I would love the wok to try some of your stir fry recipes and more! I'm still using a non-stick pan flat-bottomed and have been looking for an excuse to start using a wok instead. It would really help me change up my breakfast and dinner routines. :)

That is so smart about putting freshly fried things on a bed of puffed noodles to prevent pooling oil and sogginess!! I have seen that a few times and assumed it was for aesthetics, but it totally serves a purpose too. Genius.

Mandy, watching you grow from a small fledgling channel of 22 subs to now at over 1 million subs, I feel like a mother proud of her child that has grown into a success. I knew your channel would grow fast because the way you teach how to cook Chinese cuisine you make it easy to understand, and you educate us culturally about each dish. I want to wish you 祝你多成功, and hope you get your wish of 3 million more subscribers :)
My favorite product are the chopsticks. They are so pretty and I would feel so elegant using them while I eat :)

Yes…Chinese New year’s family dinners are massive! Lots of preparation, some of us have to take vacation days to get this done. And the spring cleaning …it is a process. This right after I do Christmas in Dec for two set of families. Hardly any time to rest before we cook Chinese New Year’s dinner.
Then I don’t want to cook massive dinner until May for Mother’s Day . We need that break …some months. Bbq season is whole lot easier for me.

My family and I love to eat with chopsticks. We are Americans of African descent and Palestinian. My brother and sister-in-love are teaching my sushi loving nephew how to use chopsticks. He's only three years old! We have a mish mash of Chinese chopsticks that are warped from the dishwasher, a couple of Japanese style, but three are missing, and some random, wooden restaurant chopsticks that get lost in the back of the drawer and give us splinters in our hands. I've been admiring your set since you introduced them. I love how easily you pick up and ear all of your food even with arthritis. I pray it goes away and you have no more pain and stiffness.

One thing I must say about this young lady...SHE KNOWS HOW TO COOK SOME REALLY GOOD AUTHENTIC CANTONESE DISHES!!!
I love using your wok to cook dishes I created following your recipes.
I think your clay pot would've came in very handy when I attempted to follow a Jamaican curry short rib recipe the other day. I do not have a crock pot or anything similar and the dish didn't turn out that great using a regular pot.

I started cooking Chinese food a few around a year ago and since finding your channel it’s become a weekly thing, every week I choose one of your recipes and I am in awe every time. Here in Finland we don’t have the Chinese take-out culture like in other countries so good Chinese food is quite expensive and only found in high end restaurants, this channel has pretty much been the resolution to that.. I think the Souped Up recipes carbon steel wok would be a pretty substantial upgrade to my poor non stick pan that’s been the backbone thus far when cooking all of your recipes, thank you for existing and happy Chinese New Year!!

With the pandemic going on I've order ingredients and have learned to make healrhier dishes I loved and new dishes to share with family. Your videos are very detailed and easy to follow. I did use store bought wrappers though since it was my first time making them so I blame the wrappers mostly. lol! I can't wait to try some of the techniques from your video! You explained the process for each style so well I feel pretty confident about trying some of them when I make dough for the first time next time I make them. I love the clay pot! I love all the products! If I have to pick one, I would love to get the wok as I do not have one of my own and being that yours is carbon steal, i think it is the best kind of material to use for wok. Something I can hand down to my children and they can hand down to theirs and so forth.
I love the metal spatula that comes with it and how the handle is bent for easier stir frying and scooping motion. The way the spatula is shaped will allow it to double as spoon-like so I'll be able to even scoop soups and all the last juices of stir fry out of the wok without having to dirty another utensil. Because it's metal, it also makes it easy to slice things or break things apart directly in the wok if need be.
The lid will be perfect to steam dumplings with and the spout makes it so convenient to pour without or with less dripping down the sides of the wok. I love how the wok is per-seasoned and ready to use so a carbon steel wok noob like myself can't mess up the seasoning process or accidentally make it look ugly and/or dirty.
    PLEASE CHOOSE ME!!!!! >_

Happy New Year, year of the tiger! When I was young, my mom would cook a lot of dishes for Chinese New Year. She is 96 years old and has Alzheimer’s and no longer cooks. I tried to keep up the tradition as best as I could. I like to cook different dishes to keep dinner from being boring. This video is giving me a lot dishes to try since I cook mostly Cantonese, Shanghainese and western dishes. Thank you not just for this video but your other videos as well. I discovered your channel a few months ago and have been hooked. I have tried several of your recipes. My latest attempt was the Sheng Jian Bao. It was delicious, but I definitely need more practice folding the dough to form the bao.
I think the clay pot is beautiful and versatile. It would be great for soups and casseroles. I think I could use it to bake bread as well. I would love to have it to add to my cooking equipments.
Have a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year. Kung Hei Fat Choy. Keep the videos coming. 😊

PS: In a pinch, Mindy, when you want to do a whole fish, instead of cutting up the whole fish, I get away with, using a rack and platter, over steaming boiling water in a roasting pan, in the oven at 350F, sealed with foil or silicon lid. Works well enough. 🌹阖家欢乐,生活美满:Wish you a happy family and happy life!

