PURE MOTIVATION! I have a gym membership and used it maybe twice. This guy has a physical labored job and still finds time to exercise! Well done bro! 👊
Thanks brother!!
Not only u have to drive all day u have to get in n out the truck 100 times that’s tiring enough going to the gym on ur lunch break is beast mode
100 times isnt bad imo. At amazon, i had 240 stops @@SmokinDaOps
Try being a union cement mason
Now I know why my UPS guy can’t stay and chit chat. You guys are on the go...
I’m a UPS driver out of Seattle. Very interesting seeing the differences . I average 25-30 miles daily with 180-220 stops with a 30 min lunch. 55-60 hrs a week.
Crazy!!!!
Driver out of Los Angeles and yeah, pretty much the same thing for me. 40 mile daily with average of about 180 stops 250 pieces. 11-12 daily. I love my route though it’s mostly residential
I prefer an extended route myself! I had 74 stops & 204 miles today and was able to code 5 lol
@@MasterPotSmith420 that’s crazy. I mean it’s easier on your knees for sure, but I’d rather get the hours while I can. I bought my first house two years ago and looking to buy my next one possibly next year as a rental property. I’m not trying to be driving till I’m 60 lol
@@MasterPotSmith420you need to slow down, I usually run 110-130 miles with 40-50 stops and work 9-9.5 hours
Super interesting to see package delivery from the perspective of the person who brings the items- I’ve only been on the other side of this. Appreciate the time it took to out this together! Love your positive vibe. Totally subscribed. :)
Im taking a shit while watching this !
I’m doing my road test next week and my last job didn’t have lunch breaks or breaks at all. I almost cried when I heard I may be getting a 1hr lunch. Pray for me y’all I really could use this job to support my family.
That view of his truck at 11AM is the exception, not the rule. Don't be misled. UPS all around me are routinely out til 7-8PM and later. Even dispatching at 830/9AM running out with 200-250 stops a day with a massive chunk of rural to boot. It's brutal.
How’d it go?
@@kasually213 did not pass my road test.
@@NecroBurt sorry to hear it brother, but do not give up, how old are you, may I ask ?

I’m an Amazon driver (Carle Place NY, Long Island). I usually get between 300 and 350 packages a day (sometimes close to 400) because I’m so good at the job. My routes are always very tight with the stops being very close together. Long Island is home to eight million people so I’m never delivering in rural areas. I usually get to my route at noon and I deliver until about 7:00 o’clock. If I have a lighter day I can finish earlier than that. I usually get between 240 and 280 different locations on a route. I usually have a very heavy workload. Long Island is also very congested so I’m usually in terrible traffic, even on Sundays. I started in November 2023 after I lost my previous job as a coach cleaner for Metro North Railroad. I found something I’m very good at and I have no plans on leaving anytime soon.
Thanks for taking us along your day!
Thank you!
Nice video my guy. I drive for the other guys "Amazon" and absolutely love my job. Your organization and pace is right at my speed. Keep it up!
Thank you so much for the support brother!
I was pkg driver for 35 years. I started we were on paper records . No cell phones or GPS. We used paper maps until we mastered the rt
And you most likely had pickups late on returning to the building.
I did a rural route for FedEx ground in Nebraska in 2020. It's nice to see others doing the dusty grind. I knew the UPS guy too. We were cool, but he was definitely burned out and had a limp. Found about 30 of his packages at the end of a 3/4 mile drive way one day. Guess he didn't want to navigate the driveway...
That’s crazy!!
Great video! You got a good upbeat attitude about life, I can tell. Same here, I like to get after it every day as good as I can and keep my chin up. Stay well bro.
Thank you!!
This is a great video, I'm currently an Amazon driver and considering i'll probably never be able to retire driving for Amazon I've been looking into ups full time driving and found out they make really good pay and have great benefits. After doing much reading on Google without actually watching any videos about driving for UPS, I was at the very least intimidated lol. This video is reassuring that it's not too much different than driving for Amazon minus different procedures and rules that you guys have to go through, other than that though I'm excited to make the transition here in about a year-and-a-half. Hopefully I don't have to start off in the warehouse, I've been reading about that as well, would much rather start up as a part-time driver, but whatever I have to get through in the beginning to become a full-time driver I figure it's worth it. Thanks again for the great video and keep up the content, love to see more
Just curious why are you waiting another year and a half to make the jump?
@@emt7771 I currently have a baby on the way and I want to be at a job that I'm secure at least until I get through this first round of paternal leave and have a full year of driving experience, I'm probably just overthinking it all but I get all ocd about making every thing a process lol, I do want to be able to retire one day, so I will have to eventually make the jump much sooner than later
Thank you so much for the support! You got this!!!
