My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first UA-cam channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!

You can also offer your condo unit to foreigners because foreigners can legally buy and sell condo units.

Definitely love the unit. Cozy and comfy😍. Maximized space and functionality. I've been trying and praying to overcome my fear of heights🤔😇- then everything would be perfect, a home with a great view😎.

Dont sell Mikee... its in a prime location. Just rent it out. I for one rents a condo whenever I go home in Philippines from LA so that I am close to the mall and saves me money and time from traffic. DONT SELL!

That is a pretty smart move to invest in real estate. If you are looking for a "second" farm. You might want to consider checking here in Rizal. You'll get it in a much cheaper price and the view is gorgeous. I am hoping you can visit our famous spots here. 😉

I'm glad you're selling. A lot of people just rent out or Air BnB them to make money, when there are tons of families students and single people looking and needing housing. The more people selling, or if needing to rent, renting at a fair affordable fixed rate is really whats needed. To many people just want to make money get people into a renting contract and up teh rates every year or two because its an income to them, and not where someone is living their life. I really appreciate all the decisions you make in thinking of others!!!

Yes. The other vlogger stayed in the other unit before it wa sold.

If you don't have to sell it for the new house, maybe use the proceeds to buy the lot next to your new place!
Just a thought -
Keeping your condo and renting it out as a vacation rental or to long-term tenants would offer you a form of passive income which would help create more cash flow for your new farm!
Since you’ve already emotionally prepared to part with it, that may help you to consider allowing tenants to use the space on your behalf? Taking the emotion out of your real estate decisions will definitely help to increase your income!
Of course, selling it would give you a large lump sum of cash but it would be finite whereas being a landlord would help you to diversify your income while sustaining another stream of cash flow. I bet that if you ran the numbers on your potential for annual income from this property, you probably wouldn’t be disappointed 😎
You may also have other reasons to sell that we’re not aware of, and if that’s the case, no judgement here! All love and support to you Mikey 🙏🏼

24 square meters is ~260 square feet. Are all condos in the building that size?
That size is for studios and small one bedroom units. Two bedroom units are around 40 - 50 square meters for old condos but smaller for newer condos.
That condo is for students and singles who are just starting their career. Of course there are condos in that building with bigger floor area.
Where is the condo and were you live now
Well Mikey it’s very cold at 5 in the morning when getting ready for work in Brampton now so the envy goes to u for that hot climate.

I'm not ready to retire yet... but when I do I've thought of moving out of the US. Many I know have become expats in Mexico. The costs are lower and better climate... cheaper health care. There are expat communities there as well that have nice amenities and security. How are the costs in the Philippines? Since I spent my early childhood there... wouldn't it be great to retire there?!!!

@@MikeyBustosVLOGS My dad served in the Air Force 21 years. The Philippines was my first home outside of the US. We lived in a little house off base that my dad bought. We also had a lady that helped my mom and was kind of my nanny. I spoke a combo of Tagalog and English... sadly I lost that but would love to pick it up again. I still love pancit and other foods from there that my nanny introduced me to. I have a few teachers here that I mentor that are from the Philippines and they keep me supplied! *lol* My mom LOVED going to the street markets and bargaining. I had some gorgeous handmade dresses made there. Mom also loved gardening and sightseeing so we traveled all over. I remember going to one public garden that had terraces (maybe in the mountains?) and the elderly head gardener took time to teach me a silly little dance I can still do. 🤣My red hair always attracted attention there and in Japan. Such friendly people!!! I think I would like it more than Mexico.
TheBioExplorer ... Take a 3-4 month sojourn to test the waters. Rent an apartment if needed then decide if the country and culture is for you or not. In the Philippines, I recommend to begin in November and end in early March, just enough to escape the cold winter months. Although, most festivals fall in the very hot months of April and May.

We got very used to taking off our shoes in Guam. I think the tile floors and tracking in dirt played a big part in that and not wanting to bring germs in from our adventures. Now we do it to try and save the carpet from dirt. I do wear my flip flips all the time though. Helps the feet not ache on tile or hard floors.
