Excellent!!!! ❤️
You'll be happy to know my daughter (10yr old) made a PowerPoint presentation on her T and showed it to the whole class, and head teacher, it went down well and I'm very proud of her x
That is awesome! She will be making UA-cam videos on them before you know it...lol
This is the best looking spider room of all the tarantula youtubers. Some other people are like "Hey, guys, welcome to my collection of tupperware boxes and deli cups...". ;)
Hahaha...this just made me laugh out loud while at work...lol. thanks :)
What seperates the hoarders from the keepers are the enclosures imho. I`m sick of seeing tupperware with a hide and water dish only. We are supposed to recreate their natural Habitat as close as possible to make them thrive. Sure the bare minimum suffices.. but imagine you have to live in a room with a fridge and a bed only... you would survive but not as comfortable. I had a huge argument with some chick on instagram about that ..she said " hurr durr glas enclosures are so expensive" .. i said .. "well you can buy a T that costs way above 100 $, find your mistake and get your ass on craigslist or ebay to find used glas enclosures."
@@tobitaktlos3241 yaaassss!! Exactly what you said!!!
Whilst I do agree,I bet some people gravitate around spiders because of the low maintenance and low cost to keep them
I only got slings so far but will definitely be buying decent enclosure when they get bigger but for their temporary enclosure I will not bother investing money on them
I got 1 fifius gold I just moved to her forever home a little ago its one of those tiny exo terra plastic enclosure with the opening on top and ventilation around...I did provide her with a nice piece of cork bark(which she has started to slowly web onto,a fair amount of moss, little rocks, fake plants in a corner and a bottle cap water dish, she seem happy and satisfied with her little enclosure,I also left her enough room so if she wants to dig and make tunnel on the other side of the cork bark😊
Today I actually picked up one of these! The pet shop I got it from told me on the phone that they had a red rump, and since I’m trying to get a shelf full of the brachypelmas I was happy to get it…what a surprise that was when I got there and it was the golden red rump.
I was ordering a G Pulchra as my first T and came across this video and noticed my dealer had a B. Albicep sling for $35 so you know I had to grab it! Had them both for a year now and couldn’t be happier☺️
I just got my albiceps this past weekend, this video couldn’t have come at a better time. Thanks!!
You cover so many points!!youve become my staple for all of my tarantula researches😁
Yes! I was waiting for this one to be featured😁 I got my first tarantula a few months ago and it's an albiceps. She's so gorgeous!
that is awesome! glad I was able to hook you up with a video :)
I'm so happy you covered this species! I love Albi. Got them in a mystery box sent from a friend and absolutely adore them. Glad you covered the temperament. Mine is curious. Albi, who is a sling, will run when I open up their enclosure but turn around and wait to see what happens. I'll see little toes come back after a brief moment of disappearance. They always wait for the lights to dim to scavenge the prekill. Also I don't think anyone is going to agree with the pronunciation. I wouldn't worry about it to much.
Beautiful shots. Beautiful T!
Just caught this one Richard, it was super informative! I went ahead and ordered one from Fear Not Tarantulas and got it as a package...habitat and feeder prey included. They've been super great at customer service as well. I also ordered some keepers from Tarantula Cribs, those custom keepers are super nice...Thank you for renewing my interest in the hobby. I've been out of it for over 20 years. I'm so happy to see so many breeding programs now for many of the more popular species...I was always worried as a kid that too many were being taken from the wild populations. Cheers man! Have a great week!
I've watched this channel and wanted a T for so long and I've just been able to place an order for a B. Albiceps 🤟 thanks for all the great videos :)
Still one of my favorites.
Your channel has the best detail and clearest camera views, I'm suprised u don't get more views!
I’m enjoying your videos so much. I couldn’t help but subscribe to your channel. Now I’m seriously considering adding some tranculas to my collection.
Thanks for the great info! That's why I love your channel, that and the beard. Thanks brother!
What a great production.
Excellent bro
Another great informative and educational video 🤘🏼🕷🤘🏼
I've been waiting for fear not to get there's! They are such beautiful Ts. love your videos! Always excited when Tuesday comes around!
Awesome. That's where I got mine from and they're doing very well. These are such cool tarantulas.
Fr i was about to order n then was out of stock luckily jamiestarantulas had some
High quality vids bud, keep it up!
Tliltocatl
Tleal (just teal with “L”) -To pronounced as toe -catl pronounced as cattle or cottle
Tleal -toe -Cottle
Hope this helped lol
You described it perfectly
Jimothy j yeah I thought I was right I did check a few UA-cam videos to make sure I was right
This channel deserves way more subs!
Thanks a lot! I appreciate it. It takes time though for word to get out.
T’-leel-toe-cat-uhl
Thanks James!
Was I close?
