Hi Kim! I just joined your patron page. I love your art. I’ve been watching some of your older videos this being one of them. I couldn’t figure out on your patron page, how to open up the file to print the pictures. Could you possibly email me the pictures? You inspired me and I can’t wait to start experimenting with some of the tips that you’ve given in your videos. I look forward to hearing from you.
So beautiful Kim! Are those your favorite acrylics? What would you recommend for very shiny sticky acrylics? A top coat? Mine go on pretty thick and then sticky when dry. For an art journal its a bit of a problem! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Evelyn, If you are having problems with pages sticking together in your art journal, put a piece of baking paper between them. I'm afraid I don't know if a top coat would help as I haven't used one yet on acrylics. The Amsterdam standard are definitely my favourite student level paint at the moment and I do find myself using them a lot and I haven't noticed them being too sticky either.
I was very pleased with that colour combo find, the red / orange, I don't often reach for orange, don't know why, but I love it with that red underneath!
Ugh, that aqua color IS beautiful. I really love all the textures you built up, and the contrast in the colors is striking. When you showed the paints initially I thought I wouldn’t like it, but you really managed to make it work!
Hi Kim I have a question about the paint tube nozzles. do they remain on the tubes after your painting session and close somehow to keep the paint from drying out or are they just used to squirt thin strips of paint. and removed and washed at the end of each painting session.
Hiya Deborah, so I do have a video showing the opening and shutting of these in more detail here: goo.gl/dmqgzJ They screw on to the tube in a closed state. To open you unscrew them like a quarter or so turn and they click so you know that they are opening and not just unscrewing them from the tube. To close them you just twist them back again. It's way easier to understand when you have them in your hands! They can permanently replace the cap and I just leave them on the tube, then swap them to a new tube when the paint has run out. I clean the tips after each use as the tiny bit of paint that squeezes out when you close them will dry on the tip and block it if you aren't carefully, but I've not had any trouble with dried paint in the nozzle, I just clean the tip and it works fine. Hope that helps.
Thanks Dorothy. I really love that Turquoise, I am going to need to get a new tube soon :D And I am pleased how well it went with that blue, that was a lucky colour combo find!

What a great piece, Kim! No one would believe it´s just a few colors; the texture and layers look great. I love those butterflies! Tfs, Fia xx
I know! I mean I love simple designing, as you know, but this is ridiculously simple but it still works!
What a gorgeous colour combo. That red/orange is just beautiful. Love your butterflies!

I know, you wouldn't think they would really work together but they kind of do don't they?! I am in love with that aqua color, can't stop using it!
