This is an experience Ive been wanting for so long. Dont get me wrong I love complex, interesting stories in games. But I constantly watch videos and shows about space and try to imagine exploring the galaxy and seeing so many diverse alien worlds and creatures. This is the chance to actually do that.
+ian “naion” pirrall But you compare that to a game like Star Citizen with really solid controls. Unless your engines get shot off- then it doesn't feel as tight. But hey that's life.
This game is too ambitious for me to believe anything about it. like, it looks great, but how have they created countless unique planets? if the same creatures appear on each on, then it would get boring quickly.
The best reason to get to the center of the universe is to see other players of course :D There is only one center and everyone will aim for it, so at the endgame, you will see many other players i think.
+Tozo Zozo Yeah well good luck with that, depending on where you start with 18000000000000000000 planets and 45 seconds at least between each, doing some quick math to go from one corner of the universe to the middle it would take you 171,232,876,712 years to get there in real time
+SebTheGreat84 Sean has said it will take about 40 hours to get to the center. And your math is super weird because: 1. 18 quintillion PLANETS 2. You don't stop at every planet, you go as far as you can
"won't be running into anyone".."can't drop coordinates to meet friends" Even if I can't play with friends I enjoy human interaction in games. Most of the time I don't even talk to anyone or interact with people but I just enjoy having people around sometimes. Of course you can say something like "well use your imagination with the npc's". Yeah you can do that, but I'd get bored of that quickly and I think a lot of others would too. I want to be a bounty hunter or something. Let me join a gang of space pirates with other people, and take over a huge space convoy, y'know?
+IBanged YoMomma quite clearly have not watched a single video about this game with the devs in it then :P Technically, it is multiplayer. In that when playing online people will be sharing servers and in the same universe etc, and could therefore meet. However the chances of that happening are so ridiculously small because of how astronomically huge the galaxy is
+IBanged YoMomma its basically a single player exploration game, with slight chances of meeting other people. That's good enough for me there are plenty of other multiplayer games out there
+Joel66 l I used to be about multiplayer but then the spoiled ass selfish squeakers came and ruin it for me now I barely ever play online sure I play multiplayer but mostly with just my friends so yeah online multiplayer is done for me
Look how much has changed since we last saw a video from no mans sky, im super pumped for this game, cant wait to start my journey to the centre and then find a player.
I think the ability for co-op would have improved the game's selling opportunity by a lot more - I would love to travel the universe with my buddies... wreaking havoc, naming planets etc. It just sounds like it is going to get monotonous very quickly and I was super hyped for this IP.
+Rex Noct yep cant wait to get stuck into the game, so much old exploration was 1 man, or woman, equiped with an idea, a notepad, and a fire in their belly with the stones to see it thruogh.. in NMS we get to go it solo, lone pioneers, heading out with our basic equipment, to find ourselves and something we want to excel at. and fill our minds with wordls of bright wonders and things to find. so many other multiplayer games focused on groups.. many of which just turn into power touting, player troll groups, hunting down solo players for fun.. this mostly solo mode is going to be a great, a refreshing change. because many of those that won't like it, are probably the same people i'll be unhappy to meet in game, so that a win/win
why do people just complain and complain over and over again. omg who cares about its 5 flaws it has so many more pros than cons. just shut up, its just a game. you are ment to have fun not nitpick it.
It's a meditative experience. Too much expectation will ruin your experience. Play it for the sake of playing it. Encountering other players will be special and profound. This is an indie game promoted as an AAA game.
Here are my questions: 1. Are all the planets in the same location in all solar systems? 2. Are there planets bigger than others? 3. Are there stars bigger than others? 4. can you go in your ship from a solar system to another? or are you obliged to use the teleportation system?
Some planets are close to the sun resulting in extreme heat and some are far away resulting in extreme cold. That said, no, all solar systems will not have same planet dispersion. I cannot verify that some suns will be different sizes, but I can confirm that there are different KINDS of suns. Sean Murray said once that certain suns (I believe it was a red one in that particular case) have "better"/more resources than that of other ordinary suns. Murray also said that you can fly blindly toward the nearest solar system and eventually reach it, without using your warp drive, but it would be a very ling, boring flight, in complete blackness (except from light from stars.)
Yeah this seems more like one of those 4K demos you watch, without much interaction. Only it's 1080p.ha Even the developers said they are expecting the worst from reviewers. I was like huh? Why make a game you don't even have faith in. Weird.
Jeremy Freeman I don't know where I've seen but I saw a picture of it holding a gun of something and a giant mobs, at least it's a shooting game? but I'm not into futuristic shooter so I'm still not in this, but at least good to know this is not another exploration kinda game again.... so many those kinda games and it's cool idea but they're not a game.... we need more good games like back in the days and more creative idea..... Resident Evil, Metal Gear, Crash Bandicoot, Time Crisis, Silent Scope, well these titles might seem out of date but well, good memories. I don't need repeated titles, but maybe make something new for us. Make a game that actually require us to use our brain to solve puzzles like the old RE. innovative idea like MGS2. Well. anything....
