I'm an interstate truck driver and I have seen motorcyclists texting. And some motorcyclists are the most reckless, dangerous drivers on the road. Especially the young hotshots on ninja bikes.
At 45 mph, car drivers are in an enclosed cage with seat belts, crumple zones and air bags. A biker at 45 mph has ... a helmet? (But only in some states.) Just today, I saw a guy riding in a tee shirt, shorts and flip flops. And no helmet. 😅
I was thinking the same thing! I'm a nurse in the operating room at my local hospital, and in my 10 years working there, I have seen more deaths from motorcycle accidents than any other traumatic accident. It's not even close! I know this is anecdotal, but what you mentioned about the safety features in cars is absolutely true! And I see people in shorts and flip flops on motorcycles maybe 20% of the time, haha! I used to love motorcycles, but when I became a father, I decided to put that hobby away so I can protect myself for my family. I'm not throwing shade on those that disagree with me, but both professionally and personally, I've seen too many people's lives either ruined or tragically ended on a motorcycle.

My brother in law has rode for years. A month ago, he got in an accident with debris in the road. My sister was on the back of the bike. Luckily, he was able to keep enough control that they didn't die. They just got some road rash and broken right arms. Twin surgeries. My son's girlfriend lost her dad 2yrs ago and her dad also had rode for years.
Motorcycles are a bad idea dude.
I've noticed cat people also tend to like dogs, but dog people almost never like cats 🤔

It's been almost 2 days since Zorro invaded this show and Cardon hasn't kicked me off yet. In fact, I reinstated my membership in WR, now being one of the oldest members of ward radio.
Looking forward to future rides on my horse in this program, as the legend of Zorro continues.
30+ years ago we had 125cc limit for novice motorcyclists in UK. I was a donorbike rider back then and luckily survived. Irrespective.. it is not a matter for debate.. bikes are a hugely more dangerous,

I'm sorry. Bikes are death traps. My dad almost died on a bike. 20 years experience. He did everything right, and he still almost died. Didn't leave the hospital for 4 months. With a priesthood blessing, and the best surgeons in the state he is still walking today on a reconstructed leg.
This man was a magician. I was on the back when a car tried to squeeze us out. High curb on the right, car coming over on the left no room behind. Dad accelerated out of danger but it was so close he couldn't shift over any more right, his leg was rubbing up the side of the car, and his gloved hand punched the wing mirror off the car as we zipped past.
If he couldn't get out of his accident, nobody could have.

Sorry, you haven’t been tailgated by a motorcyclist and forced to make a sudden stop and seen that dude slam into your rear and go flying over your car and land in front of you. My observation is that I see a greater percentage of cyclists do unsafe things than motorists. I say that a person should have to pass a course in physics before being given a cyclist license.
