You can use a intercom system instead of walkie talkies. My neighbor has a huge house with cabins outside and there is a old intercom system to talk to each other.
Mikey just a thought, it may be a good idea to build a double door on one of the side walls of your future ant room that open to the outside. It can serve as entry/exit for your terrariums and whatnot. Then you don’t have to go through the house and up/down the stairs, specially if they are big items. Can also serve as emergency fire exit just in case.
If you're doing a smart home. You can use an Alaex system to communicate. But I'd recommend hook speakers into the home and do a push to talk system like some older mansions have.
I agree with your opinion on your corner on where the Christmas tree should be! I think that corner is big enough for that especially if that Christmas tree is quite big! Now I wonder where your Christmas decorations will be put up, in case you'll be in the farmhouse by Christmas 2021? I'm also curious as to which room you will be holding Birthday parties in?
Main Christmas tree should be at the main stair..for photo..fits a group picture where they can use the stair..fits the saying also that blessings comes in n out of heaven when angels goes up n down..easier to dress the tree..etc..

The house I grew up in was big and we had things on the wall that connects the rooms so we just pushed a button to talk.. im sure there are much more modern things now... Another thing you might find helpful will be laundry chutes. Depending on where your laundry room is. We always add them to our multi story homes.
Alexa can be used as an intercom! But you should just get a regular intercom system; it will work better. 🎄🎄🎄first thing we did when we moved from our tiny old house (where we only had a 1 foot mini tree) was get a big tall Christmas tree!

I like a Christmas tree centered in front of a window, so that it looks good outside too. I would just use phones and Alexa. Every friend that had an intercom in their house had issues with it, or they stopped working. Then again, tech has improved a lot since then. The benefit of using phones instead is that they come with you. My kids and I texted each other in my small house, pluses there’s a written documentation of the convo. 😂 it’s nice to have an in wall sound/speaker system, though. It’s great for music, podcasts, etc...there are tankless water heaters.

As far as the trees go you could decorate them in different themes. Like have a formal tree, a gold and silver tree....EVEN A BIRD themed tree!! Happy National Home-Made Soup Day! For me, it’s going to be Creamy Tomato Soup. I have a super trick, I use my Vitamix Blender, I put in all the ingredients and it zips everything up, super smooth and… it even heats it up (friction of the blades) so I can just pour into a bowl (my secret here is a big gloop of Garlic Cream Cheese in the bowl that melts when the hot soup pours into it). RJ should check out getting a Vitamix for the new kitchen… it’s awesome (and makes frozen drinks like a pro among tons of other things). OMG, I did the very same thing when I bought my house, where can I put my Christmas Tree… ? I really love watching you “dream” as all this comes together, I’m so very happy for you both. My home is pretty much “Apple-Centric” (Siri with a very sexy Australian Man voice ;) ). I use HomePods in each room which can also be an intercom and, it includes people’s phones and you can communicate with them regardless where they are. My home is very small but using the intercom feature I can communicate with my family, even those in LA and Idaho. I like to torment my Niece in LA when I cook steak, “Hey Siri! Let Jessica know that the Rib Eye is ready”… LOL. So, yea, walkie-talkies are kind of old-school… I control my lights with the Philips Hue system and it’s controlled by Siri (or my phone) for the whole house. I even have it setup so when I’m coming home from an errand there is a location based trigger that turns on lights (including the color that I like) when I get close to home. My thermostat is also part of this setup so I can conserve energy when I’m not home. I’m loving the idea of your “Master Spa” area, there are window treatments that can make it one-way view… so the outside can’t see ya’ll naked on the inside and, you can get it so its controllable (even from Siri or Alexa). Have you looked into the Tankless water heaters (hot water on demand). I first had this when I lived in Argentina, you can take a hot shower and never run out of hot water. hey, Mikey maybe a catch show and release program is an idea for the ant/ pets room /ants Canada channel, for instance, you have a creek flowing on your property well you could catch some of the local critters and show them in an aquarium set up for this and film for the channel you might be surprised what insects and fish might be in there. you can also set some humane small traps out maybe with a cockroach inside to see what small and probably reptilian predator ends up in it and after the showing and filming the creatures they all get released back to the wild. I think that would be a nice new interesting series on the ants Canada channel.
What about intercom system? You can still run the wire at this stage. I also noticed or missed it, where is the washer/dryer area or you’re going old school labandera style? 😀
U can use Amazon Alexa or google home as an intercom system around a property. I uses it in my large house. They are really effective. Hope this helps :)
You should save that huge piece of wood after it gets cut. Could be useful for the aviary and for the pond. Those wood on the ground still look salvageable as well. And that spider you found is a Huntsman Spider. It's the same species of large spider that routinely wanders inside houses to look for prey and hiding places. We actually leave them alone when we find them inside the house because they'll help eradicate these pesky cockroaches. I have seen specimens that have a leg-span as wide a child's hand.