+Uros L deception maybe for you. The division is very fun for me.. Most of the people that talk bad about it are the one that haven't play the full game yet... Weird.
+Rossy Mejia If you take in consideration the most realiable reviewers as Angry Joe, The Division didn't meet the expectations for many. The game it is average at best, it is just that Ubisoft dropped the ball by downgrading it in comparison to the E3 build, and the hype that Ubisoft made, it is being reflected in the reviews with many disappointments.
Evandro Motta --I dont think, unlike The Division, this game isnt preaching to be more then what it is.. you walk around, scan stuff and read stuff. Trade.. repeat. You just get to fly spot to spot w/o load screens.
EZIC --I wouldnt say "hype" but it did promise more then it delivered. Many of the features 1st preached about wore removed from the game, along with graphical features.
+Flyout91 Not the point of this game. If you want a space game where you play with friends try Elite Dangerous, or wait for Star Citizen to come out in like 2017 or 2018.
+Kidyungblack12 Who knows. The game is still very early on in development even if we can try out the alpha, and its not very well optimized yet, not even for lower level gaming PCs. Maybe if they can get through that hurdle, they can find a way to optimize it so that it runs on current consoles. Highly doubt it though.
+Steven Brinklen It's basically single player. There is an incredibly small chance of you meeting another player. There are 18 quintillion planets and the planets are bigger than Minecraft worlds.
Mmm. i dont know.... if only the true things you can do is visiting planets and colect resources for ship upgrades.... Is way too simple, maybe it'll look beatiful at first, but it will get really boring in a short period of time....
About the multiplayer, this game will release on PC aswell, I'm sure someone will be able to mod it so that you start out in the same place as others since the galaxy you play in might be procedurally generated but also shared amongst each other. What we're really should be hoping for is that they dont mess up the gameplay or something like that. I do wonder if you can build your own ship, that would be amazing, and extend it to the size of those star destroyers you see in game that's huge.
i would defently buy it at 15 with no hasitate, but i will wait to drop around 30. and it's not that it isn't worth 60, but i will never ever buy a game at that price ever again.
When a third party has to make a video like this to answer such a fundamental question, you really should take another look at how you are marketing your game. No offence to the game, I'm still curious about it, but this zero-information hype-campaign is seriously mind-boggling.
it would be cool if the story mode was at the center of the universe where your past journey would define how the story is told . they can even include these later on cause no one would reach the center any time soon . what would be great is the story could be procedural generated such that its specific to how one played the game and the choices they made
Yeah IV been following this game for 2 years and this is the worst video IV seen on it. Honestly it seemed like she had only a vague idea of what she was saying
what's the focus in this game? flying around space or walking on a planet? is it 50:50? i like the idea of a space sim game that allows the player to transition to flying within an atmosphere, but i never want to get out my ship
I'm still not convinced this will be any fun. If they simply added some way to play with friends, it would completely make this a must-buy. But the idea of exploring a virtual universe by your lonesome doing the same things over and over again, to upgrade my ship, weapon, and suit for the sole purpose of doing the same thing over and over again, just doesn't seem appealing to me.
Think of it as a Singleplayer game and your goal is to expand your resources. Maybe, when you reach the 'Center' you can chill with friends and do whatever. I dunno... I'm still going to buy this game!
1. Book it to the center of the universe as fast as possible. 2. Find an untouched system near the center. 3. Name everything in that system "Penis": Penis 1, Penis 2, Penis 3, Penis Prime, Penis Alpha, Penis Beta, Penis system... etc. 4. Relish in the joy of countless others as the discover the penis system.
This game reminds me of that game on the iPad where you mined the whole thing with random people and the person who got to the centre first won something
+deadbeatloon A little? If there are 100,000 players and 18,000,000,000,000,000,000 planets, it would take decades of play to find anyone. There would be 180,000,000,000,000 planets per 1 person.
You can see your friends on the galactic map. So if you decide to start going towards each other, using your hyperdrive intermittently, you would probably find them. Just meet up in a star system and go to the nearest space station.
Jaeden Noel no, you cant see Your friends, its been confirmed that there will be no system for multiplayer, it is possible to find other players but its very rare, and those players are random. not Your friends.
1. He did in fact say if you can get to the center it would be much easier to meet people/friends. More so because its a distance thing that makes it so hard. Keep in mind age of game, faster ships, maps etc all of that becomes easier. 2. You can give location to friend. Its a matter of speed/time tho that makes it hard. It's not unlikely..
this is the direction it has been going in since it was announced. they haven't changed what the game is. and the new details only serve to tell us more about what we will be doing. what were you expecting from it?
+Jack Fearon Maybe like being able to meet up with friends and more character leveling. My friends and I were really looking forward to playing together in this, now...
