I haven't touched doctor who too much in recent years after being obsessed with it as a kid, but this channel has helped me fall back in love with it and remember why I love it so much. It's even convinced me to watch classic doctor who as well, I had only seen odd episodes when I was younger. Thank you DAVIS, I look forward to every video.
I always wondered why Shakespeare goes from slap head to full head of hair when The Chase Shakespeare sequence is set before the Shakespeare code.....The most logical answer is, naturally, that the one in the chase is the original Shakespeare and the later one is a time displaced Richard III. It’s so obvious when you think about it.
DAVIS, my dear DAVIS...this video would almost inevitably have gotten a 'like', because your videos almost inevitably do. But this time...this time, it was premature. 6:41 Oh you think that's bad? In Doctor Who Magazine issue ???, Moffat wrote Missy being a couple with Ainley's Master, kids and all, in the qna section.
Talk about self love being taken to a whole new level... That said however which Incarnation hypnotises which???? Does age come before 'beauty' or does 'beauty' come before age?
@@nightowl8477 Ah right, I'll explain. I'm from the UK and over at my end there is a saying 'age before beauty' which means that older people are supposed to come before younger people. Nowadays, sadly we no longer really practice this custom (but to be fair, this isn't entirely without justification, much as my own view regarding defending oneself against women who attempt to assault you, far from ideal, but sadly we don't live in an ideal world, thus in the case of older people who may also be jerks should be put in their place and any women who may just so happen to try and assault or mug me will get exactly the same kind of treatment that a man would get if he tried to mug or assault me, but I digress...) but often the term is used when an old person needs a seat on a bus or a train because they cannot stand up for long periods. The joke that I made relates to the fact (at least within the Multi Whoinvse) that the Ainley Master is 'younger' than the Missy Master who is 'older'. Much like how the First Doctor is 'younger' than the Tenth Doctor who is 'older' regardless of the ages of the actors who played each respective Incarnations, Tenant is supposed to have portrayed the Doctor at a later stage of his life than Hartnell did. While beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder, in my view the actress who played the Missy Incarnation looks a lot like a witch (which I think is the whole idea...) therefore the inverted commas. Thus the bottom line is did the 'younger' Master do Missy's bidding or did the 'older' Master (Missy) order her 'younger' self around. In my book, I think Missy wore the pants in their relationship and the Ainley Master grumbled a little bit, but still submitted to his older self's whims, just as he did with the Rani. Happy Times and Places.
I'm getting Dexter vibes from the opening. Also no wonder you couldn't guess your dad's political spectrum. How Tory are the Silurians? I demand a video

The way I explain all those different accounts of Sheakspeare to myself is just assuming the time splinters off in different directions, and those different directions have different Doctors, but he can also sometimes dip between those. That's also how TFWiki explains contradictory transformers stories, everything is canon, but confined to it's own timeline, which I think is a healthy way to separate all those comics, and movies, and novels and stuff. That's also how I explain to myself how in RTD's tenure everybody knows about aliens, but then in Chib's tenure, Graham says aliens don't exist. My favorite showrunner's world remains unsullied by anyone but himself. But seriously, I really dislike how RTD put a lot of effort into worldbuilding, and then Steven and Chris came and where like "No, I want my humans to not know about aliens". I thought RTD's world is much cooler.
Ever thought about a Broke Canon Series with another Lore? Even just for a one-off. These Videos are great, one of my favourite watches during lockdown :)
I'm definitely poking around with the idea of applying other series to the format, even if it's just one episode per franchise, I just worry it's very similar to the series I did before Broke Canon...and that it might sink the channel.

The history of humanity in the Doctor Who universe is strange and confusing. @Najawin Erm no? No it really isnt. Not for what he did. What does that even mean? He doesn't know what she looked like and eventually he'll get even that back. I can see how it would be upsetting if she was still dead, memories of a deceased love one are important and if you lose stuff like how they looked or sounded that can be distressing. But she's alive. I don't buy that he came away from Hell Bent in more pain than when we went it so it doesn't sell the consequences.