Alrighty then...IF it becomes a problem later on down the road that you have more than cows seeing your nakedness, after the house is completed, and you don't want to redo that glass wall, there is such a thing as sheet style stained glass vinyl that you can apply easily as sort of a wainscoting feature for modesty without causing damage to your glass.
Wow crazy in the comments, I would avoid Alexa, go intercom and walkie talkies both, walkie have distance too if out running , I have used both. (LOL, you guys will probably use all three...lol) Plus used walkie at work. You have time to work about where xmas tree goes. Might want to think about borrowing a goat(s) to cut the foliage down and back for a bit. Was looking at the space in the inspiration wall, if you put lattice up in from of wall in raised bed garden thing, was seeing perfect spot for okra, snap peas, beans, yeah, focused on food, cookie was delicious btw, thanks.......lol, waiting for dessert dunking in cyper coffee....lol mornings it the biokubo(spelling?) Also invest in google nest cameras or ring or simplisafe i have simplisafe for doorbell camera and the entire house i got 6 cameras its only 21$ monitoring here in the US also have a powerful router to run the smart devices and smart home ish and cameras u need fast internet to run those devices and for all your inline stuff editing uploading and all the other ish may i suggest eero pro 6 ax42000 router its siiiick and fast.....hey mikey u can do all this smart stuff on ypur own u dont need to hire its all plug and play even with alexa and google and the cameras all plug and play eazy peazy homes. Mikey wear your mask properly. Mikey make your house managers stay in the property and the driver should go home after work. Mikey just find a vet near your place. It is a good thing to make the area into an intellectual area, but make sure there is enough space for everything not just people. Mikey use an intercoms. I’m not pro smart houses because a lot of maintenance will be involve, but it is up to you. Mikey do you have an engineer on site not just a structural engineer so he can explain more. I’m not pro glass walls, but it is how modern designs are made. I prefer walls and windows. If it is to see a portion of the house that is cool like a garden then maybe 1 or 2, but it might look amazing though. Mikey what if the branch grows back or not grow at all? Mikey you should made the pool a bit bigger so you can also exercise or accommodate more people. Just saying. It depends what needs to be prioritized. Be very careful with outfitting the house with smart devices. Do not put them under the same network that communicates to the Internet. Connect them in an entirely separate network that is closed off to the outside if possible. Otherwise it will be much easier to hack around. You should really hire an expert in IT maintenance and security.
Intercom will be beneficial and incorporates music with it. Security Cameras and lights are really very important.

Combination of intercom & walkie-talkies. Buy a couple of the latter for those staff outside the house. For those left inside, intercom will do.

Alrighty then...IF it becomes a problem later on down the road that you have more than cows seeing your nakedness, after the house is completed, and you don't want to redo that glass wall, there is such a thing as sheet style stained glass vinyl that you can apply easily as sort of a wainscoting feature for modesty without causing damage to your glass.

