouldn't let me because I already have a garage the same size as my house and apparently you can't build a garage or shed bigger than your house.
What's it like driving the enclosed trailer? Do you have to avoid city streets and are there customers you can't service because it's a dead end with no turn around? And what's it like driving that on the highway, changing lanes etc. It seems like you would need some great driving skills.
Speaking of the Etrack if your buying a cargo trailer or having one built have your Etrack welded to the frames. It's a huge difference on support. Hey Brian, I just upgraded my trailer from an open trailer to a enclosed trailer. I need some cabinets. Where did tou get your cabinets?. Great video!!!!
Bri., it's a great set up Fo Sho!! Now you know my set up is no where near that elaborate. If you take any 2 cents worth of advice from me it would be to get small magnet rolls or sheet magnets & a small labeling machine & label what you have in each cabinet on the inside of each door. This way you can change out the lists as your needs change inside each cabinet. Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!
Excellent video. Did you install the plywood on the walls of the trailer or did it come that way? Do you know if it's 1/2" or 3/4" ? Also, where did you purchase the spare tire rack? Thanks
@@BriansLawnMaintenance You sure? Was wondering how the racks were attached to the walls. Did you install them? 1/4" or even 1/2" is not a lot of material to hold a screw. Especially with a trailer that could be a little bouncy..
If one thing I comment is definitely have a spare tire and tire plug kit and portable air pump didn’t see you had a tire plug get definitely get one on Amazon
What do you think about used? I was driving by and saw a 4,000 enclosed trailer just a little smaller than yours . It was like new . Didn’t even have any bolts around it or anything done to it.
Generally speaking we leave it all open if we’re in front of a yard we’re doing. Anything bigger than that and we flip the ramp up and close the side door. I’m always eyeballing my stuff, smart practice even in the wealthiest of neighborhoods and subdivisions. Can’t hurt to be smart and stay safe too
@@BriansLawnMaintenance I have a utility 16' trailer and I have everything locked up because you never know when you come across someone trying to help themselves with your equipment, when out doing it yourself I have something I carry with me everywhere I go and it may not be good for that person.
When you're licensed, what does that consist of? I've been doing work for the last couple of years and am trying to get an official company established myself in the state I live.
Another point about locks are they scare the theives away if I was gonna steal the trailer I'd look at the lock and turn right around it's gonna make to much noise breaking the lock in the first place But however that is always not the case
These trailers are so smart. You get what you pay for.
I bought my own vinyl cutter off eBay 15 years ago. I think I paid $800. And I can do up to 4ft wide signs. It’s not hard to do
Hey Brian, I just upgraded my trailer from an open trailer to a enclosed trailer. I need some cabinets. Where did tou get your cabinets?. Great video!!!!
Nice man! These were a manufacturing option from the build out.
Cool video man
Great video 👍
Hey Brian, I don’t know if you’ve done it in your new trailer, have you thought about putting a vice on your workbench over in the corner?
We haven't, simply because we don't really need one to wrench on much for a mow trailer.
Money Making Mike G. That’s not a bad idea at all! 3MG always with the pro tips! 👊
@@BriansLawnMaintenance Anyway I can pay back 1% of how much you helped me!! Hoping it works out Bud.
I just ordered my trailer 8.5/20🤟
🔥
Excellent video. Did you install the plywood on the walls of the trailer or did it come that way? Do you know if it's 1/2" or 3/4" ? Also, where did you purchase the spare tire rack? Thanks
They came with it. I think they’re 1/4 or 1/2”. The tire rack was an upgrade from the manufacturer.
@@BriansLawnMaintenance You sure? Was wondering how the racks were attached to the walls. Did you install them? 1/4" or even 1/2" is not a lot of material to hold a screw. Especially with a trailer that could be a little bouncy..
New intro. Nice. I like the white background. Surprised you didn't go red 😂
Haha my brother made it in a jif! We’ll see if we keep it :)
If one thing I comment is definitely have a spare tire and tire plug kit and portable air pump didn’t see you had a tire plug get definitely get one on Amazon
Great video
Informative video. Thanks 👍
Great info
Great content (as usual)! Great tips! Thanks Brian! Nice jacket - I think I'll get one (do you have a code for Tesla stuff yet? Lol). ;-)
Matt Pahuta LoL thanks Matt. I don’t think Brians10 works with Tesla. 😝
do you have an extended trailer tongue? if not, do you think it would be better with one? Fords don't have the best turning ratio
Mine is extended yep.
What do you think about used? I was driving by and saw a 4,000 enclosed trailer just a little smaller than yours . It was like new . Didn’t even have any bolts around it or anything done to it.
Sure why not!
looks like its about time for a new leaf rake buddy. You shoulda came down to ga for your enclosed. That one would probably cost around 4k down here.
Yeah but then my local dealer goes out of business and I have to drive to GA for service. And plus, the trailer might be $200 cheaper, not $4,000.
Where’d you get your red cabinets from
For lawn Scaping is best to have 1500 or 2500 truck?
Do you have any problems with leaving your trailer unintended while out mowing or do you lock it up.
Generally speaking we leave it all open if we’re in front of a yard we’re doing. Anything bigger than that and we flip the ramp up and close the side door. I’m always eyeballing my stuff, smart practice even in the wealthiest of neighborhoods and subdivisions. Can’t hurt to be smart and stay safe too
@@BriansLawnMaintenance I have a utility 16' trailer and I have everything locked up because you never know when you come across someone trying to help themselves with your equipment, when out doing it yourself I have something I carry with me everywhere I go and it may not be good for that person.
great video
When you're licensed, what does that consist of? I've been doing work for the last couple of years and am trying to get an official company established myself in the state I live.
with our roads in michigan. trailers are beat up after 3 or 5 years.
PCGonline totally
Your my go do guy thank you
How does the trailer aid work again?
Another point about locks are they scare the theives away if I was gonna steal the trailer I'd look at the lock and turn right around it's gonna make to much noise breaking the lock in the first place
But however that is always not the case
Yep agreed
26 ft here !
