This video deserves an Oscar. For one person to prepare this entire feast is mind boggling and my hats off to you! What an amazing feat. I never knew Chinese cooking involved this much work and preparation. My mouth was watering the entire time. Incredible. You are a true professional. I can never look at a fast food Chinese restaurant again and believe I’m getting the very best of Chinese cooking! Amazing!

What I like most is ... that even some videos are very long... I do not get tired of them... Captures my attention completely. I watch it from the begining to the end (the first time), the second I take notes. usially do my "shopping list"... the third one is just before I start cooking (just in case I missed a thing)... and then I try it. The second time I cook the same recipe... well I just change it... I am not as perfectionist as Mandy... and could sacrifice a little bit of texture if needed (such as dehydrating the chicken twice... I thing is too much for me! haha) ...

Well said! Always wondering, why the vids are pretty engaging. Ah! It's because the explanation given behind each of the actions being done. Also, it is beautiful how the chinese food is being named and how the name is explained in pronunciation, writings and so on. Very rich! Like literally and connotatively, because the menu will have gold, jade, pearls, gems and everything. "So, what're u having for dinner?" "Some jade and gold! (choy sum and potatoes)." When we think we're rich, food on the table are also treasures. People of wonder! Beautiful! The bitter melon boat has a very uplifting meaning too, thanks!

Happy Chinese New Year!! As an American-born Chinese person, I've always just known recipes and dishes by taste but not how to make them. Your channel has been a godsend in learning to cook the food I grew up with!! The one-pot chicken noodle soup (with the broth hack) has been a college student's lifesaver, and the various stir-fries have really helped me get familiar with cooking. Thanks for a wonderful few years, and here's to the next!

Hi Mandy, I am watching from Suriname. Actually I love all your dishes but my favorite s the hakka stoffen tofu. As my grandfather was also Hakka. Unfortunately he died when I was only 4 years old so I did not have much time with him. Although I am just a little more than 25% Chinese, I am obsessed with the Chinese culture and cuisine. Each week I try out 1 of the recipes and I can't remember how many times I made the sesame chicken and the stuffed tofu. 😂 I love the way you always explain everything, so I can learn more about the culture. Thank you for that!

If there’s one part of Chinese cooking that I love and have a hard time making, it’s sauces. But after watching your video on Dumpling Sauce, which was so simple a child could do it, I finally got the right ingredients to get the taste I was looking for. Hi Mandy, I have always loved all your videos but the 1 video which I make most often is "BETTER THAN TAKEOUT AND EASY - Egg Fried Rice Recipe " from the awesome "Better than takeout and easy " series. This series is my go to after a hard day at work. I have made almost all of the recipes from this series and warm my soul in this freezing Canadian winter! Happy New Year and thank you!!🌻

My husband can't take spicy food, so it's my little personal pleasure. Thank you for making Chinese cooking so accessible - I'm a better cook because of you!

Hi Mandy, Happy New Year! I only started cooking for my family of 5 when we moved to the US 2 years ago. They are used to having 三菜一汤 so I’m always looking for dinner ideas. I learnt so many ideas and tips from you, especially how to prepare for a big 团圆饭 from your previous videos. I tried preparing and steaming the fish the way you taught and it tasted like my Cantonese mother-in-law’s. This is what my children miss! Now not only do I cook for my family, I also have greater confidence hosting my friends for a delicious Chinese dinner. Thank you!
