Every planet is unique and not two species are alike. There is something to discover on every planet in the words of the developers. It'll occasionally get boring like every other game, but it's the kind of game that can be played whenever and be fun to keep coming back to in the years to come.
of course it's going to be boring... developers always say..ohhh infinite ways of customization...infinite maps..infinite infinity and always ends up the same.. once you figure out that planets have a certain number of textures, weather, vegetation, etc and animals have a finite number of base models will be boring.. because it will generate a random planet with those finite models and variables, once you know them all it's over... ohh rainy planet with animals with zebra body toad eyes and pig wings.. it will be interesting tough... but not the definitive game of all time master of infinity bla bla bla.. and sorry for my english.. and of course I'm going to play it.. and to infinity and beyond and and
+Nicolas Muniz I just think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the amount of variety. I think the fact that something like this is possible in the gaming industry now is insane and innovative. There was even a part Sean was playing the game and scanned a deep underwater region but his suit was too weak to go that deep. The level of mystery is too great to pass up this game. I can see why you're skeptical but Hello Games is not just blowing smoke when they say what they say about this game. They are an independent company and had to fight tooth and nail to allow this game to see the light of day. It was almost canceled too. Sean Murray made this game to capture the sheer feel of the unlimited potential of the universe and the life that exists in it. It isn't 100% infinite, but goddam does it come close.
+Scott Socash thanks for your reply scott, and I really hope that all of this is true.. I'm just tired of promises, I know that everything it's just marketing and selling the game. I really look forward to this game, it looks promising.. let's hope it's good! I hope to find you in the universe or whatever it's called. ParanoidHedgehog its my psn account! thanks for the kind answer seriously
+Nicolas Muniz Chances are very slim that I'll find you but maybe. The game is mostly single player centered. The game is just so massive that it is slim to none that I'll see any other player in the game. With that said, Hello Games isn't like EA or Activision. They took their time with this game and built up hype to the point where even they know it would be detrimental to them if they failed to live up to the high standards they've set for this game. I'm not saying it's a certainty, but I'm 99.99% sure that this game will be a stellar hit. Nothing like it has really been in the gaming industry. As much as I love open world games like The Witcher 3 for example there ARE places that you cannot go to seamlessly and freely in that game. Some of the mountains are too treacherous to climb up. In NMS, they will likely be the size of actual mountains and then some. When Hello Games is saying this game is massive, they mean it.
+Good Find The game dosnt suck but It definitely could be better. I played for about 4 or 5 days straight and I was having a lot of fun in those hours, after that though I found myself doing the same shit over and over and it instantly became repetitive and kinda boring. The game dosnt suck but for a few hours it's okay... Hello games just needs to add a lot more to it to make it a lot better.
+TroubledBacon there is no way this game came bring all these promises. More than a billion planets? Only if there is mass duplications like maybe 5 planet types and a few unique story planets. Full exploration of said planet then the world better be small and so on.
Hmm, procedurally generated games can be quite varied if done right and give you a lot of play time. At the very least I think it should offer enough to compete with any other game out there. It certainly looks like fun if you're an exploration addict like me...
TheGhost Spore is a good game and a classic. No Man's Sky is like *Cities: Skylines game , the game that every simcity players wish for. So this game looks like an updated version of Spore or a Version of Spore that every Spore player wish for.
+Koto Nizna I just believe it's more hype then anything , trillion planets to discover, think there going to be slot of the same planets after the first 20 or 30 and game play looks very slow.
18,446,744,073,709,551,616 planets in No Man's Sky divided by approximately 7,425,000,000 people on earth means each person would have to explore 2,484,4069,976 planets...at a rate of one planet per second, it would take almost 79 years.
If every single person on earth played No Mans Sky and discovered a planet every second, it would only take about 84 years to discover all the planets (585B/7B).
I´m still on the fence about this game. It could be the most epic game ever, it could be running around planets with nothing to do. While I hope it is the former, I do have my doubts that this game is going to deliver. I wish it does.