Wow crazy in the comments, I would avoid Alexa, go intercom and walkie talkies both, walkie have distance too if out running , I have used both. (LOL, you guys will probably use all three...lol) Plus used walkie at work. You have time to work about where xmas tree goes. Might want to think about borrowing a goat(s) to cut the foliage down and back for a bit. Was looking at the space in the inspiration wall, if you put lattice up in from of wall in raised bed garden thing, was seeing perfect spot for okra, snap peas, beans, yeah, focused on food, cookie was delicious btw, thanks.......lol, waiting for dessert dunking in cyper coffee....lol mornings it the biokubo(spelling?) And the roof deck, and at the pool. I would be mesmerized in the ANT(pet, lol) room. Can't wait to see the from above view of the ants. Birds eye view, soaring over them, can you fly a drone in in there. Or the again habitat. Will you be raising crickets and roaches for them or trapping out door pray. So much to look forward too. I think RJ might become relaxed enough to learn to swim, or at least float with the new pool. I am just excited on all your possibilities, ignore me- and the crazy haters and weird posters, oh ask RJ to share all his favorite things he is looking forward to cook. What is house manager (Elsie) looking forward to...it is big place to look after, will you have tech like Rumbas to make her job easier, cant wait to see the tech with the pool system...just do much. RJ needs an Instapot to make you easy cheese cakes.. lol, you could get so fat eating all the home cooked meals. I forgot why you stopped eating tilapia but I can't wait to see RJ cooking fish. Ok silly soap box, but so proud of you getting this far.. more fun to come. It is going to be awesome content as well as new living with in the new normal. Mikey you dont need intercom with google and alexa u can broadcast or do announcements throughout the house both platforms has the capabilities also if u gave google or alexa it can also control all lights and electronic stuf and do voice commands its super cool inhave both alexa and google here at my home in Cincinnati. Also invest in google nest cameras or ring or simplisafe i have simplisafe for doorbell camera and the entire house i got 6 cameras its only 21$ monitoring here in the US also have a powerful router to run the smart devices and smart home ish and cameras u need fast internet to run those devices and for all your inline stuff editing uploading and all the other ish may i suggest eero pro 6 ax42000 router its siiiick and fast.....hey mikey u can do all this smart stuff on ypur own u dont need to hire its all plug and play even with alexa and google and the cameras all plug and play eazy peazy homes. Holler at me in fb msgr
U can do echo flex for the bathrooms so u can have alexa in all bathrooms news weather music or what ever, as for lights feit electric or phillips smart lights all are google and alexa enable plug and play errrthang u can set diff colors for ambience and mood settings, u can also do voice command for your tv’s you just need a harmony hub for voice command
U can have alexa and google do routines for ya, keep a list for groceries etc etc etc very useful for my family of 6
Good thing with google u can also use it in your car if your ride has google car play, I personally use apple car play, but my wifey uses google android carplay on her ride

Mikey I don’t think a 10ft Christmas tree can fit there unless you will leave the steel decking and pipes. Mikey you are correct you should think ahead, but not too ahead. Mikey wear your mask properly. Mikey make your house managers stay in the property and the driver should go home after work. Mikey just find a vet near your place. It is a good thing to make the area into an intellectual area, but make sure there is enough space for everything not just people. Mikey use an intercoms. I’m not pro smart houses because a lot of maintenance will be involve, but it is up to you. Mikey do you have an engineer on site not just a structural engineer so he can explain more. I’m not pro glass walls, but it is how modern designs are made. I prefer walls and windows. If it is to see a portion of the house that is cool like a garden then maybe 1 or 2, but it might look amazing though. Mikey what if the branch grows back or not grow at all? Mikey you should made the pool a bit bigger so you can also exercise or accommodate more people. Just saying. It depends what needs to be prioritized. Tomorrow’s vlog is either about the commercial or the ad. I would prefer to remove the trees close to the house especially the big one if it doesn’t fit the area or it blocks the house to much.
if you have multiple Alexa's you can ask alexa to make announcements throughout the house house

Be very careful with outfitting the house with smart devices. Do not put them under the same network that communicates to the Internet. Connect them in an entirely separate network that is closed off to the outside if possible. Otherwise it will be much easier to hack around. You should really hire an expert in IT maintenance and security.