+The Big B The character leveling system is about your items you use. You upgrade your ships change there weapons/shields, improve their hyperdrives, and add other modifications they didn't go into detail about. You upgrade your weapon down several paths mining, scanning, and damage. Your suit and probs also can be improved in a number of ways to help you better survive environments. Those are all leveling systems.
They were pretty clear from the start that this wasn't a multi-player game and that they weren't going to implement a way to meet with friends or any of that
That's why I'm waiting for reviews at least. I think it might be good but I just wanna wait. It's 60 $ I just don't wanna be disappointed like other games "bloodborn" "the order" many others. starwars, division, so on
They just need to take this concept and make it MMORPG! And then add content like housing & home planets, so that players can feel like they have an identity in the game. This can become so much more. People also need goals to achieve in the game so that they have something to push forward for. In-game rewards when completing or reaching certain barriers in the game is a good mechanism that acts as positive reinforcement and will keep people competetive against one another and keep playing the game
Current NMS players check in: 🙋♂️ As a day 1 player, I still enjoyed the game then and I still enjoy it now. Yea, it wasnt what it was like in this video but I wasn't disappointed much by it because I had low expectations and still enjoyed my time with it at the time. Today, there are very few games I have sank more time into and had more enjoyment in that time spent than with HG. (Bonus fun fact that people apparently don't know still: there was a flood in their original studio some time before the game released apparently destroying the game making them lose a lot of development progress so that may be partially the reason why the game looked different at launch. Also, Sony played a large part in it too. HG still has fault on release but considering their inexperience, Sony, who helped them with their game and their PR guys that claimed to have played it and loved it before launch, had made the issue so much worse for HG by hyping it up. They either didn't really play it or they knew it was unfinished and pressured him to finish it by a set deadline. Either way, a larger portion of fault should be on Sony for being the experienced ones who let this happen. While HG still has fault too, its more understandable that an Indie developer was in over their heads and didn't realise it when they never done something like this before. Meanwhile, what excuse does Sony have who has done this hundreds of times before? Its like an adult supporting by allowing and even providing money for a child to drive a car and when the car crashes the adult blames the child and tells the public that the child was 100% at fault, which is what Sony's PR guy was trying to do. Unfortunately, do to a likely NDA between Sony and HG, HG isnt able to speak about it. But during an ARG that HG set up, Sean Murray actually apologized. And for the whole thing too. Man fell on his sword. No one really does that these days.)
For the people that complain that all the trailers shows the same looking animals, its because the variation was disabled for the purpos of not spoling any supprise for tha player. Sean Murray in many interwiev said that ther are pretty crazy looking animal variation but he doesnt want to spoil it in the trailers, and rather leave it up to player exploration to find and see them. There is many video clips with Sean Murray talking about the game, so instead learning about the game from some thirdparty why not try to learn it from one of the developer of the game himself. p.s. spaceships usable by players will also be proceduraly generated, so you as a player will have huge chance to have a ship that no one else have, look and spec wise.
+solarplexus7 Most Disappointing Game of EVERY GODDAMN YEAR Call Of Duty Same shit different skins and they don't even bother making a Singleplayer Story anymore,I don't know why in Gods name is people still buying it
paussi00 No there should not be AN EXPECTATION to COD,It literally is the same game every year just add some Parkour, futuristic guns, silly skin, zombie or alien mode and paste it at 60$ Thats the game
+Jack Fearon Except all 3 of those games have story lines to keep things entertaining. imo sandbox games like minecraft and the like are WAY more fun with friends. Sure with minecraft you can mess around in single player and it's still fun, but when that gets boring you can go online with your friends. This game would probably benefit heavily from a multiplayer but then again, that's probably not what their vision of what the game is.
Games like these remind me of how unauthentic and uptight gamer culture has become. You are presented with a game that gives you seemingly infinite exploration with a bunch of shit to do within it. A game that lets you make your own stories in a way that is unique to every player yet people need to be spoon fed information because being creative is too much work. 10 years ago this game would've been a marvel to witness but now we take projects like these for granted because some people can't enjoy a game without knowing everything about it.
I'm in agreement with you but when you have SOOOOOO many different games to choose from and the Devs keep being vague about what exactly you can do, you can't help but be skeptic. Now it is extremely ambitious and very beautiful but it looks boring to me and wanna know exactly what all I can do in the game. If it's just about collecting materials mostly for my ship, gun, suit, that just sounds incredibly boring to me. I'm willing to give it a chance just give me a reason to be excited for it and I'm not seeing that here.