This worries me too. I love space sims, exploration, pvp, pve etc but my worry is that there will be a point where we'll say, 'Not this kind of planet again'. I do hope there is some sort of objective system other than just reaching the centre of the galaxy. Mission running for npcs is something I do hope for and hope that it's varied. One of the videos I seen was when they came across some sort of relic site where there were several options available when interacting with it, one of the options was to 'sleep' beneath it. When the player awoke they interacted with an npc character where it was discovered that a new word had been learned in that particular npcs language. Perhaps language mastery is a thing. I hope there is much more content than that but it was that moment that gave me some hope that there was more to the interactions than it first appears.
+ajcarmageddon There are things in this game that even the developers don't know about. This is a game that everyone has wanted to play for years and Hello Games has their whole financial future testing on the shoulders of this game. Sean Murray and his team will be revered as pioneers of a new standard in gaming. The thing that will keep it from getting shallow, I think, is that you never know what's on a new planet that you are flying to. There isn't gonna be any handholding in this game and you'll just have to find out for yourself how immense this game is. It'll get boring from time to time like any other game, but you can keep coming back to it for years with the possibility of discovering something you've never seen before.
+ajcarmageddon you can never land on a planet if you want, and just interact with these aliens to do trading missions with them. You can join factions to attack other factions with these aliens you interact with. You can become a space pirate and shoot and steal as much as you want, and fly away. You can spend your entire time on a planet. Naming or just discovering animals, plants. You can learn these languages and interact with these aliens all across these planet sized planets. Whatever you want to do is limitless, as long as you're willing to do it.
I follow this statement. I hope we don't just fly aroud look at a planet for ten minutes that was generated from some code and factors changing it. And then leave to the next one.
Could you imagine being in the no mans sky universe when the development teams sent the probes out to look for bugs, all you see is this swarm of alien ships come into your system and begin scouring planets

Been waiting since this game was announced as project skyscraper ... The fact that they made Probes aka A.I. Aka NPCs with the sole purpose of finding and fixing bugs within the game is a huge step forward for the gaming industry, and the mathematical procedural randomness is one to be amazed aswell
How this video was made: Oki, so I'm gonna pick a clickbait title... hmmm... amazing features you may not know about no man's sky! Perfect. Now to just throw some random No Man's Sky facts that all the fans already know about and hope for that 1 million views to earn me them youtube shekels! Nobody can accuse me that these aren't amazing features, and they certainly can't say there aren't people out there that may not know about them! MUAHAHA!
Questions 1. Will there be fleet on fleet faction battles, and if there are will you be able to help one of the factions in the battle? 2.Will there be planetary ground infantry or any kind of ground battles? 3. Will there be alien cities and/or villages? 4. Can a faction attack another factions space stations or trade routes? 5. Can you obliterate a planet?
Nope there is bedrock like in minecraft and it varies on different planets I think. But I'm pretty sure there will be lava in some planets even if you don't reach the core...
15: wrong, it is infinite. 14: wrong, it is both procedurally and randomly generated. 11: see previous 9: wrong, there is a story 7: wrong, there is no teaming up with other players. good work dude, you made a video without doing any research at all.
+Divided Reality So what? They didn't know how to make better than that in the 80s? Better tell Spielberg to recall Close Encounters and Star Wars for being gross anachronisms, then.
I get the feeling this will be one of those groundbreaking games that will usher in a whole new era based on this gaming style of generating large environments to explore. Much like how GTA III revolutionized games with the open-world format or how L.A. Noire helped start the trend of motion-capture for facial animations and having actors act out their parts physically instead of just doing voice-overs.
+alex turianskyj I know. But according to the laws of physics everywhere is the center of the universe because space itself was created in the big bang. Look it up
The universe is not infinite, and will never be. Although it is expanding very, very, very fast in every direction, there will always be a center of it all, where the big bang happened.
Small correction. The first bit about "finite universe" should be "finite galaxy." The 18 quintillion planets and edge is about the galaxy we all start in at random locations. They have talked about other galaxies being present (each with their own 18 quintillion planets and edge) and many speculate the way you get to those other galaxies is by reaching the center.