Xing nian kuai le, wan shi ru yi! I absolutely loved the video. it brought back memories of my childhood in Singapore, where i have not visited for over 30 years. My uncles married Chinese women, (one of them was even my beloved Mandarin tutor!)and i learned about the Chinese culture while studying Mandarin since the age of 4 years until I finished school there at age 17 years, and miss it around me. I even had the chance to experience a reunion dinner with one of my friends at the age of 7 years, and at the time, could not appreciate how much work went into it, but learned in my later years how intense the prep and cooking was. I miss receiving my hong baos from my aunts, even though they were only symbolic and not really filled with much. You’ve won me over with subscription. I love how you patiently teach with explanations of why you do things. Keep it up.
By the way, i am not entering the contest. I just wanted to add my comment. I’ll leave the lovely prizes for others to garner. Lots of luck to them.

I would like the clay pot because I have a carbon steel wok that I've had for over 30 years. Also it looks very beautiful and of high quality. I have enjoyed listening to souped up recipes for several years. Before that I couldn't cook Chinese food. Watching the wonton soup video which involves drying and grinding up a flounder was incredible. I would have just added some wontons and green onions to some chicken broth. After watching one of the videos on what to buy at an Asian grocery store, I went to one for the first time. I was so excited, I neglected to get a basket and was carrying so much I dropped a 32 ounce bottle of black vinegar and a 32 ounce bottle of dark soy sauce. Fortunately it was during Covid and I was masked. But they were very nice and didn't act annoyed as you would think considering that those two items are probably the worst thing to spill. Definitely drop a bottle of Shaoxing Wine if you have a choice. Thanks and keep the videos coming. John

It is so difficult to find an affordable clay pot where I live, that clay pot would make my kitchen complete. I own your wok already and I use it constantly, it's the only wok I will ever need. You're new clay pot has the most beautiful lid, I'm absolutely in love with it. I would love to finally try all of your clay pot recipes! 🥰

Hello Wendy, this Karen from the Philippines. I love your channel and and I have learned to cook some chinese dishes from you. I would love to have the carbon steel wok so i can continue to learn from you and cook for my large family and friends. I missed my mom’s cooking and watching your shows reminds me of the dishes made by her which I was not able to replicate as she died early. So thank you for your channel.

I would be so grateful to receive the Wok. Ever since I started watching your videos I have been cooking your recipes weekly. I have learned so much and have become very comfortable cooking Chinese food. I love your Stir Frys and Hot and Sour Soup especially. I have a Wok but it is not a high quality one. I feel that by using your Wok I could get even better results from your recipes. I am literally wearing out my Wok. Please continue to share your videos with us. They are so easy to follow. I look forward to learning more about your cooking processes, recipes and ingredients. Respectfully, Barbara Rawdon

I would be interested in the wok please, given how durable and seemingly light weight it looks, would be interesting to try it out to reduce the stress on my arms and wrist.
Thanks so much for the video on prepping a whole CNY course, it really helps allow people to realize the efforts and care that put into it especially if its by one person. I hope you had an amazing CNY and I had just gotten around the time to watch over the video, it was very insightful in terms of planning the dishes as well.

Fantastic video!! I feel like I could do it all myself but your suggestion at the end about family members helping gave me a sigh of relief, cooking alone for that much food is serious work, especially for something I’ve never tried to make 😅
Hard to pick between the clay pot and the wok, I have a wok already but it’s so old it’s becoming bare, and I use a dutch oven similarly to the clay pot. I think the clay pot would definitely function differently, though, and my husband is a big fan of soups more than stir fry, so I’ll have to pick the clay pot! And it is stunningly beautiful to boot.

Happy New Year, Mandy! What a wonderful video!
My wife and I would love to add your beautiful clay pot to our collection. We grabbed one of your woks went they were first released, and they completely revolutionised our cooking! Our previous wok was a heavy one from a German brand, it is was so heavy and thick it never came up to heat. With your wok, Green Beans and Pork Mince, Xiao Long Bao, and your wonderful chilli oil have become staples! We even call our chilli oil 'Lu Bu', because it's so hot-headed!
For Christmas in 2021 I picked up a box of your wonderful chopsticks (with the blue trim) as a gift for my wife. I had to give them to her early, as we were planning a feast of your recipes for some friends (pot stickers, pork and beans, and dan dan noodles), and we had to use your chopsticks to make them special. They were absolutely her favourite gift, and we've used them four times a week ever since!
We've been discussing for a long time that the next dish we need to master is Red Braised Pork. As soon as we saw your clay pot, we thought that it looked absolutely ideal!

I have been using your wok for a couple years now and still love it. I'm very happy to see that you have worked hard to bring us other products that you think your audience would find useful. Your ceramic chopsticks are beautiful, especially the blue peony design, and I would love to own a set. I currently have plastic chopsticks and find that they are too slippery. I think these ceramic chopsticks would not only look stunning but also better functioning than plastic. Happy new year Mandy!
