I thought the policy of almost every fire department nowadays is to have firefighters seated and wearing their seatbelt while en route. If you end up having an accident the result could be deadly. This just isn't worth the risc.
While you do make a good point, this is the upside of having a walk-in rescue, you can gear up in route. Plus this helps the rescue company get out the door quickly.
@@enjoythesiren911 The eventual goal must be that everyones ends up safely at the fireground. Imagine they end up in an accident like Patterson a few weeks ago or Oakland a few months ago ?