Number 13 is also wrong. Based upon a sub base of 1 million people, it would take 5 billions years to see every planet for a second. For one person, it takes 585 billion years.
honestly im like 99% that this game will be succesfull but im another 100% that not being able to co op will make ppl think twice about buying it after all its a massive online game not solo so why make an online game that has no co op or pvp features ik tons of ppl without internet they want the game but fear that itll be an online gane only this explanation seems complicated i hope u can understand it
No there is 18.5 quintillion planets what would the point of adding just 1 planet that no one will ever find? Also you might be lucky enough to find a planet similar to earth in some form. But 99.9% of planets will remain unexplored so yea good luck with that.
I do hope you're wrong as this type of game is something I've been hoping for but as I said in an earlier comment I am deeply concerned about the content available.
You don't lose everything if you die. To clear things up, you won't lose armor upgrades or weapon/tool upgrades, nor will you lose your ship if you die. However, you can lose the ship if it is destroyed. In short, the destruction of your ship may mean your death, but your death does not mean the destruction of your ship.
reminds me of spores. that was pretty fun at first. can you build a settlement in this game and become a faction on a planet? or they want you to just keep exploring and moving on to the center? looks fun
Players were encouraged to reach the centre of the starting galaxy and then the centre of the universe. Since intergalactic travel has been said to be difficult im guessing there is something at the centre of the start galaxy that will help you travel between galaxies.
i feel like the center of the galaxy might have something to do with going to other galaxies because its confirmed everyone starts in the same galaxy but that there is multiple galaxies
Honestly it looks like a fantastic game. Like what other game has ever let you exolore billions of different planets? It's definitely a pre order for me.
If I ever manage to find someone playing this game I will land on a planet and write my PSN in the sand with my multitool. like meeting a new civilisation. that guy will become my No Mans Sky buddy for life
You forgot to mention a big detail in my opinion being that as you get closer to the center, the beasts become more unimaginable, as do the planets themselves becoming very abnormal. Also, you mentioned there were placed that players could team up against sentinels to take over that part of the universe... Could you expand on that at all?
How do you guys edit the transitions with text. As in creating the line and then having the white little background come up with text on the right and having the number on the left. I've seen this type of editing but idk what it is called.
Imagine being the guy who gets enough people to join him and forge a interstellar Empire and carve out a domain for you and others rule. Or anything seems awesome but i unfortunately wouldn't have the time
How diverse is the wildlife/npcs/ enemies you can encounter in the game? From every video I've seen so far, all of the enemies (dinosaurs and robots) look similar. Can you go inside other enemies ships and/or conquer/ take control/ own them? As far as weapons go, are you only able to use guns? What about melee weapons? (swords, sticks, grenades?
so you talked about factions, do we have more info on that ? how is the pvp going to work, like I choose a faction and I cross a player in another faction, can we kill each other or is it like the elder scrolls online where I will only cross paths with other factions in specific quests/missions/events ?
There isn't any PvP. The only factions you come across will be alien factions. You have only the slightest chance above zero of ever running across another active real-life person in the game. The universe is just too vast. At least at the beginning. A lot of people have speculated that, at the center of the starting galaxy, you will discover some sort of tech that makes it easy to warp to your friends, but none of that has been confirmed.
The devs have stated there will be no DLC to expand the game, so this is it. Survival, but without base/ship building? You cannot even ride/interact with the animals/bots/etc, just take pics or kill 'em (or both). You can swap your ship for another, but not custom build one, or even ugrade it. Just a straight swap for a cookie-cutter prefab. I strongly suggest waiting for reviews, as always. Even the devs say you will get bored playing sometimes. Not a surprise, when the only customization is basic weapon upgrades. Heck, gravity is magically compensated for by your generic non-gender spacesuit (you do not get to pick M/F), so there is no low or high gravity environments where you can experience different modes of movement. Considering it is a procedurally generated 'verse, I would have expected at least that much was baked into their maths. Exploration is a fine element, but only one that drives most open-world games. Right now, that is the only driving force in the game, with survival being the grind element that wastes time. Survival without accumulated power is not satisfying enough to carry a game for most people. Perhaps if ED and NMS were mashed together there would be enough gameplay to make something fun *and* large.
a great video for people who have no idea at all about anything to do with this game... and like someone who sounds like a 1980s primary school teacher.