Your close Richard. People are making a huge deal out of the name pronunciation. It is funky but no harder than any other Latin name. Most of those get butchered just as bad as this one will. Just my opinion tho.
I am super stoked on this revision. Part of what makes this hobby so awesome. If your your a huge zoology and taxonomy nerd like me this is what it is all about.
Keep up the great work!
@Paloma Montoya my reference to “Latin” was to scientific name. Most scientific names are based in Latin. Latin Name or scientific name is sometime interchangeable in reference to binomial nomenclature. Yes, the genus revision was not taken from Latin.
This was my first trantula, I now have an OBT and a Cobalt Blue, so I went from docile to pissed off beasts.
i'm thinking of getting a brachypelma albiceps as my first tarantula, i think they're absolutely adorable and i was super happy to learn that they are beginner-friendly, i'm probably going to get one once i move into my house and can set up a good terrarium. there's a great exotic animal con around my area and i've seen them there quite a few times, so i won't have to worry about availability either!
I just ordered an albiceps sling. Super excited for its arrival!
I've been trying to persuade my other half that I'm getting a T......she isn't keen but this is the species I'd love for my first
So did you get a T yet?
I want one so bad but I have like 14 reptiles and T’s (5 T’s the rest reptiles)
In order that I got them
A.avicularia
P.murinus
A.seemani
B.boehmei
S.calceatum
@@treasurestatetarantulas406 I did!! Not just 1 either 😂🙈
@@karastub1278 that's an awesome collection! 1 more surely won't hurt.......
I've ended up with 8 😂🙈
B. albiceps, L. parahybana, N. chromatus, P. Sazimai, D. pentalore, N. incei, K. brunnipes and H. sp. 'Columbia'
She's fascinated!
Gorgeous species I've just added this to my collection a young adult female £65 I couldn't pass it up at that price absolutely stunning T 😊 👍
I always fell in love with your voice !!!! keep it up bro
I love a golden red rump but I’m trying to keep the addiction at bay since I started with 5 😆 Alex from Tarantula Haven made a video on how to pronounce the new name too it’s worth a watch. Great video as always Richard 👍🏾
I'm getting a juvenile soon! So excited
I want one of these so bad thank you for shareing this
Keep them coming!!!
I've Just found One and immediatly ordered It !
Really enjoyed this video and do love this tarantula
Such good production!!
Thanks buddy!
Another great video as always! I believe it would be great to make a new about feeder animals and their care, and if I can suggest a tarantula - to be filmed - it would be one of the xenesthis. :)
I think this is the tarantula I wanna find for my first one. TY for making this video very educational.
This is a great species! You have a good eye. Thank YOU for watching 🙂
they look incredible
Awesome T. I have two and they are among my favorites.
That's awesome!
Thank you for the information buddy
Amazing video
Cool enclosures
So cute. I just got my golden red rump 1/2 sling from fearnot. Cant wait for it to grow up
How big is yours now?
First 30 views! Great video like usual. I'd still love to see a video on Poecilotheria Striata. I love mine and it is growing very quickly.
It is definitely on the list my friend. :)
Rehoused my sling today. She (🙏) crawled onto my hand and went right off into the new enclosure! We have a great relationship! 🤭😁😉🙃
Your albiceps... is not like my albiceps lol. I can barely get a glimpse of my sling. It has a hide that it only uses when I try to check on it, or open the enclosure. I'm not allowed to look at it, or think about it. I may be taking a risk just by discussing it, not sure yet. On the plus side, it never refuses a meal. As long as it is prekilled and I don't try to watch it eat. Love the videos.
thanks so much for makeing this!!! was so good! i have been wandering how much to feed mine as it grows and this helped clear that right up!!! great video keep up the good work man!!! :) also tarantula heaven brokedown the pronounciation in his last video which helped me learn the pronounciation of tliltocatl (assumeing he is right lol) t-liel-toe-cattle.
Yeah, I saw that ..it was very helpful...unfortunately he posted it after I had already recorded this...lol...I think I got pretty close.
@@tarantulacollective yeah was really close considering u were just guessing it at the time lol
What a beauty! 👍🥰😍❣🕷🕷🕷
I have a few- and they are big personality Ts. I have a lot of rare/display Ts, but this juvie (Lady Almalthea since you called them a unicorn) is just one of my favorites. Big personality. Beautiful. Always out.
New on this channel and yeah i subscribed, good solid info much appreciated . One thing i noticed that most other channels do and you dont do much of is the unboxing and re housings, people seem to love those. Maybe add more of those, just a suggestion.
Thanks for support Shawn! I appreciate the feedback. I've done a few unboxing videos and rehousing and have another unboxing video in the works. One of the goals when starting this channel was to prove that tarantula UA-cam channels could be more than feeding, rehousing and unboxing videos because there are a lot of channels where that is the only content they create. There is nothing wrong with that kind of content, I just wanted to try and provide something a little different that was still enjoyable to watch. But I've only been uploading regularly since February so there is still a whole lot of videos ideas I have in the works I just haven't got to put out yet, but keep watching...there will be a few rehousing and unboxing videos coming in the future.