+ShadowWarrior242 this video doesn't explain a lot at all. A game should be a delightful surprise. I for one like exploring, space battles, trading, meeting alien NPC, infinite and unique planets and animals, objectives, a slight chance of encountering another player, upgrades, shooting totally destructible planets, uncertainty on what the game holds, and companions
+Ayylmao Dude seriously, why are you are being a jerk? No one was arguing with anybody and your comment was unnecessary. He said that people take games like these for granted when they would've been a marvel not so long ago and I agree with him, so where exactly was he being butthurt? It annoys him that everyone else is shit talking a game they've not played or really know anything about and I completely level with him there. People are self-entitled asshats these days so I totally understand where he's coming from, I feel the same way myself sometimes. It's like those fucking idiots already complaining about the new Doom & Shadow Warrior 2. They're classic mindless shooters and they both look like a blast to play yet you have these jackasses saying they look dated and everything else. They both look like a blast to play and are simply being brought into the modern age so STFU and actually give the games a chance.
+Nojatha Yea that's true, just more clickbait crap from IGN I guess. Oh and I do absolutely agree that games should leave a lot of mysteries for players to discover for themselves and I'm not harking on that, my issue is that they're just being way too vague about all the things players themselves can do and that makes think a game like this would bore me. Now I'm not saying it will and perhaps I could very well be wrong which certainly wouldn't be a bad thing, but all I see is an ambitious game with amazing graphics, and not seeing the entertaining gameplay to back it up. I don't need to be spoon fed information I just wanna know as a player how can I have fun in this game. I don't enjoy games like Minecraft and such so if this is like that then I'm not certain it can keep my attention. That's what my concerns are, but I'll keep checking for more information to hopefully prove me wrong.
Ayylmao I know I like this game because I can do basic research and find out what the game is about. What's being advertised is what I want. I don't have a stick up my ass and will want to enjoy the game rather than find reasons to dislike it.
What's funny about this game is it does pretty much exactly what Spore did 8 years ago, although from all appearances, Spore was much more in-depth, interesting, and exciting than this game.
I would love for someone to answer 1 simple question. What is the point of No Man’s Sky. I’ve been flying around visiting planets and I’m bored to death! Really, I have no idea what the point of this game is.
Wow, I've been really excited for this game, but not being able to play with friends is really a mood killer. If this game is really a single player, nearly aimless exploration game, it better be the most interesting god damn universe ever, which I'm sure it won't be. I'm hoping this game is great, but it's looking grim. Just for me personally, though, I'm sure this is a lot of people's thing.
They already said countless times that there will be no traditional multiplayer, smh I guess this is why this game's overhyped, people are making up things without researching and brought more crowd.
+1P4 its so annoying seeing all these people complain about no mulitplayer and the hype being dead now and cancel the preorders yadaa yadda when since day one Hello Games have been transparent about exactly what the game is. People just hear what they want to.
Are you daft, punk? The chance is so small because the game is so massive. Tons of people will be playing and most of them won't bump into each other because of the immense scale. You clearly aren't paying attention.
+Laser Bungalow or what he is implying is people wont play it since there isnt anything to do except to explore and hope you find a planet someone else hasnt found already so you can name it something like penis or dickbutt or diarrhea
420apache657 Nope. Its an actual condition. Its caused by close range motion. and is very common in people who need glasses for reading or close range sight. My dad has it.
As a gamer who prefers to solo everything (even in games like World of Warcraft), playing mostly Single Player games and the experiences that come from that [the changing of the pace anytime I want (going fast for a while or moving slowly and enjoying the sights), the story or movie-in-my-head that develops as my own (but I can share with others)] - and then adding to that, the exploration that seems possible in this game - and then the fact that what I've seen of No Man's Sky reminds me of Outcast..? I am literally sitting here with my mouth open just thinking about it all... Wonderful. [My personal quest in this game may not be to find The Center of the universe, but The Border.... ]
This game is going to SUCK....just utterly suck soooooo muuuuuuch tiiiime out of your day! I hope they have a total time spent in-game so I can keep the addiction at bay
this game on Oculus Rift and Virtuix Omni.... imagine physically walking around the environment literally in a whole new universe omg these guys have truly achieved something great here!
just a thought. i know the chances are very smalle of meeting another player, but if you can name planets, you write messeges to other players on where you are going. if you then have a friend who also have the game, you will increase the chances of finding each other. If the goal is to get to the center, won't the chances also increase since everybody moves towards the center. at some point all players will be in or around the middle.
The game has a story, the game has a lobby system for meeting with friends, there was no point in your comment seeing as you're claiming shit as if it's true, when the game isn't even out yet.
+Viktor Andersen you can, but there's a very small chance. Sean has already told us there's always an open lobby on players if they decide to play online. If you come across another player, both lobbies the two players are carrying are merged together and they can see each other and travel with each other. But the lobbies have a limit to how many players it can hold, so you can't expect to meet up with all your friends and see them. But who knows.. maybe they got rid of the feature.
Lots of games get stale very quick, but few games have the ability to stay fresh. I however believe this game will not have that ability. Maybe it will be fun for a few hours but probably not worth 60 dollars from my point of view.