What are the ships they're flying next to in that cutscene, what's that feature, is that part of factions, or possibly meeting with actual people(probably not)
The goal is to get to the center of the galaxy, not the center of the universe, because everyone starts in the same galaxy. There are multiple galaxies, though.
There are not factions that allow you to team up with other players. However there are NPC's but there should be a distinction when talking about this, given the vastly small chance of you actually running in to another real player.
>team up with your friends except for the fact that they lied outright about multiplayer, there is literally no multiplayer in the game aside from sharing names of discovered planets and animals.
Is there going to be like really large geographical structures like a fully sized grand canyon like on earth, life sized himalayan mountain ranges etc or will it just be small hills, a few not very tall mountains, not very deep oceans etc? Like can mountains be REAL sized as on earth? Can oceans REALLY be as deep as earth's oceans?
The one thing that worries me is that they say this is all procedurally generated but the creatures I have seen so far were all shown in art work on the walls in their studio. How could you ever procedurally generate creatures. To me it looks like they made a bunch of assets. generated a bunch of planets and then sprinkled assets on said planets. I will definitely be waiting until I can see some actual lengthy gameplay videos and reviews
Pretty sure the universe doesn't have an 'edge' so I'm not sure if fact#1 is really true. Sean specifically said to Game Informer there's no invisible wall you 'bonk' off the number of planets is just the amount that the code can generate. You just fly off into endless infinite black beyond the planet at the furthest edge
if ur wondering how this generates it's like minecraft. ur at a certain planet the whole planet is there. when u go to another planet it uses generated blocks and makes another planet. also (you do not need internet)
actually if you wanna visit every planet in no mans sky it would take you 585 billion years to see all the planets for just one second hello games said that
The first thing you mentioned that we "didn't know about" was that there are over 18 quintillion planets in the gameworld universe. This is listed everywhere that No Man's Sky is spoken about, and usually it is one of the first things mentioned. Why do you feel that you ought to include this information (number fifteen) in your list of features that people MAY not know about? Here's my list of the top 15 things you do not know about, GamingBolt: #15 - People already know about this. EVERYBODY and their dead relatives know about this. #14 to #1 - okay, I got lazy ... sorry
Should have named this video "The 15 most generally known features in No Mans Sky"
seriously
15 regurgitated facts you definitely knew but I like listening to myself talk
True
i didn't knew it

Plus: a few simply wrong “facts”.
I appreciated the regurgitation. I didn't know these facts.
i just really hope with this many planets it doesn't get shallow after awhile like when borderlands was bragging about its "millions of guns".

I didn't know some stuff

"15 AMAZING Features You May Not Know" -> if you had no idea what this game was about.
15 facts you already knew but I love hearing myself talk and you should, too
+kamacazi8 lmao
15 things that you already knew, told you in a slightly misinformed or not-done-my-research sort of way!
lol right?
chill bro
You can explore allllll the things.
No you can't
+Leo Brown yea you can but only within your capability.
+James Wilson I was going to say, it would be really cool to dissect animals
+Leo Brown ohh that's fucked up LMAO!
Shooting it with a grenade doesn't count as a disection
super excited for this
Me too
it seems to be overhyped!
+Uros L not really lol. Just because people are waiting for it doesn't mean it's overhyped

spore space stage done right
agreed
Funny, I was just about to say I hope this isn't a disappointment like spore and your comment was at the top of the list.
spore was a disappointment?
+Shlabedeshlub once you concore your planet. it got pretty dull afterward going into space
Tristan Monty i liked it
I have a feeling this game is going to very repetitive.
this will be like spore 2016..

Actually it would take one person over 585 billion years to see every planet for one second...
well here is to a game that will never be beat...mission accepted.
its been stated that if every person on the planet got to visit every planet 1 second each it would take about 20 years
Progress...

the only sad and big turnoff for me is no capital ships for player control... i hope a future dlc can bring them
That or mods.
Yeah, but the Devi said there most likely won't be dlc and just free updates. And that's if they add content in the updates.
+justin wing pretty sure they said free updates and dlc
they said that there wont be any big ships :(
Vampire Count Yeah that sucks major balls, cause I'd like an enormous Battlecruiser to roam the galaxy with and now I cant...

