i bought the 2015 LTZ for $37k last year with the free diesel upgrade thanks to the Holden end of Financial year sale. I believe they did the same this year with the 2016 LTZ diesel. For that price its actually quite a steal, I know people have had issues with the older models and reliability problems but I've had mine for a year, just hit 24'000km and have very little problems.. I do agree the interior parts are cheap and easily scratch and the leather appointed seats are not the greatest, but for the price you cant go wrong.. Just my two cents :)
Awesome review. We just reviewed an older model on our channel. The car is very good value for money when considering all the features you get although it starting to age now compared to the competitors
Yep, this one is the diesel and in terms of trim level, we can only take what Holden has to offer on their Sydney fleet so it was an LT for us. However, it's very similar to the LTZ, missing out only on leather, blind spot warning and the bigger wheels. We go through the stuff on the other models at our Captiva review here: chasingcars.com.au/review/2016-holden-captiva-review/
I for one am sick of the damn shaming of this car. All the horror stories are from 'back in the day'. Like what the 2.0 diesels, the early 2011-2012 models mostly....... the timing chains on the 3.0 which effected the commodores as well. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANYTHING RELEVANT TO NOW!? As in 2016, 2017, 2018..............
A Daewoo for the price of a Holden good value ??? I would not touch anything that came from the Daewoo plant. The only consistency they get is quality and reliability issues.
Access to the third row is easy. This isn't a particularly large SUV so it's really only big enough for pre-teens. Plus when all seven seats are up boot space is very limited - just the shopping will fit behind it. The third row in this is pretty similar to the one in the Outlander.
Holden Craptiva there is a myriad of complaints about these cars if you do your homework Kia and Hyundai are streets ahead in terms of quality and value with great warranties
The cloud still hangs over the car which I do chat about in the video, though Holden have gone some way to shore things up, and quality reports are admittedly better after from the 2013 model year onwards. Still can't beat Hyundai or Kia warranty though…
It is not that good value when you consider what it is, a Daewoo for the price of a Holden. This sort of thing is what caught up on Holden and contributed to their demise.
@@ilqar887 They are still rubbish tho with the quality issues that dog them just like anything that comes out of the Daewoo plant. Daewoo consistently assembled poor quality rubbish which lead to their bankruptcy in 1999. GM bailed the plant out, and they continued to produce poor quality rubbish. They are consistent if nothing else. This is an example why Holden does not exist anymore which ultimately speaks louder than any words as to the state of their product lineup in the end. People started to realise that there were much better offerings elsewhere and the sales numbers showed.
@@TheAllEngineering for me it looks better than any Hyundai or Kia and cheaper for its money and I think its good ..it doesn't claim to be quality car ....in postsoviet countries it is still famous
@@ilqar887 They are also "famous" where I live for all the reasons that lead to the demise of Holden. Many spend a lot of time in the workshop. Great for keeping service people employed, getting up there with VW.
Gas guzzling 4wd sport utility vehicle affected by rising fuel costs to fill up this Gm Korea Captiva, ditch this SUV and get an electric sedan, can’t afford it then go sit on the public transport.

Love my captiva LS 2016 !
How has it been the last 6yrs ?
Honesty love the look of the Captiva, but its a shame that they aren't all that reliable.
you should of either done the ls or ltz because not a lot of people buy the lt and the diesel engines are more popular