@@tarantulacollective thats why i like your channel, you and Tom do more than just feed and unbox, and its very informative. Just what new people to the hobby need in order to get started, me included.
Quality video
Your voice sounds like a Skyrim npc.
Great video as always! Love your channel
A Skyrim NPC? I'm not sure if that is a compliment or a slam? LoL Glad you enjoy the videos!
Great looking T..... I was lucky to acquire one less than a year ago..... nite its about 1 1/2 inch.... looking rather scruffy so molt is soon! Thanks for another great video...😎🕷
Great video 🇧🇷
Great video!
Love my tiny little sling
Can't wait for it to grow into a beautiful adult XD
Rock on! That's awesome you have one.
My favorite episode would have to be the one on OBTs. One of my pictures is in it and they are one of my favorite species !😁
😍beautiful. I need one.
I got one of these as a sling as a freebie when I ordered some for my birthday. Still a small sling so can't wait for it to grow up :)
Wow! That is an awesome freebie!
Has it grown in the year you've had it?
AWESOME!!!!!
I got to meet Laura of GGC at the Denver Tattoo Convention! (my wife's arm tattoo placed 3rd. lol) and got a print of her GBB drawing!!
That's awesome! I have never met her in person. I had just ordered a print and though it was amazing and had to share it with you all!
I believe it's TLEE-TO-CAH-TIL
Awesome video man. I was lucky enough to find a smaller one and picked it up a few months back. That's the only one I've ever seen for sale.
Rock on! Glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah, I keep telling people if you see one for sale, dont pass it up.
I got one of these beauty's in my first mystery box from the spider shop uk
Would love to see a care video on cobalt blue tarantulas🙌🏻 such a beautiful species
There is definitely one coming!
I just got a ephebopus murinus, euathlus parvulus and a kochiana brunnipes. It would be amazing to see a tarantula Tuesday on these species! ❤🕷❤
All excellent suggestions! Thank you so mich... and congrats on the awesome t's!
Damn. Now it got me wanting one. Welp time to shop 👨🏽💻
I agree about this T being hard to get I just finally got mine 2 weeks ago from Micro wilderness got it at 1.5 inches was a stubborn little one and did not want to go in to It's enclosure.
I love these! Reminds me sort of like a T with a tee shirt on! 👍🕷🕷🕷
Hahaha...that is hillarious. .I love it
the_tarantula_collective they’re sooo cute! I’ll be on the search in the near future..... 😁🕷
I had a stupid rookie mistake issue drama thing going on last friday.
I had ordered some slings including the B. Albiceps and Bumba Cabocla.
I went to check on them and found my Albiceps stuck in a vent-hole :(
I spent about 3 hours to help it get through. After 2.5 hours I decided to use a bit of my spit as lube to get the tiny abdomen through. As I had put a cup with bark on the other end to let it pull itself through the hole. That combined the spit and extremely gentle push of a brush made it get through eventually. It's doing good now. Eating and looking good as tiny as it is.
I had put all the 5 remaining slings back into smaller conatiners in the meantime. Sadly number 7, being the Bumba Cabocla, escaped and I haven't been able to find it. I learned the hard way and feel pretty dumb. The holes were so tiny yet still they weren't small enough :(
Won't happen again though.
I think a lot of people make that mistake at least once. Important thing is you learn from it and dont repeat. I lost a Crypsidromus sp. Costa Rica ( Panama Black Emilia Tarantula) that way. It may possibly still be living somewhere in my basement...lol. hopefully I find it one day...but it has been a few years, so I'm not holding out hope.
Great video as usual 🤙🏾Do a video about Pterinopelma Sazimai? They don't get enough coverage 😔
Picked up my first sling !🤘🏻saw it grabbed it .
Buen video hermano saludos desde mexico
Just bought a sling of this species & im so excited !!!
How big is yours now?
@@EarthsGeomancer still a sling so not very big maybe about the size of a nickel
Subbed!
Thank you. I appreciate the support.
Man I love this species! cant find it for sale anywhere sadly 🤷♂️ awesome post dude! 🤘
Thanks man. I know the feeling. There wont be any for months and then all the sudden everyone has them for sale but a few weeks later it is back to no one having them in stock.
fearnot has some for $45! im getting one as soon as my paycheck arrives lol
I do prefer the docile Ts. This is one that I have heard the name often, but didn't know anything about it. Now that I've seen this video, I am interested in picking one up at some point. Thanks.
Rock on! That's awesome. Thank you.