@@tharealcoasta3820 just apply for driving position those warehouse stories are bs. People join the warehouse because they’re afraid to start driving I see a couple positions for driver available in my area. A lot of people are comfortable at a warehouse .
@@masterroshi3994 a lot of drivers have to start in the warehouse, they don’t hire many off the streets
Great video, I wanna be an ups driver when Im older, this was pretty helpful and now I know how it works. 👍
Worked at Usps for quite a while, enjoy seeing your videos and route, keep it up with more!
Thank you!!!
I am currently looking for a job since I hate what I am doing now. Great video, I was trying to figure out how it was. So far, I like what I see.
I give you much respect getting that gun show training in during lunch!
Thanks bro!!
Retired 5 years ago from UPS after 30 years, it was a great job with great benefits and now I am enjoying my pension! Take care of your body so you can still have fun when this is just a memory..
honk horn upon arriving and anounce ups when walking up the drive. might seem like a pain but honking that horn will let you know where the dogs are! only been driving 11yrs tho!
How long do it take for package to drop off at you house
Would you be able to make a “how to use the diad” video? I’ve always wondered how they worked especially before becoming a driver myself in the near future hopefully
Thank you I’ve been looking for a video that would show me how to start the truck up for the last hr lol & finally I’ve found one thank you sir , Bless up continue to prosper on your journey an I pray I get to start mine soon with ups as a delivery driver . & PASS THE SCHOOLING PORTION WITH ATLEAST A B+ & Can get that nice uniform .
You should show how you handle different driveways/ locations
I just got an email today to start my training, Been dreaming about working for UPS for a long time, I've worked for FedEx ground and FedEx Express, Amazon prime delivery, now my dream is finally happening, I'm use to high package counts , timed delivery pickups and drop offs, and driving a bigger delivery vehicle, hard work happy customers is why I love this type of job profession .
@@BobbyFocus2008 Congrats! Good place to work. You have an amazing attitude! Do well there.
My buddy retires April 15th after 34 years at UPS and over 30 years driving.
Currently work for Amazon in Los Angeles for about a year 1/2 now. Been thinking about applying for UPS and this video right here was the convincing I needed
Once you build some seniority at UPS, you will make a six figure salary. I'm also an Amazon DSP driver currently.
@@kobyschechter8163 have an uncle who works for UPS told me the same. Also thinking about USPS for job security. Been thinking about moving out of state recently. LA costs too much now
Still with amazon? @@jrvrmxnd0
Your a beast for using the hour break in the gym 💪🏽🔥
Anyone who’s no related inside ups world and doesn’t know the reality of this work place can think what an easy job to do.
That joke you told us it was pretty funny and the dance on the gravel road had me dying 🤣 stay good brother
Hey ups driver here. I was about to say why are you done so early, then I saw 60 miles back to the center. That’s wild. I’m in PA and about 70% of the routes are rural but the farthest stop is around 35 miles from the center
This was videoed on a Monday and our Volume is super light where I’m at on Monday’s! And my route use to be a satellite route but they moved it back to the building so where I finish is usually over 60 miles from the building!
I was amazed by that myself. My route is considered rural at my building and I drive around 100 miles a day.
No matter what delivery service video I watch I never see anyone talking about pickups from home based businesses or small businesses which could add a decent amount of of new and sorting packages to a somewhat full truck an adventure.
This guy is definitely a supervisor
I do food delivery with semi truck always wanted to be a UPS driver... pretty dope seeing this
Do it!!!!!
Please keep making more of these there really entertaining and I enjoyed all of your shorts and the video definitely earned my sub and like
Thank you so much I greatly appreciate the sub! I will for sure keep making them!
@@Randywithups2 yessir ofc keep the grind up your doing good!! you have to start somewhere to end up somewhere and I feel you will make it very far in the entertainment industry no matter which platform your on! You seem like a such inspiring young adult but always remember this industry can be really hard so keep your head up king and stay driven 💯 ❤!
Thanks videos like this teach future Drivers because UPS itself teaches you very little if you want to learn something you have to look it up yourself.
I'm a ups driver out of angels camp california. We sure do get the best weather in my opinion. The best of all 4 seasons. It's crazy you have to take an hour lunch, we can take half hour
Nice video...if you could share more about how your system works and about the practices like you shared about business being closed, that would be great...I enjoyed your content...all the best from a upser!
I like your route. It’s actually driving. That’s why I signed up in the first place. I go anywhere from 20 miles for 200 stops to 50 miles for 150
Friday Adventure Club sent me and all of his fans over to see your videos ! So thank him sometime in the future. I subscribed already after that dance on the bridge!
Thank you so much very much for the support!!! Where did he share so I can go say thank you!!