Will there ber aggersive/territorial animals who attack you on sight? And do you guys think they will include planets with cities or atleast larger communities? These are the only questions I really want to know right the game right now..
Yes there are hostile animals. From one article I read, a guy demoing the game was mining resources and it upset the creatures around him and this tiger-like creature came and killed him. I'm wondering about the cities too, that's my only major question right now. We know there are buildings like observatories and factories and outposts but don't know about cities. Hopefully there are at least villages.

Fly around and collect rocks
No....
+Kiliab Gonzalez its Star Citizen Lite
+Kiliab Gonzalez GOD DAMMIT KILIAB, THEY'RE MINERALS
+wahkee123 😂 ok that was funny
+Kiliab Gonzalez you could use that simple reductionistic logic on every game available.
Looks cool but will get boring quickly i bet
never
Agreed
world's most boring thing is to buy COD every year and kill people the only differences r guns skin and map .....story doesn't matter....
+nick max actually I like cod so
+Matthew11731 Cod's a good casual shooter
don't worry people will find a way to meet up
People will meet up more near the center of the galaxy. Im going to throw some Center of the Galaxy parties, so come find me. Everyone invited.
+ranmashin lool
ranmashin haha
+ranmashin Sorry to burst your bubble but there's more than one galaxy...
+Joshua W Yeah, but Hellogames has said that everybody will start in the same galaxy, but it will still be extremely uncommon to find somebody.
She got motion sick from just watching a tv screen. She's screwed when it comes to VR.
+JediKilla Unless...she was playing it in VR perhaps? Leak?
+Joseph Mach I thought the same
Comfirmed now! Lol
Hey you from the past, you were very ahead of the time as I am currently playing in vr
This is an experience Ive been wanting for so long. Dont get me wrong I love complex, interesting stories in games. But I constantly watch videos and shows about space and try to imagine exploring the galaxy and seeing so many diverse alien worlds and creatures. This is the chance to actually do that.
yeah that's what is drawing me in too
That for and no 3rd person camera, pretty sure PC is gonna fix this
FOV
You right. Imagine PC mods for this game
+PC Master Race Pretty sure you have no friends.
+fhgdngdfh fool you just activated his trap card!!
+PC Master Race pc sucks
This game has changed so much since then
let me save you the 4 minutes: the game is beautiful, but completely pointless
Welcome to the concept of life lol
Hooray
Victor Bastos bet
Isn’t every game pointless?
Just like your worthless life.
"flying feels a little floaty"
....its a SPAAAACE SHIP!
lmao I was thinking the same thing
+ian “naion” pirrall Maybe she means that it feels more like controlling a toy helicopter rather than an actual space ship
+ian “naion” pirrall But you compare that to a game like Star Citizen with really solid controls. Unless your engines get shot off- then it doesn't feel as tight. But hey that's life.
+Sax Panther maybe she needed to upgrade her ships engines etc
+ian ”naion” pirrall and its also a woman flying
YOOO instead of finding the center of the Universe, the game's goal should be to find your friends.
what if you don't have any friends?
Volticymo the to? please check for mistakes before you press post comment
WorldoftheLegends Please don't be anoying before posting a comment.
Volticymo you told me to commit suicide so don't you dare talk to me about annoying or "anoying" as you call it
Volticymo i was talking about me and it's not the goal
It all makes sense now...Your chances of meeting another player are less than 1%....until you start getting closer to the center.
Thanks for this comment now i understand it more and i'm even more hyped for the game now
+GhostOfWar You can have 1 million people on a planet and have trouble seeing one another. Even in the center it will be VERY rare
+GhostOfWar City at the centre?
Robert Chamberlain Who knows? Maybe we all die lol
Been playing this since release and I still don't know what to do
:) find who u are, the centre, and Artemis
This game is too ambitious for me to believe anything about it. like, it looks great, but how have they created countless unique planets? if the same creatures appear on each on, then it would get boring quickly.
hahaha
Something to do with vauxhalls
Very interesting title regardless. Going to e one of those that people have huge arguments over when it comes to its overall focus.
Woah! ACG!
+Tiny Rick Woah! Tiny Rick!
ThePsychoRenegade Woah! ThePsychoRenegade!
Tiny Rick WOAH! Aw, shit there's no one else to woah...
ThePsychoRenegade Woah! No one!
The best reason to get to the center of the universe is to see other players of course :D There is only one center and everyone will aim for it, so at the endgame, you will see many other players i think.
+Tozo Zozo Nice incentive.
And your math is super weird because:
1. 18 quintillion PLANETS
It should be easy to find other players in this game. If you are a woman just reverse your spacecraft....you are bound to hit another player.
good one
God damn it.😂 good one, I liked 👍
no multiplayer? wtf I thought that was the point. fuck this game
Lmao
+IBanged YoMomma quite clearly have not watched a single video about this game with the devs in it then :P
Technically, it is multiplayer. In that when playing online people will be sharing servers and in the same universe etc, and could therefore meet.