I´ve been waiting for this :) I use similiar enclosure, only less substrate since my juvenile albi stoped burrowing after her first molt since i get her (i have her 2,5 years now). She´s hiding only when she´s ready to molt, she´s always stays at the open, pretty active at night. Mine is not so calm, quite moody, sometimes she start kicking hairs when i want to clean the water dish or even when i open the enclosure and sometimes she´s just calm :)
Tarantulas can be temperamental for sure. I think it is cool how the same species can have such drastically different personalities and moods.
@@@tarantulacollective Sooo true, good my other Plesiopelma Iongisterale it total sweetheart :)
thanks for the great care videos, they are very informative and concise. Have you done a care video for Brazilian Red and White Tarantula ( Nhandu chromatus )? I have never kept a spiderling and want to give a try with this one. If you have already done a care video, please point me toward that direction, I couldn't find it on your channel. If not, can you do one? thanks a bunch! keep up the good work!
Thanks a lot Audie! I have not covered that species yet...but I plan on covering it very soon :)
Very underrated species as far as Brachys go
Gorgeous T Richard!! Someone should do a video on the Brachypelma's that had their name changed. I have an albopilosum, vagans and my stepson has albopilosum and hamorii. I would love to see the Ybyrapora diversipes, Monocentropus Balfouri, Poecilotheria metallica and Regalis husbandry videos. My Pseudoclamoris gigas who lost his fangs is doing fantastic and you mentioned in this video not to give prey larger than the T. That's why I ask my stepson to feed him red runners but he put in a medium-large dubia. Keep up the great work you are doing. Take care Richard. Ibnsarachnids aka Rob
Thanks a lot my friend. I have plans on making videos on the Y. diversipes, P. regalis and M. balfouri very soon! They are high on the list. I like your idea about the Brachypelma and Tliltocatl split I may have to put something together on that topic. As far as the P. metallica, you can see that video here: ua-cam.com/video/ouHfMU4qkCA/v-deo.html
I hope you enjoy it
Your chanel is really helpful. Can you please make a husbandry video about T.epicureanum.
Sure thing. I put it on the list. :)
33 333 subs. Gg bro
Thanks Richard for this instructive et interesting video! I recently had the chance to adopt an adorable albiceps too! His size is approximately 1,5-2 inches, and everytine I try to give him a small criket, he kicks hair at it..! He seems to only accept meal worms and other slow worms... Is there any possible reason that would explain that funny but rather odd behavior, according to you? Congratulations for your great work! I am a huge fan of your youtube channel!
Just got a sling today!
Any chance you can do one about B.klaasi? Amazing video!
Well, crap... Another tarantula I should add to my collection 😂 great video, Richard. Best wishes, Ben.
Thank you Ben! If you see it available you should grab it while you can...lol
I just got a juvenile one of these at Petco.
I am having the same problem I cant find the albiceps any where and Its my deam tarantula to add to my collection ,,,,,,great episode keep up the great work
Thanks a lot my friend.
Чувак классные видео спасиб хоть я нечо непонял ты клёвый))
Great vid bro now I gotta find one 🤣😂
LoL
I would love to see Care & Husbandry for G. Actaeon
I have this one 👌
Me going through husbandry playlist: ooooo there’s quite a few tarantulas I’ll add to my list of tarantulas I’ll one day get
This spider: *exists*
Me: MORE MOOOOOORREEEE
Love your videos. These species videos are great. But I do have a question. Where did you get the little water bowls? White with a blue rim. I would love to get some.
If you look under tlmy videos in the description, I usually have links for everything i use for keeping Tarantulas as well as shooting the videos. I actually have those little water bowls on my Amazon store under the "enclosure and husbandry" list that you can find here: www.amazon.com/shop/the_tarantula_collective?listId=1S7ADGAVCTVCM&ref=exp_inf_sh_mb_list_own_the_tarantula_collective_cp
I hope that helps :) Thanks for watching!
Mine missed the memo. These are by far the boltiest and big hiders of my collection. Boltier than my P cambrigei! I have 5
Afternoon richard, well I been busy today, it was re homing day I managed to get acanthoscuria geniculata (jenny)went in easy🕷🖤 and p irminia (marcia) after my pastor😂, she's in her old home but the lid is off just waiting for her to climb out herself into her new home!
I live in southern New Mexico and have 2 wild caught females. They are my favorite of all my Ts because of their docvile nature and the fact they are often out.I have no idea on age.
Hello richard. Can you do a video about the grey mustard baboon? Have a good day
Cobalt blue (Cyriopagopus lividus) vidéo next ???? 👌🏻
I was lucky to find one on jamiestarantulas :) a sling though
Love the content, AND THE INTRO MUSIC! Mind sharing?
If you look in the description of the video you will find all the music I use in the episode credited.
the_tarantula_collective ahhh okay, I was looking at the links. Missed the bottom part. Thanks!
