Watching Silas skate is always a treat, he's so good but in such a relaxed and down to earth way. It's great to learn more about him as a person, and cool to see that way he lives matches is exactly what I expected. Very inspiring. 🍃
This is the greatest a person can dream of. You did great family wise. You sure can skate. The outdoors the farm everything's perfect! Glad for you dude. Have a good one. Artsy too! Damn:) From Craig. UK. Dark, cold nights drawing in...
@@cobgotswag same right now. Normally I snowboard in winter but there’s no snow yet so I’m stuck at home. Idk where you are in the UK but I skated at south bank in London in December when it was raining. Not too cold and it’s dry and covered.
Yeah, it was a really crazy part. I used to skate there and it’s so rough and crusty. Honestly, most pros would struggle to even get one trick worth filming there.
Oregon legend!! Represents the state and people from the state so well! Would be a huge honor to skate with him! Meet him once and was such a cool dude!
Dudes from Oregon are so humble! Silas is a great example! Also for those who watch football, Justin Herbert is another example! Both of them are from Eugene, OR too.
homie literally came to my shitty ass town, got 2 tricks on a crusty knobbed rail that no one skated, and bounced out. the clips ended up in origin. what a hero.
Sitting watching this and my cat Silas jumps in my lap and watches his namesake skate. I named him Silas Baxter Neal after the “Habitat: Origin” part dropped. So nasty. Much love SBN 💪
Architecture wise this makes me remember of the old Vale do Anhangabau, done by Rosa Kliass, which has these geometric elements that made the spot really skateable and an iconic place in Sao Paulo
Mad respect for growing your own food. I grow some traditionally grown food that my tribe would of grown in the 1600s and 1700s but I'm limited to pots.
Genuine dude. His old private PDX park was in the same building as my business so used to watch everyone skate, all our kids would play together back there, great scene.
Shut up Silas, you deserved that SOTY 100%. Those habitat parts were amazing! Sick trick selection and very unique style. Don’t downplay, you earned it!
I was getting pumpkins at a farm with my kids and saw a cute young family on the hay wagon, the dad looked super familiar but couldn't place him. Realized later that it was Silas. Keep ripping and eating well buddy!
absolutely sick video. the soundtrack is underrated as hell. tried finding the nick andre guy for like 30 minutes, these songs are nowhere to be found :(
A true Northwestern guy. I’m from Portland and have a bunch of homies that live like this. He ain’t lying about the water though, it’s actually way better for you than bottled water because of all the minerals.
4:00 Sorry but this is some sanctimonious BS. Industrial farming has bought billions of people out of poverty around the world and although it's bad to create unnecessary plastic waste, there still isn't a more cost effective way to store and transport food to stores than to use plastic. It's all well and good seeing it from a rich western point of view but sometimes you need to consider the wider world.
But if you have the ability to live this way it is a great thing. Healthy for his family and the planet. I don’t think he was trying to put anyone down. Also you should read My Ishmael by Daniel Quinn, it may change your perception that of food and the world in general.
I ran into Silas at the new northbend park in wa. He was with anti hero and everyone was extremely cocky cool guy type except for Silas and another random w them.. sucked cuz I liked anti hero a lot till that moment. But was cool to tell Silas that he was at my home parks opening in Veneta Oregon before I even started skating. I was like 7 What a wild life. And he also skated more than everybody besides Julian who was dinkin around by himself in the little street zone. A real skateboarder.

It’ll be hard to hear him through his double mask though
@@ScrotumTingle lol, ya. He's a smart guy, and very talented you can tell. It's just a shame him and his children are scared and living in fear.
That recent vid he did in that crusty plaza was a masterpiece.

Some wise words throughout this piece! Silas is an absolute LEGEND! BIG love from Texas!

Great quote: "Instead of 'doing all the tricks', I feel like I know how to skateboard now. How to be a skateboarder."
I wish I had realized that sooner myself.
Living Legend.
