- Engine 502 responding to assist Station 58 (Rawlinsville) on a working barn fire. Crews assisted with water supply, fire suppression, and overhaul before clearing. The Tower also made the response and can be seen at the end. Willow Street Fire Company. Taken 8/22/22

Q: "Where is this?"
A: Our fire house is located in the town of Willow Street, just south of Lancaster City, Lancaster County Pennsylvania.
Q: "What is the spinning thing?"
A: That is called the "Roto-Ray," it is a spinning light designed to catch drivers attention.
Q: "Why is the call so far away?" or "Why does it take so long to get there?"
A: Many of our responses, or at least many of the ones that are uploaded are responding to assist other departments. Usually another firehouse can be seen or is passed by who is already on the call. We can reach the far end of our first due in West Lampeter Twp within 5 minutes, and in Providence Twp about 7.
Q: "What camera are you using?"
A: For dash cams I use a GoPro Hero 7, helmet cam videos I use a FireCam 1080 - Авто та транспорт
I love these ride alongs... this is one the best ones yet... roto-ray lights, sirens, speed, and rain and the best part of all of this... No freakin' music! Normal background noise, just the way I love it.
Rare moments: no lights & siren at the beginning, heavy rain, a rainbow, more rain and flooded roads. Crazy!
It is almost certainly due to having empathy with the neighbor. Do you know what it's like to live next to a barracks where sirens wake you up at any hour?
Regarding the lights, I couldn't tell you, but I understand the siren part, unless there is another reason that the video does not show. Greetings

This truck needs new wipers and blinker fluid.
It doesn’t need those it’s just cuz the cam is not where the blade is wiping
Everyone always over looks their blinker fuild and that's why their transmissions overheat!
You can also see, at Normal speed, that the wipers aren't touching that part of the windshield, sense it's probably the bottom corner of it. 🤷♂️
most fire trucks have straight windows so the wind and the rain hit the window

My dad was a volunteer fire fighter he told me he went to a garage fire and they blew it out in the backyard because a couple kids played with matches but nobody was hurt

A beautiful drive scenery wise. I like the description cause yes I was wondering what the spinny thing was. Sadly though, you try to explain response time, I know a bit about cars, rode in a engine in a parade years ago thanks to my uncle a battalion commander, it wasn’t a pumper, or one with all the rescue equipment on it, just a big brand new at the time engine (though it had a water tank, equipment, and the ability to pump water). None the less it wasn’t a Ferrari😂 and in that town the nearest city where I reside now is like 24 miles…… so several thousand pounds I get it. Must say though in this vid that’s the fastest I’ve seen an engine roll

The windshield wipers make more noise than the Q does and did absolutely nothing for the windshield, either. In any case... thank you for your services.
One question. I notice sometimes went there aren’t many cars around the siren is turned off. Is this mainly for noise pollution limiting?

It’s a water tank some would say it’s a pool, but being that there’s no hydrants in the area or on that road you would do what’s called a “tanker taskforce” which is basically a nonstop rotation of tankers constantly refilling that tank until you get the fire under control. and the tankers usually come from anywhere within a certain mile radius in my area within two hours of Lancaster County at certain house fires we’ve had tankers come from almost 25 miles away.

Not having good wipers on that engine is a safety hazard to the public. Hopefully y'all change them out asap
The wipers are actually fine, where the camera sits the blade doesn't touch

All states have exemptions to not only seatbelt laws, but most laws.
So, read the entire seatbelt law for your state and see all the exemptions.
Why does it matter what the law is on seatbelts? Wear them for safety
