Theres always the “behind the waterfall” cliche but I’ve never seen destroying the waterfall to be the option.
Actually the protagonist in the original novel that this game was made based on, lives behind a waterfall.

@@sexyghezil7513 in his early days before the staff, there was a master who taught him spells, one of them is a travel spell, which can travel 108,000 li (54,000km) in one jump, the staff is not what slows him down lol.
Game looks phenomenal, my main worry is how unimpactful the attacks seem in its current state.

The dragon has armor man lol. Other smaller enemies do react you need to watch older gameplay footage.
Like souls games if an enemy have high poise he doesnt get stagerred by your hits shouldnt be a problem for soul players

All recent Chinese games I've played feel like everything has no weight and just floats (like in Gujian 3)
The walking, running animation needs to be on pace with speed. Character is moving slower yet the animation looks like he is putting a lot of effort for it. Apart from it... it looks incredible. Excited!

It’s looking pretty impressive. It would be nice to see some fights against multiple smaller enemies instead of so many one on one fights with big enemies.

When they started making this game they did announce that the game was gonna be just one boss battle after another

After seeing the pole mechanic against the dragon before where he extends it above an enemy I’m glad it’s still in the game

Absolutely amazing.
This seems to be one of those games where you gotta isolate from the real world for a couple days (or more as needed) and enjoy it without being interrupted.

One major aspect that I've notice about this game from this trailer and past ones is that once you defeat a monster you can become them and use their moves for a certain time at least. That's going to be interesting.

They let people believe it's a full game when in reality they just use the levels as tech demos to get more money from investors. This whole story leaked months back. They only have one level completed with "launch quality".

To anyone curious as to what our monke protagonist was fighting that looks like a dragon, thats not a dragon but a Qilin. A chimeara like beast in Chinese folklore, not malevelont though.

@@Marlo_Branco sorry seem that my statement is wrong. According to the name of the creature as it emerged from the tree in the clip, its one of the dragon king's sons but the design look very close to qilin... even if you google image a qilin statue it looks really close.

The game looks great! My only issue is the run/sprint animation needs to be worked a bit. Make it more fluid.
My thoughts when the dragon came out, “bro, my boy couldn’t even beat the giant man baby thing…and you expect him to beat a dragon? Okay…”
For a game that looks this nice they should really tweak some key animations. De normal run/jog animation looks completely off. Weird slowmo floating animation while barely moving forward, also ton of little stutters and bad transitions. Combat also doesn't look impactful enough. Should be very doable to polish/balance though, and besides that it looks super impressive
Agreed, but such issues are commonplace (unfortunately) and this is not the worst I’ve seen. That EA Jedi game from a couple of years ago was way worse.
It still needs polishing,but the graphics and background settings are unparalleled
Love the fact, that he died during the boss fight, but it cuts to him having defeated the boss.
Maybe he didn’t die, just the devs don’t want us to see phase 2 of the boss fight
More like the devs died to the boss as part of gameplay and not show any other phase while also deciding to give a teaser of what happens after this particular boss.

Great looking game and super unique character modeling themes. However, a few things irk me sound-design-wise. Especially the hollow sound the primary weapon makes on impact. Makes the attacks seem very weak and unsatisfying, and like every hit is futile.
looks fantastic but the walking (not sprinting) animation looks kinda weird. As if the character is moving in slow-motion. But other than that, it looks awesome. The Sekiro-ish vibes of this game is my favourite.

This genre has evolved so much in just a few years. Elden Ring and this would have seemed impossible not long ago
@Worst Case Scenario compare Wukong and Elden Ring to Bloodborne or Dark Souls 3. Graphics, combat and open world are all improved on a massive scale. The only issue with Wukong so far is that some of the attacks don't look impactful.

@@jayomega2717 there is so much more you can do in the combat of Elden Ring than any previous FromSoft game. It's an evolution of every previous entry in the series. The enemies and bosses are a combination of all the previous entries too. That's FromSofts whole model. Every new game is an evolution of the last.

The art direction of this game is insane.
Wished the fighting looked a little more fluid … but exciting game for sure .
This production looks fantastical. The character progression arcs, gameplay, multiplayer, and the story will be interesting. Love the lore, the deep Asian mythology, and the obvious parallels to ancient reality.
This can easily become my favorite game ever - so beautiful, such a fascinating gameplay with different skills and combat moves, and the more is super enticing. Can’t wait to play it!!!