Great joke Randy had a couple great chuckles on this end! :)
Did this job for about 7 months in Jersey. Wouldn't say it was my favorite experience but I was a good one
Awesome video and good vibes. Fellow UPS driver here also! Could you do a video on the Diad6? My centre switched to it a couple months ago and I’ve been on a sick leave…..back next week and would be interested to see how to use it.
Thank you so very much!! Yea absolutely I will definitely do a video over the Diad6 for sure for you!!!
@@Randywithups2 oh that would be awesome, you’re the best! Have a safe day out there.
When UPS sees this you're going to get called into the office to talk to some suits you've never met before and likely security
Ok :)
I hate to say it but he’s right. You also just taught thieves how to steal the truck by giving them a tutorial. Might want to consider deleting this video before management sees it and fires you. I know your intentions were good but just consider what I’m saying bro. Peace ✌🏼
@@Randywithups2 if anything a gun will always work no matter the time and ofc mangement dosent see you as a ghost or 2 my gawd
I would never have taken a video and posted it where supervision could see it when I worked there. It is bad enough having them come follow you around with out you helping them.
Nice Route Brother! I’m in Central California I do a 160-200 250 during peak tight Resi route quiet neighborhoods plus UPS store close out.
I’m just glad you didn’t tell that UPS, FedEx merger joke. I’ve heard that so many freaking times I just wanna scream.
You are very underrated. Love the content!
Hey thank you very much I appreciate you! Awesome videos coming out soon!!
as an amazon delivery driver. my dream is to work for ups cause they’re union! they have way less stops and double the lunch break we have! plus all the other benefits of being in a union!! (striking for better wages, having a pension, paid time off, etc. etc. ) union jobs are the best way to go!
I just got hired off the street with UPS as a driver, but i have a couple years experience as a driver with Amazon. My first day with UPS is October 4th!
How is it at ups?
60 miles from your last stop to the building is bananas. I thought 16 miles was bad lol....
Dope video I always wanted to see the POV of a UPS delivery driver 📦
An hour lunch break? Hope that's not coming our way. I drive for brown in Wisconsin. Stay safe out there brother
Thank you brother!!
Only place I’ve ever worked for where people don’t want to take their breaks. Even the paid ones. Just imagine if every driver actually took all their breaks and at the appropriate times (not at the building)
Don’t forget to scan at the door. Where I was at definitely a termination for not scanning at the door on that one. UPS “universally petty supervisors”
Lol funny I look this video up and in an Oklahoma local as well. Much love!
I work at usps and I take my road test next week. I’m used to 150-200 stops a day plus 600-700 people’s mailboxes. All while on foot. And in tbe hood. I’m so excited to work for ups. I literally hate the post office
Awesome video! Looks like fun. I've thought about getting a job either with UPS or possibly with the USPS (US Postal Service).
200-250 miles 70-80 stops dusty AF in summer cold AF in winter. Montana 12 driver. Cool vid
this guy has very good energy
I’m a driver not far from you. In fact, the western edge of your route might be the eastern edge of mine(judging by the old downtown area I saw in your video). I go out with about 170 miles a day and 125 stops. 150-200 packages. Been with the company 11 years and 9 years as a full time driver.
May I ask how much u make hourly
Do you pack your own trucks? I'm curious how they know how to pack the truck so you can find the packages quickly one you get to the address, and how they pack things in there according to your route so you're not jumping back from one side of town to the other for each delivery and keeping it streamlined.
It’s numbered. 1000-9000 after that it goes RDL (rear door left) RDR MFL(middle floor left) MFR FDR (front door right) and FDL. I work at ups
Are you required to attempt deliver at the front door when accessible? And what do you do about long rural driveways you couldn’t back out of or turn around?
sung to the beatles….“woke up got out of bed threw some packages on the steps!”
Love the day in the life video! I am exploring how to make it easier for you to access buildings with locked doors or access code that you do not have. Do you have a video which you show up and unable to enter an office or apartment building?
I’m in a smaller town so I don’t have any that I’m unable to make it in!!! Thank you so much!!!
I’m surprised you don’t get fired !
In my center if they see that we have videos of inside the truck with peoples personal info That’s it for a driver.
Good luck!
Great informative video! I am currently Active Duty Military and I plan on separating next year. I am interested in getting a full time position as a UPS delivery driver. Your video was excellent and showed what it is like on a typical day. The only jobs that I can find available near where my family and I want to move too is Part Time seasonal delivery drivers. Does UPS not typically offer full time driver positions?
Looks like a nice stop count at 10 in the morning im sure its filled with many miles. Im up in Worcester, MA do the busy city routes with the 180 190 200 daily stops inside 30 40 miles lol
How does scheduling work? How many hours typically per day? Do you get to pick your start times upon hiring? Does scheduling go by seniority? And what are the typical shift times?