Could you imagine being in the no mans sky universe when the development teams sent the probes out to look for bugs, all you see is this swarm of alien ships come into your system and begin scouring planets
I'm sure the probes were invisible. Why waste development time making a visual probe?
+Kevin French i am aware of that, I was looking at it from a philosophical point of view
Is that your real name, or where did you get it? I heard it somewhere.
+Nathaniel Zavala me?
+Crux Of Crota lol nice name xD
I just wish they made the actual space darker black instead of the unrealistic pink stuff. I wanna feel alone when I play
Yea... In simple terms SPACE GAS
Orion's Belt I think, his sword thingy is in the spider nebula.
i get the impression that in spite of the colour you certainly will feel alone
except for the presence of all the AI
1987greenman still, the task of actually getting to them or them to you will be as momentous a task as making it to the centre of the galaxy, or more so.
given the size of the universe, it's extremely unlikely that your friend would be within even a trillion stars.
this seems like the next level in game development

go watch cobra tv for THE BEST No Man's Sky coverage on UA-cam.
Or Orbit TV, they make nice content to! :)
or me please i make no man's sky content to check mine out
no, ill play my own game and not watch someone elses discoveries, that takes away the point of the game
the games not even out yet so yea thats not what they mean they mean because the game isn't out yet you can watch videos about it
Wow. Just wow.
Awesome video. Really glad I subscribed.

Yah i thought the same thing. UA-cam is pure clickbait anymore...it's annoying.
Speak for yourself...
Well I didn't know about all 15 of these features
You mad bruh?

5. Can you obliterate a planet?
though i have a question can we reach the center of the planet like the earth has center and its all lava so can we do that in no mans sky?
anthony wan
+superguyps3 It's possible to do so, with the right upgrades and equipment.
+Darth Jar Jar It's possible to reach the core or even beyond that with the right upgrades and equipment.
Nope there is bedrock like in minecraft and it varies on different planets I think. But I'm pretty sure there will be lava in some planets even if you don't reach the core...
Im pretty sure we can :)
15: wrong, it is infinite.
14: wrong, it is both procedurally and randomly generated.
11: see previous
9: wrong, there is a story
7: wrong, there is no teaming up with other players.
good work dude, you made a video without doing any research at all.
I love so much about this game... I just wish it didn't look like a comic book.
I enjoy how the planets can look in that style, but space itself seems a little off... I agree with you there...
Well, it's inspired by 80s sci-fi
+Divided Reality So what? They didn't know how to make better than that in the 80s? Better tell Spielberg to recall Close Encounters and Star Wars for being gross anachronisms, then.
That seems to be a tossup - a lot of people love it (myself included) but others hate it.
To each their own, I guess.
I get the feeling this will be one of those groundbreaking games that will usher in a whole new era based on this gaming style of generating large environments to explore. Much like how GTA III revolutionized games with the open-world format or how L.A. Noire helped start the trend of motion-capture for facial animations and having actors act out their parts physically instead of just doing voice-overs.
the titel is "Features You May Not Know About" Yet ther first thing you hear is "15 things you NEED TO KNOW" wtf
don't think I've ever been so excited about a game, love exploration so this may keep me happy for about 5 billion years!!!!!
upgrade part reminds me of destiny
Destiny.....minus the suckage
+jb111082 ooohhhhhh
+FG50 ya i definitely know that i was just saying upgrade parts look similar, and ive only played the demo of destiny
In fact, if you spent 1 second on each planet, it would take you over 585 billion years, not only 5 billion ;)
You are already at the center of the universe from the moment you first spawn... Easy win.
My god...
You spawn at the edge of a galaxy on a random planet there.
They have talked about other galaxies being present (each with their own 18 quintillion planets and edge) and many speculate the way you get to those other galaxies is by reaching the center.
there is no edge..... just saying
there is
You can fly forever.
+Relaxing Sky Indeed.
+Relaxing Sky theoretically it is, but we won't ever reach it
There is no edge but if u fly far inuf u d continue flying in complete darkness
it would be amazing if players could share planetary cooridinates among each other and we all started virtual colonies.
