Going from one call to another in NHFD Engine 10

- We are at the scene of the single car accident that struck the light pole in Middletown Avenue in New Haven. As soon as police arrived on scene, we were dispatched to an accident involving a motorcycle at Grand Avenue and Haven Street. The motorcyclist was cut off while turning onto Grand Avenue and wiped out. Luckily, the cyclist didn't sustain any bad injuries, but was transported to the hospital. The driver of the car remained at the scene. Engine 10 is a 2016 Pierce Arrow XT. Enjoy the view of the response. As a side note, the remark the Lieutenant made, with regards to my taking photos, was just to make sure I didn't take any photo or video of the patients at EMS calls. I already self-impose that rule out of respect to the patients, but it's good to see that he was covering the bases. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on May 10th, 2016.
Wow that driver is a pro!
Qqqqqqqqqqqq
Awesome ride along! Love how they used the Q and air horns :)
90 percent of responding in any emergency vehicle involves shaking ours heads and wondering what is wrong with people lol
Impressive "Drive it Like You Stole it" skills New Haven FD!
Cyclists seem to think that "share the road" applies to everyone but them.
Man you guys were hauling! Amazing!
Amazing ride along! Nice job!
+Rafael Leite Obrigado! I enjoy watching your videos, too.
Did this the other day. Always rocks!
another real nice vid bud, as always from Boston, stay safe out there buddy. Matt..
Wanna see you guys right now
So who keeps winding up the Q or is it a preset like the wail on the siren?
Alex Schlegel most likely there are 2 pedals on the passenger side floor, 1 you press on to wind up the Q and the other is the brake to to stop the Q manually instead of letting it wind down on its own
@@LALC318 Yeah. But isn't the second button for the horn? At least that's our engines in DC
@@zeus_3135 no he's pulling the rope for horn
@@monsterford8009 Ik that, DCFEMS has a horn button as well as a rope. that's why I asked.
@@monsterford8009 Actually. Look. ua-cam.com/video/Y-mJlJaVXFI/v-deo.html
This is exactly what I'm talking about.
How do you get these ride alongs? Love your videos by the way
You can sign up at your local station I believe. If it's not there you can ask any of the firefighters where you can apply for a ride along and I'm sure they'd be glad to tell you where.
Nice driving
horns need to be louder try a train horn
Middletown avenue to Ferry Street, my old neighborhood. Still classy Nuevo Haven, lol.
This driver is my spirit animal...LOL
was he mad at 1:15 for taking video??
Not at all. He was just letting me know that at an accident scene or an EMS call, that he didn't want me to film the victim(s). This was already known to me, and he and I talked about it afterwards.
FL92002 ok
No, simply tellling him that photos are fine on scene, but no video because of patient privacy and such.
awesome video!
So many drivers don’t pay attention when police , ambulance, fire.trucks coming! Please watch your mirrors!!!!
I'm a new subscriber
did you guys get a pee break?
“Imbecile!” Love it
You never fail to disappoint
What state are these videos made in? Is it P.A?
No, Connecticut.
nice video. what did he say to you about taking pictures??
S Macklam no videos of patients on calls
ahh ok cool
S Macklam he said taking pictures is fine but when we are on calls no pictures of the patients
THEY HAVE A BLAST PULLEN THAT HORN
Not making sure the intersection is cleared on a red? Otherwise, awesome video. 🤙🏻🇺🇸
Yeah I noticed that too, different protocols I guess
Pretty cool
Is it a auto q siren or manually activated q siren , nice ride along
It's a foot pedal
I live in new haven
My Dream work
Good chauffeur dual air horn pulls! Real city truck no electronic sirens just a q and horns👍
It’s fun to ride in a fire truck 🚒
Noodles!
The only imbisul is the driver
Imbisul, eh? :)
Uhhh, no, bud, the driver is NOT the imbecile. Regardless of your method of transport whether that is by car or bike, you always yield to emergency vehicles no matter what.