The guy was clipping the grass like it's litterally invisible walls that look like scenery you can actually explore lol
Game looks nice but man they should of put more money into the sound track. The music just doesn't make the action feel amazing. Listening to the music in the trailer and it just feels out of place, the instruments are fine but they should of increased the tempo of the beat and added more of the instruments to make the fighting feel more amazing. But maybe they did in other parts of the game, so far from all the stuff they released the games ost is the only bad part I've seen. Ost can kill a game if it doesn't mesh well with the image given.

Cyberpunk was released way too easly cuz its tedious fans were whining like babies by wanting to release the game early. What a farce really, fans ruined it. We could have gotten a really promising enjoying game if it weren't their fault.
Cyberpunk, No Mans Sky, Battlefield 2042, etc. were made by inexperienced amateurs.
This Game is made by experienced talented developers

This game looks all over the place, combat doesn't seem very fun and the effects are overwhelming + this type of indie game with top-tier graphics always ends up not coming out.
It's incredible that a creation of man can seem so enticing to other men. The dedication that goes into such a marvel has no words to describe it.

Still looks like a render slice rather than an actual game. The lack impact animations/effects and any sort of continuation between areas supports the view.

My goodness just the animation quality in this enemy variety - looks perfectly mocapped and fits the character. Shockingly well.
Even compared to from software games, it feels so much more natural looking at that statue guy move
It is missing some depth of sound when the character strikes...I would like to see an improvement in the sound department before the release.
Hopefully, my years of accumulated knowledge watching old chinese "journey to the east" shows as a child would not go to waste. Definitely going to try out!
Looks amazing. Attacks could be more impactful and the pick up animation needs to go completely. But otherwise this looks amazing.

The impacts sounds and enemy reactivity is weak. Feels like hitting the side of a building with a broom handle.
Looks beautiful my only gripe is the obvious pause between attack animations on the enemies. It’s almost robotic in a way.
Game looks great and fun, but enemies seem way to spongy IMO.

@@jasonrice6966 ever played sekiro ? the health bar is pretty much an illusion to keep you going. the point is to keep attacking relentlessly till opponent breaks posture , for you to deliver critical hits with actual substantial damage

This looks absolutely stunnning the power of Unreal 5, I love that the mechanic/abilities of being able to shape shift and alter the size of the staff are in game they've translated well and the combat encounters look really fun a title to watch out for in 2023

it looks pretty but the attacks lack impact... they have the sound effects but it doesn't feel like the enemies are getting hit with the staff
Graphics is amazing, movement feels swift and smooth, bosses are unpredictable, everything seems really great. Just wish the attacks would feel a bit more impactful, coz it feels like the attacks are doing nothing to the enemies

We're seeing the exact same phenomena here where people are calling for the game to be released as soon as possible and calling it a masterpiece and the best game ever made, when the last report on the state of the game revealed that there is literally a single, functional area.
2 things: Hitting a large creature by the leg should get it flinching by the leg. Please do not let the broken debris or tree roots fade into the scene so quickly and obviously.

1:55 It's a rest function that resets enemies like in Sekiro. The game is looking absolutely gorgeous, can't wait till it's 2024.
This can only be called legendary graphics :O Very interested in this game. The fighting system looks to be a little... "disconnected," in lack of better words. The attacks doesnt affect the enemies unless it's some fancy special move designed to trigger some event. While he's wailing away at the dragons face, nothing happens. It's not a big issue, but it's things like that i'd love to see in newer games.
This game gives me “The king’s avatar” vibes with those dodges, but needs more attacking to make playing fun.
Isn't Sun Wukong literally seven different kinds of immortal? I'm interested to see how they justify a health bar.
if you watch the first trailer, the character we play isn't really Sun Wukong. There is another wukong in the first trailer.

Im also super intrigued by what looks to be some sort of codex of creatures well fight itll be amazing to find out there significance and backstory in mythology

Looks incredible with RT and DLSS. This will be significantly better on a high end PC vs console since it's really taking advantage of the tech.
Looks amazing but I'm worried it will be too easy. The fights just look underwhelming when attacking and the attacks against you are easy to dodge and don't seem to do much damage. It's exactly like a souls game that decided to eliminate the difficulty.

The game looks stunnung. The atmosphere is top tier. The enemy design is beautiful. That being said, just watchung this one trailer gives me some pause... For starters, the animations seem a little clunky or not as fluid as id expect. Now that could easily be just the game needing more polishing. The next is that the combat does not seem visceral enough... Attacks by enemies that appear to be heavy hitting look to not have a tone of effect, aside from a little blood splash? As for your character, smacking around large enemies with a staff that dont appear to be phased, just looks bad from a gameplay perspective.