I want to see this with VR.
VR would ruin it.
Ruin it how?
uhhhh no. VR would literally make it better. You would feel you are in the universe even more.
+Kevin McCusker vr is amazing. I was in doubt til I used it.
This narrator speaks like a high-end text-to-speech computer.
Holly shit only 4 weeks!?!?! I NEED THIS GAME!!!😀😀😲😲😲
I just pre ordered it. I'm so hyped!
I preordered the limited edition version :D
5*
+ЅlσшτнεΔгκ same. My nigga.
+Mr. Bagel 4*
Number 13 is also wrong. Based upon a sub base of 1 million people, it would take 5 billions years to see every planet for a second. For one person, it takes 585 billion years.
5:00 Wtf?
rip
rekt
+Joe Smith be sure I'll try to 360 Noscope the first creature I see in the planet and name the planet in honor to that rekt fallen being...
Born too late to explore the world, born too early to explore the universe but born in the right time to do it both in a videogame.
it would be so sad if this game ends up to be a big flop. i hope its successful because i can't wait to play it.
honestly im like 99% that this game will be succesfull but im another 100% that not being able to co op will make ppl think twice about buying it after all its a massive online game not solo so why make an online game that has no co op or pvp features ik tons of ppl without internet they want the game but fear that itll be an online gane only this explanation seems complicated i hope u can understand it
Chaos MD hahaha
"A game as big as No Man's Sky must have epic long load screens, right?"
Sure, a question after the answer is just brilliant.
I'm saying thooo.... do they got Earth in this game?
No there is 18.5 quintillion planets what would the point of adding just 1 planet that no one will ever find?
Also you might be lucky enough to find a planet similar to earth in some form.
But 99.9% of planets will remain unexplored so yea good luck with that.
Okay thx
+James Wilson who would want to go there anyways lol
+Mega Spike Ikr I'm already there irl
+James Wilson Earth is there
When you get to the center of the galaxy it transports you to another with new story and lore
This game will be one of those disappointing games of this year.
no
Call of duty
I do hope you're wrong as this type of game is something I've been hoping for but as I said in an earlier comment I am deeply concerned about the content available.
+john major lmao
If you're disappointed, it's your own fault. Don't project your overhype onto us.

+jeff meyer GOTTY
Didn't you hear the news about the fight between Hello studios and Sony? They won't release it on the PS4 anymore.
+Janta Van bommel you troll...
NukaRupert Hehe
reminds me of spores. that was pretty fun at first. can you build a settlement in this game and become a faction on a planet? or they want you to just keep exploring and moving on to the center? looks fun
there IS a story, Hello Games had just been very vague on it because they know if they release info on EVERYTHING before release, the hype will break.
It would actually take 553 billion years to explore every planet in 1 second, not 5 billion.
Can't wait for all the Jet Pack Deaths videos that will be made
Thank you for the info, I can't wait for No Man's Sky!
this game is incredible. One of the most intriguing games I've ever played.
Another fact: it would take over 35 trillion years for a player to visit every single planet for a minute
Players were encouraged to reach the centre of the starting galaxy and then the centre of the universe. Since intergalactic travel has been said to be difficult im guessing there is something at the centre of the start galaxy that will help you travel between galaxies.
number one.
It's the best way to get views on UA-cam at the moment.
It would actually take 585 billion years to explore every planet for a second each, not 5 billion
I didnt know many of those things. Thanks for the video!
i feel like the center of the galaxy might have something to do with going to other galaxies because its confirmed everyone starts in the same galaxy but that there is multiple galaxies
Honestly it looks like a fantastic game. Like what other game has ever let you exolore billions of different planets? It's definitely a pre order for me.
If I ever manage to find someone playing this game I will land on a planet and write my PSN in the sand with my multitool.
like meeting a new civilisation. that guy will become my No Mans Sky buddy for life
JHarrisComedy presents ONE thing you need to know about No Man's Sky:
1. Believe the hype, pay the price.
You forgot to mention a big detail in my opinion being that as you get closer to the center, the beasts become more unimaginable, as do the planets themselves becoming very abnormal. Also, you mentioned there were placed that players could team up against sentinels to take over that part of the universe... Could you expand on that at all?
