Who else was waiting for Kelsey to build a tiny pin board for the Mouse in her little mouse house by the original pin board? 🥰🐁🐭
lolz! maybe soon!!
Genius!!
4:26 Rachel saying “I’m sorry, dear” is a whole mood. I love seeing the behind the scenes from multiple projects going on in the workshop!!
Came here to say just that. Rachel’s voice is just amazing. She should do podcasts
I love Rachel’s vibe on TSG and her projects but she doesn’t seem happy to be there anymore. Something feels off and has for a while. No?
That Sorry Girls label tag was a sweet touch! ❤
Never thought I’d hear Kelsey say that green is “not the vibe” 😂
lolz!
GROMMET PANTS!! Like the cutout jeans 👖
Literally came here for this!!! 🔥
I wonder if they would be heavy 🤔 I hope the sorry girls try it!
Love your idea! And so many ways to do it too.
YAAASSSSSSS!!! Such a good idea!!!
I have a tunic with grommets around the neckline and hem. I don’t know what metal the grommets are made of, but they’re not too heavy.
I know TSG is very recycle oriented and I just wanted to mention audio books can be rented from your local library. I listen to at least 7 a week I have learned to reserve the audiobooks and can usually get books is within weeks of release. So please talk up your local library as a source for audio books.
thanks for sharing!
YES! Libby is my best friend for sure!
I really like that these ideas were well thought with a specific team member in mind rather than creating things just for the "tips" of the DIY items. Added a really nice personal touch to see the DIYs fulfilling a storage need for each person!
Damn time flies by so fast!! because i remember watching an episode where u guys decorated a space in the office for the new editor who was coming in which was justin!
Grommets: put them in the corners of your beach blanket and use lil camping stakes to keep it in place at the beach. TOTAL game changer.
The grommet slipping thing is real though--I found that out the hard way and ended up sewing them in like you would see with sails almost.
Grommet use ideas: overhead shade sails for a deck, hanging vertical plant pockets using the recycled burlap bags, curtains, etc.
Could not believe my ears when Kelsey said: “Obviously this GREEN is not really the vibe.”
That open end of the metal tool is to cut the fabric right where you want the hole - no scissors required. Also, if you add a triangle of fabric at each corner, to strengthen the grommet, and sew those triangles into your seams, it will really strengthen the whole piece.
Great advice, I wondered about reinforcing that piece! Thanks ❤
Wow, I had no idea.. that would make the process so much easier. I wonder if it cuts holes out of thicker materials as well?
@@sazennonumber yes it does, because its basically chiseling out the material, so you can do many thick layers at a time. Thats also why there was that strange cut out on the side, so that you can clean out the fabric from the tool. It's kind of like an apple corer, but for fabric
@@shelbyhiromi So cool! Thank you so much 🙏 Makes me want to buy one and play around with it.
I would also add, don't cut the holes if you can. Like, with huge grommets it's going to be harder, but if you can use an awl and make a hole without cutting any threads that will make the hole and the fabric much more stable and less likely to fray. If you do cut a hole, try to make sure it's smaller than the grommet. You want a grommet to be able to grab onto the fabric and if the edges of the hole fray the grommet has nothing to grab onto to.
Great video! I've made the over-the-door supply organizer. It's sturdier if you put a dowel along the top and/or a middle grommet. It will sag with anything heavy. Big Hugs!
great tip! thanks for watching!
don't recommend burlap, it's too loosely woven and will fray badly
That little TSG tag is everything! You all should totally start adding makers marks to your projects. :D
The SG logo on the over the door thing!❤❤❤
Justin I hope you’re okay❤ you are amazing and so talented!!
i noticed too. thank you justin for your hard work! glad you’re here 😘
those seem to be old, maybe just let him be and don‘t point it out
@@maravm818 I didn’t say anything towards those, my comment was positive and supportive and I would have made it regardless of what I saw. Justin is very talented and I do wish the best for the Sorry Girls team
my organizer is literally my favourite thing ever I have filled it up even more now!! thank you K
💗💗💗
My husband who is a audiophile is obsessed with Sonopan. We've made wood frames around them at points then upholster with fabric and put up around the house as art/sound dampening!
As someone who has no storage (living in a trailer) these are what i need. Vertical space. I just hung up some floating shelves using one of the pocket holes method from your videos.