Same bro
Why not No Woman's Sky? This is a very sexist game, hence the developers will not be recieving my support.
I doubt they would want support from a potato lol
+The Legendary Veigar This potatophobia must not stand.
no womans sky. That is very sexistisk why just not "no sky"
Someone contact Sarkesian!
Because that jokes not old now...
since as Iong as we all lived even longer they always said man like it means human
Sony has given us the best game of this generation. So excited! Game of the year easy!
+Calinks methinks not. will be a disappointment
Troll
+Calinks Sony doesn't make the game. Its also on pc on day one. And its a timed exclusive.
+Calinks But you haven't even played it.
Game of the year needs some meat, not just pretty pictures
cant explore planets with friends??? im out thanks goofs
k
k
k
She said that you can...
+Kiuraz: No, she specifically said you WON'T be running into players or coordinating with them.
incoming "7/10 too much sky! -[insert gamingchannel]" on review after its release
I think the ability for co-op would have improved the game's selling opportunity by a lot more - I would love to travel the universe with my buddies... wreaking havoc, naming planets etc. It just sounds like it is going to get monotonous very quickly and I was super hyped for this IP.
"Flying still feels really floaty..."
It's flight. You float when you fly. That's kinda the point.
John Lemon, the futuristic starship doesn't supposed to feel "floaty"
woman moment
the excitement I have for this game is beyond any other game I'm excited for this year. this is going to be such an amazing game.
+Rex Noct I'm sure you're gonna be disappointed. lmao
+Bakkayaru Magibon why?
@@rexnoct5810 this aged well
why do people just complain and complain over and over again. omg who cares about its 5 flaws it has so many more pros than cons. just shut up, its just a game. you are ment to have fun not nitpick it.
+Sam McArthur You Mean Trolls Like You ?
+Simranjit Simran how am I the troll. This comment is obviously a joke since no real life human being can be that salty over simple criticism
Im Sorry I Misinterpreted What You Meant.
Christian Orr Do you still feel the same?
It's a meditative experience. Too much expectation will ruin your experience. Play it for the sake of playing it. Encountering other players will be special and profound. This is an indie game promoted as an AAA game.
They should add a feature of being able to join a friend, as in warp to them.
Murray also said that you can fly blindly toward the nearest solar system and eventually reach it, without using your warp drive, but it would be a very ling, boring flight, in complete blackness (except from light from stars.)
games nowadays.... good graphics..... so realistic.... but.... boring gameplay..
Yeah this seems more like one of those 4K demos you watch, without much interaction. Only it's 1080p.ha Even the developers said they are expecting the worst from reviewers. I was like huh? Why make a game you don't even have faith in. Weird.
Jeremy Freeman
I don't know where I've seen but I saw a picture of it holding a gun of something and a giant mobs, at least it's a shooting game? but I'm not into futuristic shooter so I'm still not in this, but at least good to know this is not another exploration kinda game again.... so many those kinda games and it's cool idea but they're not a game.... we need more good games like back in the days and more creative idea.....
Because it's boring for you (causeyouhavenoimagination),It's not boring for the other hundreds of thousands.
Chroma Well. no need to name calling. Good for you, enjoy it.
SDU-Tango Thanks?
Another hype deception like a Division? Coming soon..
possibly
+Uros L deception maybe for you. The division is very fun for me.. Most of the people that talk bad about it are the one that haven't play the full game yet... Weird.
+Rossy Mejia
If you take in consideration the most realiable reviewers as Angry Joe, The Division didn't meet the expectations for many.
EZIC
--I wouldnt say "hype" but it did promise more then it delivered. Many of the features 1st preached about wore removed from the game, along with graphical features.
It should be made into a colony/survival game where you can then turn your colony into an empire that spans the Galaxy
WHAT ?! Impossible to play with a friend, to set a base or to engage battles with other people ? NOOOOOO
+Flyout91 they didnt say that, they said itll be dificult
+Flyout91 Not the point of this game. If you want a space game where you play with friends try Elite Dangerous, or wait for Star Citizen to come out in like 2017 or 2018.
+mi7sen95 #StarcitizenonPS4
help me start this guys
+Kidyungblack12 you're kidding right
+Kidyungblack12 Who knows. The game is still very early on in development even if we can try out the alpha, and its not very well optimized yet, not even for lower level gaming PCs. Maybe if they can get through that hurdle, they can find a way to optimize it so that it runs on current consoles. Highly doubt it though.
um I'm still confused is there other players in this game or is it single player
multiplayer
+Steven Brinklen It's basically single player. There is an incredibly small chance of you meeting another player. There are 18 quintillion planets and the planets are bigger than Minecraft worlds.
There are other players on the game, however the universe is so big in the game, according to the video, chances of finding someone is below 1%.
