There are a few technological hiccups here-and-there. But we still have another year before release, and oftentimes that period is devoted to polish after the core gameplay of any in-development game is finished.
Don't play the game. You wouldn't understand any of the plot, because this is based on the legendary Monkey King's 16th century story. If you don't like him, then you won't understand anything in this game. It'll be too overwhelming for your brain, I think.