I love that justins hay collection is just one hat he really loves in every color
I once bought 2 club chairs and an ottoman at a garage sale and slip covered them in the drop cloth. They got washed frequently and held up well for years.
I placed grommets on my outdoor pillows to hang on hooks near my back door. The hanging pillows line up horizontally over a bench, providing a lovely back cushion for it, when I’m not using them outdoors. You could add grommets to your patio pillows and perhaps hang them on your garage wall?
A couple of ideas of things you can make using grommets are banners/signs and tote bags. You could use the grommets on a tote bag where the handles would go. Feed the fabric, rope, or whatever you will use as the handle, through the grommet hole and tie off into a knot to secure. The knot could be on the outside for aesthetics. Another idea is to make a tissue box cover and a larger grommet in the middle of the top as the hole where the tissue comes out. I saw a pillow cover that used grommets on the edges of both sides to tie the panel covers together through the grommets and another pillow with a sash going down one side of the pillow with three large grommets as a design feature. Love Your Channel!
I would also recommend iron on interfacing before you cut out the holes to prevent fraying and add even more support to the hole. (or you could add Fray-Check). And, if you pleat between the pockets, it will make them dimensional, like cargo pockets, and they'll hold more.
oh that hat rack isssssss a vibe!!!!!
A shout out and thank you. I had been searching for a solution for my husband's hat "situation". The hat organizer project was super easy. I made two...one using a hole saw and one using a spade bit. Both easy but different processes.
Drop cloths are also so great to dye! I love the texture on them and you can make them any color you need for your project!
Never been first in my life, and ive been subbed for years, lets go girlies.
You did it!
👏👏👏
Cool organising hacks! Thank you! How about a grommet belt? Or a decorative panel on a dress?! Grommeting looks super fun. enjoy!
You made a jig for your hat rack. Nice!!!!
That last (sewing) project is majestic! I loveee how it turned out.
thanks so much!
I loved the coffee bag style!! But totally get why you painted it ❤
Hey:) you doing great. I really enjoy watching anything you make but also missing classic sorry girls makeovers. I hope you design other people space as well.❤
Also loved the vacation home makeovers!
The hat rack is pretty cool.
Great job, Kelsie! Loved every one of your DIYs.
A project that I used grommets on was a rectangular cover over some storage boxes. Picture a 3d recangle 36"x122"x60" I added two rows of grommets at each end of the tall narrow sides, like a corset. I secured the canvas tarp over the totes like wrapping a present and then tie the ends just like you would a corset using UV parachute cord as it is outside. I get no snow.
For the grommets you could do curtains or some kind of diy backdrop. Or a room separator panel that could be strung onto a simple frame?
oooo love that!
@@TheSorryGirls oh or the panel could fold with some hinges :)
BYMB! So happy for and proud of the Sorry Girls' on this next step in their business! ❤
Love the canvas door pocket storage! I have several that I bought and use them all the time!!
I'm definitely going to ask my coffee shop if they have giveaway bags..I love the board idea!!!
But I'm going to keep the design.
Loved all the DIYs!!
The pin board gave me detective red lines to pin vibes too 😂 detective Kelsey on the hunt for loose papers 😂lol
I could watch your videos everyday!
awww thanks!
I love the bulletin board. Apparently, many people need to organize so that they can see items. A great reminder system. I've never seen the things for hiding screw heads. What a great idea!Although I have no need for it, the hat tree is brilliant! Protects hats and looks good, especially if someone is proud of their collection. The storage panel is a great project and soooo useful! If storing heavy things, maybe put a channel for a dowel at the top and bottom, and if storing bulkier items, make a pocket that's square at the bottom. I love the idea of using a canvas drop sheet! You could paint or stencil this project too, or use patterned fabric as a second layer or ticking.
Omg I LOVE the little sorry girls tag on the organizer! ❤
your videos are just so comforting and relaxing to watch!
aww thanks for watching!
The hat rack is truly innovative and executed beautifully!! That’s a DIY I’d like to try and might be one of my favorites you guys have done!
With the grannets, make another pair of cool pants ofcourse! Maybe with bows or other cool stuff "sewn" through.
I ❤ this series!!
Such a good timing! I'm just in the progress of organizing and moving around crafty stuff all around my apartment. Thanks sorry girls and the crew!! Been a fan for 11yrs 🎉❤
That cap rack! 👌🏽👌🏽 so clean.