Bro stop asking stupid questions 🤡. UPS is based on seniority.
I loved your UPS joke😂😂
Currently a preloader waiting to get picked up as a driver coming for them keys lol and top pay
Love it
damn your route rocks
As an Amazon driver, boy you CRAZY actually gymming on your lunch LOL. Bruh as if our 10-12 hour shifts isn't already a workout in itself. 🥴😵💫
am amazon driver too no time 4 piss not lunch lol
@@stromytubewhats piss? No time to even piss. I just implode
Very nice. Im trying to switch over to ups from amazon. Im also in oklahoma. Looks very similar to some locations i deliver too

I swear every UPS driver i see has that mustache 😂
Unstoppable guy
Thank you so much!!!
Im in nyc im gonna do a defensive driving course to see if they take the points away in my licemse and apply for a delivery driver position keep up with the videos randy
If I order a cell phone from tmobile how long till it gets to my door
Dude ive never gone out with less than 100 stops no matter how many miles the route is. Last Saturday i went out with 166 stops and 140 miles.
Thanks for the video man, informative.
Stop and complete at the front door..better for tracking
Thank you. I don’t see anything wrong with what u did. Great informative video about people looking to work at ups or ppl thinking of switching careers. It was like I was riding with u. Thanks Man. Quick question…When u start what are ur days off, or it depends on seniority? If u finish route early can u leave early and still get paid?
Hi Randy, new to your channel idea for a video..can tell us about the journey to the package car...how long did you spend in the hub loading packages.
Thanks for the idea!
your job is my dream 😢
I can't do that when I was a package car driver here in metro NY NJ thanks god I'm in Feeders now good luck 🙏
Nice!!
4:08 that’s crazy y’all get a lunch break at UPS, we don’t have one at FedEx lol
That sucks
Must work for ground lol Express makes you take one
Does that device gps show you that you are pulling up to a house that has a package in the truck? Also, how many times do you have to fill the truck up and go back out for deliveries? Thanks also a video of the scanner and how to use it would be nice
Man. That's a cake route. I can't even fit my bookbag in my truck most mornings lol.
Can you start off as a full-time delivery driver? I read that it takes a long time to become full-time. Super appreciative of these videos as someone who is considering a major career change!
I hear they transfer from current employees. Like you start at the warehouse and then they will hire the part timers as drivers
It’s 3? To one, 3 insiders then a outsider. Honestly you gotta learn the culture and see if this is the job for you, so starting inside is the way to go
The intro = 🏆
Shout out RCPD from Virginia! Be safe bro!
59 miles away!? I thought my route was far at 13 miles away! Holy cow!
Awesome video. I drive step vans for Amazon. I wish I could do it for UPS but getting a driver spot where I live is like winning the lottery
That’s awesome thanks for sharing that!! Well I believe in you keep checking daily on ups-jobs that’s where all the postings will be!!
Driver out of Florida here. Your route looks way too chill lol, gonna bid for that shit next time!
that blows you have to take a lunch in va we have to put it 30 min lunch or take if we want
Nice!!
Do you pack your truck? When do you clock in and when do you typically clock out? 5 days a week stuff?
Hey bud gotta say I love how you post your life as a ups driver just to help a little more better, I said that because I currently work at ups and I live in Oklahoma as well. What part of Oklahoma do you live?
I work in an Amazon warehouse and it sucks. Getting paid pocket change with zero benefits until they switch you over to full time which could take forever. Do I need to start in a warehouse at ups and move my way up to driver or can I apply for one immediately?
I got hired on straight into driving so I think it just depends on your area and if their hiring!
Make more i just got in the list to become a driver im currently loader in ups
This is awesome you got it!!
AN HOUR LUNCH BREAK? . . . i wonna take an hour lunch
work as a amazon driver, we only got 30 minute lunch and two 15 minute breaks, apparently we arent allowed to just stack them all into one long break
That’s wild! Yeah we have to code a hour break and we can split it up however we want to!
Awe yes the beautiful post office route everyone wants😂
I had to pause the video. Not wven half way through yet. But, did anyone else get the thought of "wow! Its super easy to steal a UPS truck. Might not want to just go chucking that out to the public😅❤
How do u know which packages to take first? Is there someone that makes a system and you make a map? I used to work in the film industry and the delivery guys were so important to us! They made sure we could run our business because we were in movie distribution and had actual film reels that needed to go places all over the world and in time. It was my fav part of the day when delivery guy came.
Each address has a specific number that lets you which shelf it is located on and how many to look for.
So what time do you go in everyday at? I think on the video you stated at 10:00am? Is that your start time everything?
How do you navigate and know where the stops are. At FedEx we use ground cloud which shows them all on a map which is handy
There’s a thing called a cradle which holds our scanner and it’s a gps!