'k, I new 'bout all dem featuerz, but had fun watching all the No Man's Sky scenery again ...
I was having 2nd thoughts on my pre-order but you made the game sound great again.
this game reminds me of Spore, remember how hyped everyone was for that
i hope it is better, but i get that same feeling
There's no "edge" to the universe. There's a limited number of stars and planets, but if you exit a galaxy, you can continue moving forever.
it's an edge like a state or provincial line, where nothing physically splits one section of country from the other.
Or anything seems awesome but i unfortunately wouldn't have the time
Wow! this vid explaines so much! thanks! +1 sub
Only one comment that someone else probably already said, when you die in space, you lose your ship not just resources/discoveries.
great video !
(swords, sticks, grenades?
this is the super open world game of all time!!!! i can't wait to play this game!!! who's like No Man's Sky??
I was expecting gameplay mechanics when I saw "features" in the title, didn't know it was more of a "fun facts" kind of thing
this would be epic if you could make this into an earth sim experience
so you talked about factions, do we have more info on that ? how is the pvp going to work, like I choose a faction and I cross a player in another faction, can we kill each other or is it like the elder scrolls online where I will only cross paths with other factions in specific quests/missions/events ?
There isn't any PvP. The only factions you come across will be alien factions. You have only the slightest chance above zero of ever running across another active real-life person in the game. The universe is just too vast. At least at the beginning. A lot of people have speculated that, at the center of the starting galaxy, you will discover some sort of tech that makes it easy to warp to your friends, but none of that has been confirmed.
Steel Beard to do list after getting the game, get to the center of the galaxy asap and hope that there's not a black hole in it
The devs have stated there will be no DLC to expand the game, so this is it.
Perhaps if ED and NMS were mashed together there would be enough gameplay to make something fun *and* large.
if I find an earth like planet, I'm naming it Pandora
a great video for people who have no idea at all about anything to do with this game... and like someone who sounds like a 1980s primary school teacher.
What are the ships they're flying next to in that cutscene, what's that feature, is that part of factions, or possibly meeting with actual people(probably not)
The goal is to get to the center of the galaxy, not the center of the universe, because everyone starts in the same galaxy. There are multiple galaxies, though.
I really hope No Man's Sky supports Ansel. This is such a sexy game
one thing i REALLY want to know is if there is a literal edge of the universe or if it bleeds over to the corresponding 'opposite side' the universe
There are not factions that allow you to team up with other players. However there are NPC's but there should be a distinction when talking about this, given the vastly small chance of you actually running in to another real player.
Correction on #9, there is no story but there is a lore. And you can piece together that lore by exploring.
I am starting to fear that this game has such a vast world that there are not enough actually interesting things to do.
>team up with your friends
except for the fact that they lied outright about multiplayer, there is literally no multiplayer in the game aside from sharing names of discovered planets and animals.
The fact that there are no loading screens is enough for me to buy this game
Is there going to be like really large geographical structures like a fully sized grand canyon like on earth, life sized himalayan mountain ranges etc or will it just be small hills, a few not very tall mountains, not very deep oceans etc? Like can mountains be REAL sized as on earth? Can oceans REALLY be as deep as earth's oceans?
it sounds like a hyped idea of a game with dreams and hopes that could be shattered
It's kind of heartbreaking how optimistic this video is. Little did they know how disappointing this game would turn out.
It would actually take around 585 billion years
if ur wondering how this generates it's like minecraft. ur at a certain planet the whole planet is there. when u go to another planet it uses generated blocks and makes another planet. also (you do not need internet)
I want to know if you could use planets gravity to slingshot yourself to gain more speed
actually if you wanna visit every planet in no mans sky it would take you 585 billion years to see all the planets for just one second hello games said that
I've said it once and I'll say it again... attempting to understand the ingenuity of the SCOPE of NMS hurts my brain...
Here's my list of the top 15 things you do not know about, GamingBolt:
#15 - People already know about this. EVERYBODY and their dead relatives know about this.
#14 to #1 - okay, I got lazy ... sorry