Yellowstone is indeed country Succession! (the prequels to Yellowstone are bomb!!!!)
I definitely need to make that door hanger that’s genius!
do it!
Hey Kelse, LOVE learning about this new material to use as a base!! I'd like to suggest the addition of some wall pockets to it though too, so you can tuck in receipts, group papers, etc. and MAXIMIZE the surface area. Have you thought of that? Just cup up another sack. You can easily use hot glue, (and your trusty stapler on one side 'blind' then fold over, so you can't see staples). You might wanna duck tape the fabric on the back-you didn't have much clearance there. Way to rock this project! P.S. Please tell Rachel to bring back her eyebrows. 😉
💯 making that craft organizer this weekend
omg do it!
Thanks for reminding me a coffee shop near me also has coffee bags!😮
I think you should customize some jeans with grommets. Also Chanel did some cute jackets with snaps as decorative elements, a little tweed lady-jacket with grommet trim might be very cute!
❤ wow! The last one was the best
Omg the little TSG tag on the door hanger organizer!?!!❤❤❤
That book is soooo good!
I think I'm making some hat storage this weekend! My husband will be stoked! I own way to many hats for the windy city we live in haha.
I love the energy this video has Guys!
I love a good practical diy! And it's pretty
Vary nice!!! Love the hat rack!!
Omg wish you could make one for my husband such a good idea to display hats!!
This is my fave Kelsey's vid 🤗
Grommet project idea: shower curtain!
Using the drop cloth as fabric is so smart!
I love these ones. More DIYing for our friends!
ahhhh! the little TSG tag was soooo cute!!
I own my home so I could do this ,you may not want to if you rent . I put the screw in I hooks to hang mine up .Works perfect I used the half inch. It's as big as the closet door and full of new bottles of cleaner and supplies. Each one labeled so when I make my shopping list it's easy... empty spot ...dish detergent - on the list ! This has been a game changer for me cuts out the Extras! Our thrift stores here has lots of these cheap but no hangers.
Very clever cutting in the parking lot! Where there's a will, there's a way to fit it in your vehicle! I especially like that you include how to hang the projects! have a beautiful day! S.
glad you liked it!
always happy to see justin!❤
Great projects.
another way u could arrange the pockets to avoid so much hemming is (if you have extra fabric) to fold the pocket strips more like almost a letter fold where its in thirds so the hems are just all hidden together
Now Grommet is my new favourite word and I too want grommets in my life. Thanks Kelsey!
lolz!
I love seeing Justin in videos!!!! Hope he loves the hat rack :)
Totally gotta try the hat rack for my hubs and two boys. There are so many hats between them
I use clear shoe wall hangings ...they have pockets for the shoes/ supplies and since they are clear you can see everything. Great for art supplies hanging in my studio.
Instead of meticullously cutting out the grommet holes with scissors, the kit comes with a round punch that you can use. It was the second tool you showed off at 15:12. Much faster, I imagine!
So good ❤❤❤
I'm cracking up at you saying that the green is not the vibe because usually you're like GREEN!! That's so cool about the coffee bags! What a neat find.
Kelsey please share where you found your awesome mock/cowl neck top! I want to do a poshmark search.
Yellowstone's Beth is my spirit animal
Definitely make a custom shower curtain with your many grommets and make it super cool and idk embroidered wow I can just imagine how beautiful it could be seriously
that would be cool!
Not Alexis Mateo’s BAM! 😂😂😂
I also loved that audiobook! I recommend Matthew Perry's "Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing" and Matthew McConaughey "Green Lights", and if you liked the Royal Family, Prince Harrys "Spare" is good.
I think I'm on board with the gromets jeans idea 😂❤❤
Aw, the tiny sorry girls tag is adorable
This was fun! ❤
glad you enjoyed it!
You're such a great friend.
Thank you ❤🎉
For the grommets you could make the coffee bags into over the shoulder bags with grommet holes for rope handles.
cutting the board in the parking lot was such a power move
Now you gotta make a bathroom curtain with the grommets 🙌🏼🙌🏼
YES to the Yellowstone/Succession question
is there a Justin room makeover.?
Maybe gromet an apron with thick cotton canvas and leather offcuts?
Kelsey, you need to add a 3rd grommet in the middle or the two grommets will slide together, alternatively you can add a dowel to hold the width firmly open.
The fabric organizer is giving me shoe organizer vibes and I can’t not see it.
