Beautiful intricate complex pattern. You have WAY more patience than me, and I do quilting ( as well as wood turning). Well done. Esp like that you showed the fix.
Tom, all I can say is when God was handing out the genius genes you were in the right place at the right time. You also got all the genes for patients! Your work is absolutely magnificent. Best regards...Richard
I saw this when you put it up on Facebook Tom and I'm glad you did a video on it as well. I could not get my head around gluing up 180 piece rings, but using the open segment method and then filling the gaps is brilliant. Thank you.
A very beautiful bowl Tom. Thanks for your help last week with my finishing issue with the bloodwood. Everything worked out perfectly. Only 200 hours? Wow, do I ever have to speed things up a lot!
Hello, I love your work, I would like to know where to buy all the tools and jigs to use, if there is a place or you give face-to-face or personal classes on how to make these magnificent vases, I would greatly appreciate your help. since I would love to learn how to do it step by step
Boa noite sr.
How many hours did it take to do the entire project? How much would a piece like that sell for? It is incredible and so beautiful. In a way, it reminds me of doing counted cross stitch pieces.
@@TomLohman Oh, I think it is worth a lot more than that. It is exquisite. Like the old saying goes: Those who can, do. Those who can't, PAY those who can!
I make the indexing system, go to the store at my site "segmentedturning.org" and you will see the indexing parts. I can make the complete gluing jig but you would need to contact me for that. My store has the parts that you need a CNC for, the rest can be purchased.
I'm glad you showed us your mistake and how you fixed it. Mistakes are a part of the process!
The tools you've made, your process, your patience... Inspiring! Thank you for making video and sharing! ❤️

It took around 200 hours to make, so $20/HR times 200 makes the price $4,000.

@@maureenbeadles2359 Never heard that saying before. I like it!
Who is the manufacturer of that indexing system.

Absolutely jaw dropping. Wow. Beautiful. Tell me, about how long did this project take you? I’m just floored by your talent.
Thanks, it took close to 200 hours.