+Pemphro The planet's aren't bigger than Minecraft worlds. Minecraft worlds are infinite, and afaik NMS planets are not.
+paussi00 minecraft worlds are not infinite. I've run into the edge before
Thanks for making this video. This question has been on every mind since the game was announced.
This is great technology, but as a game seems really boring.
Mmm. i dont know.... if only the true things you can do is visiting planets and colect resources for ship upgrades.... Is way too simple, maybe it'll look beatiful at first, but it will get really boring in a short period of time....
Yeah, the hype will die in a week
+Daniel Kane my hype wont
About the multiplayer, this game will release on PC aswell, I'm sure someone will be able to mod it so that you start out in the same place as others since the galaxy you play in might be procedurally generated but also shared amongst each other. What we're really should be hoping for is that they dont mess up the gameplay or something like that. I do wonder if you can build your own ship, that would be amazing, and extend it to the size of those star destroyers you see in game that's huge.
$60? Good joke. I'll wait til it goes to $15
Same
Good luck waiting 10 years XD
i would defently buy it at 15 with no hasitate, but i will wait to drop around 30. and it's not that it isn't worth 60, but i will never ever buy a game at that price ever again.
It's total worth the 60. I just got it and I love it
+Random Gaming wait a couple days then it will be boring
When a third party has to make a video like this to answer such a fundamental question, you really should take another look at how you are marketing your game. No offence to the game, I'm still curious about it, but this zero-information hype-campaign is seriously mind-boggling.
it would be cool if the story mode was at the center of the universe where your past journey would define how the story is told . they can even include these later on cause no one would reach the center any time soon . what would be great is the story could be procedural generated such that its specific to how one played the game and the choices they made
Scale from 1-10
Hopes: 7
Expectations: 2
How about now?
My goal will in the game will be the same I have on this world, CONQUER EVERYTHINK AND ANNIHILATE THE WEAK
People found each other within hours on the first day of launch
YOOO instead of finding the center of the Universe, the game's goal should be to find a way to have fun with this piece of shit
+Rolo thatsthejoke.png
almost every thing she says makes me wanna play it less and less
+WRCRYAN247 Curiosity
"Not full of men, but it is full of sky"................................................................. really
That was my reaction aswell
+Doom Gal if they were trying to sell the game with that, they failed miserably
well that sucks, cant meet my friends in this game... probably wont buy it then
Well, you can meet friends. It just takes a little time.
+deadbeatloon so there are ways to meet people?
Jaeden Noel no, you cant see Your friends, its been confirmed that there will be no system for multiplayer, it is possible to find other players but its very rare, and those players are random. not Your friends.
How utterly beautiful that opening shot was.
Obviously there is no center of the universe and the goal is to uncover that truth. Oooh so meta :P
So it's first person Spore in which you can't build your own creatures.
+John Michaelson No because spore is pretty shit, and this is more you control the game not the game controls you.
+John Michaelson That's exactly not what the game is about
+John Michaelson WTF, no.
It's not unlikely..
i really wanted this game. now it seems... i dont know... like it went in the wrong direction.
this is the direction it has been going in since it was announced. they haven't changed what the game is.
and the new details only serve to tell us more about what we will be doing.
what were you expecting from it?
+Jack Fearon Maybe like being able to meet up with friends and more character leveling. My friends and I were really looking forward to playing together in this, now...
+The Big B The character leveling system is about your items you use. You upgrade your ships change there weapons/shields, improve their hyperdrives, and add other modifications they didn't go into detail about. You upgrade your weapon down several paths mining, scanning, and damage. Your suit and probs also can be improved in a number of ways to help you better survive environments. Those are all leveling systems.
They were pretty clear from the start that this wasn't a multi-player game and that they weren't going to implement a way to meet with friends or any of that
+Rui PTG yup
i would like to buy the game if there is character progression and quest in this game
exactly but I don't think it is.
Then you won't buy this game.
And here we are today lol
Gamespot gets the opportunity to test a space game, and who do they send? The queasy motion-sickness editor! smh
Current NMS players check in: 🙋♂️
As a day 1 player, I still enjoyed the game then and I still enjoy it now.
Calling it. Most Disappointing Game of 2016
+solarplexus7 Depends on what you're expecting. It isn't a space MMO shooter -- if you want to play something like that then play Destiny or WarFrame.
+solarplexus7 Most Disappointing Game of EVERY GODDAMN YEAR
Call Of Duty
Same shit different skins and they don't even bother making a Singleplayer Story anymore,I don't know why in Gods name is people still buying it
+Azlan Wake My expectations of COD are so low, it doesn't really disappoint me anymore.
paussi00 No there should not be AN EXPECTATION to COD,It literally is the same game every year just add some Parkour, futuristic guns, silly skin, zombie or alien mode and paste it at 60$
Thats the game
+Stuballs - That spot's reserved for Federation Force.
