Didn't expect to see that much struggle on an "Easiest" video :D
Appreciate you left all that in though. :)

Always change the bushings it's pure fun!! I change by my self, the front trapezes ones in the Mk5 Gti and it's challenging. I put the purples powerflex and made a huge handling diference. I hope new videos changinng new ones. There are a lot. Good video!!!

Just a heads up for anyone looking to buy this tool. It doesn't work on a MK6 Jetta platform. The video says nonspecifically MK6 platforms but this doesn't include the Jettas. I had to pay for return shipping after ordering this part based on this video's comments on it working on MK6 platforms. ECS will not confirm this working on MK6 Jettas.

Great vid, have just borrowed my mates tool, exactly the same has yours, but the 2 set screws that screw the bar into the subframe is missing, have tried 6mm with a 1mm pitch and 6mm with a 1.25 pitch but neither fit, any chance you could check the size of yours for me ?. cheers . Spike

@@bobe2933 I wound up simply pulling the cradle off the car, and using a friend's cheap hydraulic press to install the new bushings. Pulling the subframe cradle is really not that big of a job...And honestly pressing the new bushing into the cradle with the whole thing off the car was LOTS easier than even this video makes the job look with their custom tool.

I drive way more than the average person (rideshare) Go through two or three of these per vehicle, every 3 - 4 years, so it is worth it to me. I am taking the cradle off now, due to switching out the swaybar and bushings, but next time I can just bust out the dogbone instead of having to run it to a dealer or some crap head for high rates@@quangdog

Those damned sway bar links suck on EVERY vehicle I've ever worked on. Mazdas, Honda, Toyota... the stupid hex fitting always snaps the hex bit when the lock nut is frozen on with New England rust. They all need to make them with a wrench fitting on the back side of the bar, opposite side of the nut. Period. The only way I've found success it to use a file, and file off a flat spot on either side of the ball seat where it sits against the sway bar. Then I can use an adjustable wrench or a locking vice grip to hold it from spinning. Also guys - did you spray these things with PB Blaster first?
