Thank you so much for your electrifying video of your creative space. I am very organized as well and cannot create in a disaster. Your work is breathtakingly original. I kept wanting to see more and more. My heart was beating faster the entire time I watched your video. I came across your video quite by chance. I’m just now beginning to immerse myself into art creations. I love specifically abstract acrylics and other mixed media collage. I’m 67 but I’m burning up inside wanting to create and express myself. Thank you again. I will keep an eye out for whatever you send out.

The double 8x10 metal frame with glass made me nostalgic for my father's picture frame shop where i spent many days as a child over 80 years ago. Thanks for the tour.

Hi Agata, thank you so much for sharing a view of your studio, which is very inspiring :) I'm new to collage, and was wondering how to deal with the copyrights of the photos we want to use from magazines for instance. Thank you for your help

Pięknie Ci dziękuję, że zabrałaś mnie do swojego świata - do swojego studio, gdzie tworzysz. Jesteś niezwykle inspirująca, a zarazem skromna 😊 🥰

      Przytulam mocno ♥

Hi there Agata, I'm Kristine, and I'm thrilled to have stumbled upon your video today!! I had to reach out when I heard that you moved from Tampa to Portland not too long ago. I made the same move from Hutchinson Island which is across from Tampa on the East coast of Florida in 2010. I was working as an Interior Designer in Vero Beach, and was just sick to death of doing traditional beach homes for snowbirds to retire in and I don't think I could have found anywhere in the US that was more of a change than PDX, haha!!!
Honestly, being a rather quirky, introverted artist weirdo, it's not always that easy for me to make friends, and I miss the camaraderie I had with the other artists in college. So, when I'm working sometimes I turn on videos like this for background noise and occasionally I'll even see a technique that I'd like to try out (no plagiarism though, I assure you) but I thought I'd take a little break and reach out to you.
If you ever spend any time in Southeast Portland, I'm in the Lents/Foster-Powell area, maybe we could have coffee sometime if you're up for it? Sorry, I'm not sure about you, I'm wary of trying to meet people via the net (most seem to be men looking for a date) so, I do completely understand if I don't get a response from this comment, but I have signed up for your email list and I'll reach out either on your site or your IG. I really love your work, I think maybe the high fashion references were the thing that really inspired me to say hello, because lately I've been creating more "wearable art" than "wall art." Add to that a passion for photography and well, we have an inordinate amount in common, haha!
Anyway, my pleasure to make your acquaintance, but it's time to get back to work! Be well, Kristine.

Coincidentally, I was going through my pencil collection tonight to do some swatching, and I found three Koh-I-Noor soft pastel pencils. They are great! Thank you for the tour. I love your work!

Hi I’m hoping this UA-camr can illuminate in the copyright issue. Are the collage content elements your own photography or the work of others. I’m really confused

Hi Agata, i have just found your work. So interesting, and unique. Love it. Also enjoyed your studio tour. Love your passion and excitement.
I am an artist. Love mixed media, collage, gel printing and so much more. Can't stick to just one thing 😁🙄
My father came to Australia from Poland when he and his family were liberated from a concentration camp during the second world war. Their farm had been taken, so they had to move somewhere. I would like to visit Poland one day.
Wishing you well x Jayna Podgorski ♥️🇦🇺🦘

      Hello Jayna,
It's a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for your kind words; they mean a lot to me. I also appreciate you sharing your family story-I'm truly touched by it.
I would love to see your work. I'll try to find you on Instagram, or if you could share it with us (links), we'd all love to explore it.
I believe that experimenting with various tools is essential as it allows us to continuously evolve our skills, enriching our artistic expression.
Sending lots of love and best wishes with your creative endeavors,
      Agata

First time I discovered Yarka I was purchasing supplies for my art classroom. The moment I opened them I was transported back in time to when I was a little kid back in Romania painting my little watercolors. They have a specific scent that stayed in my memory for decades. Where did you find that new set? I need to get me a professional set since I only have the ones we use in my class.

I'm a new collage artist. I love your work so much!!
I have a question, how can you protect your collage work from dust? I'm struggling with this because I have a limited space and I don't know how to protect my work from collecting dust.. it's a silly question, but I thought I would ask it anyways... have a lovely day!

    • @agatarek_official
      @agatarek_official  Рік тому

Hi Anna, I am very happy you are trying the collage!
It's a very good question. I store my art in drawers and that works fine, but you can also purchase foil sleeves in the size you prefer to protect your art against dust. I have no particular brand, but usually, it's sold in bulk.
      I hope this helped.
      with love,
      Agata

Since so many of your collages are made from copyrighted photos, I thought I would ask how you protect yourself from copyright infringement lawsuits? Maybe the copyright laws different where you are? Here in the USA, it’s against the law to show or sell work that includes copyrighted photos. And all the photos in magazines are copyrighted.

I’ve thought about this often when i see artists using magazines for collage. I’m guessing that technically there could be a copyright claim but maybe it doesn’t come to light unless you have a super successful piece or something?

Remaking the image and modifying the original allows you to legally make it your own. The % of the modification is what counts.