No multiplayer? HahahHahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha
What?
does fallout have multi-player?
or the witcher?
or shadow of morder etc?
no, you don't need it
It is multiplayer
Technically yes. But not really no
+Jack Fearon Except all 3 of those games have story lines to keep things entertaining. imo sandbox games like minecraft and the like are WAY more fun with friends. Sure with minecraft you can mess around in single player and it's still fun, but when that gets boring you can go online with your friends. This game would probably benefit heavily from a multiplayer but then again, that's probably not what their vision of what the game is.
Is that a screen tear at roughly 3:18 in the grass?
Wanna play with friends? Well you're in luck , just take about 6 weeks to find your friend!
+Killjoy0329 or 6 years
+Weapon Smith, Brynjar or 6 days
Or 6 minutes.
Or quintrillion years
Killjoy0329 or 6 seconds
I don't have a stick up my ass and will want to enjoy the game rather than find reasons to dislike it.
thats a pretty cool concept to think about when your playing that there are other players (beings) in the universe your playing in
So....... It's just a "Universe Simulator", right?
No that's Universe Sandbox
No that's space engine.
What's funny about this game is it does pretty much exactly what Spore did 8 years ago, although from all appearances, Spore was much more in-depth, interesting, and exciting than this game.
Ok
gtfoh. spore sucked ass.

I would love for someone to answer 1 simple question. What is the point of No Man’s Sky. I’ve been flying around visiting planets and I’m bored to death! Really, I have no idea what the point of this game is.
Doesn't sound like it's your type of game. Because it's a game where you choose what the point is
Whats the point in life (IRL) 😅
Jokes aside, for me, the goals is much like playing minecraft singleplayer: You take one day at a time.
Background music is: Dreamz of Machinez by Darren Leigh Purkiss & Luke Richards
People just hear what they want to.
less than 1 percent chance to find someone, that might be because people would get bored of the game fast, and the player base would be so tiny
They haven't even told us much about the game yet
im next to you Yeah but it'll be highly unlikely to find someone else's planet when there's 18,000,000,000,000,000,000 of them.
Laser Bungalow thankyou!!!!!
thats what im saying
cant wait to run this on pc and see what kind of mods get developed for it :)
you got motion sickness from sitting motionless on a chair playing a video game? cant imagine what you'd be like in an actual car

So it will be boring within a few hours? Cool..
Nope I've had for almost 2 days and no drop in my love for this game. I just got a map to a black hole so that's what I'm going for

Lol
The giant crystal is at the center.I don't remember the name of it.
still doesn't seem like there is much to do.
there is a kid out there that will play this game non-stop and beat the game in a week 😂
You can't necessarily "beat" the game
Your point?
+kelly wilson whitehead my point being there are some serious champs out there.
even with the infinite planets..someone will make the game seem easy
Is it possible that the 'Center' is where everyone can meet. The world may never know!
Yes it is possible but the game only loads a certain amount of people.
This game is very fishy. Even more than Starbound was.
This game is going to SUCK....just utterly suck soooooo muuuuuuch tiiiime out of your day! I hope they have a total time spent in-game so I can keep the addiction at bay

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
just a thought. i know the chances are very smalle of meeting another player, but if you can name planets, you write messeges to other players on where you are going. if you then have a friend who also have the game, you will increase the chances of finding each other. If the goal is to get to the center, won't the chances also increase since everybody moves towards the center. at some point all players will be in or around the middle.
+Martin Wilken
That is if you even are able to find the same planet though.
I don't like he chances of running into someone
+Kid Desu y
+Kid Desu Why would you run is space?
Your friends should be able to start on the same planet as you.
Never tell me the odds!
A game with no story, no multiplayer, and ultimately no point... great. Definitely going to wait until this is .99 cents PSN sale.
The game has a story, the game has a lobby system for meeting with friends, there was no point in your comment seeing as you're claiming shit as if it's true, when the game isn't even out yet.
+melvin lainez In the video it said you couldn't meet up with friends?
+Viktor Andersen you can, but there's a very small chance. Sean has already told us there's always an open lobby on players if they decide to play online. If you come across another player, both lobbies the two players are carrying are merged together and they can see each other and travel with each other. But the lobbies have a limit to how many players it can hold, so you can't expect to meet up with all your friends and see them. But who knows.. maybe they got rid of the feature.
+melvin lainez which I highly doubt.
melvin lainez The lobbies, is just an instance. You can't meet your friends unless you're really lucky or have no life traveling for hours.
It's like an space mine craft without the blocks
Spoiler Alert: This Game will be the biggest disappointment of 2016 or whenever the fuck this game comes out.
Mgsv was my biggest disappointment of 2015.
Probably of all time tbh
it looks like elite dangerous. but more cartoonish
+Uncommonly Dope Fallout 4 was the biggest disappointment for me
+Kylo Ren same mgs v my biggest disappointment

Anyone else think that this game is going to be super long and boring???
