Thanks for the feedback! Let me know if there's anything you think I should cover in upcoming videos, we'll be getting pretty technical with wiring, engine timing, and more.
For the E39 you're either going to need the special tool, or use the sledge-hammer method with heat. This bushing tool wouldn't work on that bushing due to its design.
What's your opinion on this tool being enough to replace the rear sub-frame bushings? Would it be an adequate substitute for the Koch tool you rented in the prior video? '02 525iT and wanting to do full power flex bushings under the car as I've already transitioned to poly motor mounts.
Hey I went and made some measurements and this kit won't house a large enough bushing to work for the subframe bushings. The special tool for the subframe bushings is made to fit within the grooves of the bushings made for that tool, so its the only way, besides just heat and hammering. Good luck!
it's best to use antiseize on the threads to help prevent the threads from damaging from the torque
I’ve got the same kit, the thread on the nut was striped. On the first use and the bush did not budge
Usually you want to grease those threads prior to use.
hey, how is the toold 3 years in the workshop?
Exactly what I needed! Thanks
The front wheel bearings on e39 are bolt on
Great video! Sweet dog too ! ♥️🦴🐶
Thank you very much Pete! He's the best boy for sure.
Goose is such a dude 😎
Great video, lovely dog too
Thank you very much, Chris! He's a good boy :)
Thanks man I'm going to get this.
If I were installing OEM bushings, I would need to use the same remove tool to install the bushings?
Great vid. Thanks for sharing.

Great tool thanks for the vid 👍🏻
Ummm so can this be done with the subframe still mounted ? Not really trying to drop this out
not with this tool
would lightly greasing the threads help? shouldnt make it worse right?
I believe the instructions of many kits like this say to grease the threads.
Would this work on the subframe bushings or do you need the specific tool

Hey bro, great video, what size diameters did you use on the front ?
Wish I remembered, but I'm not sure. Sorry!
Should you have greased the threads?
Yeah for sure grease em up, these still had machining lube on them out the box
awesome content!!
Thank you Angel!

Fyi man, tool you linked to is no longer available
Updated again! Thanks 💪
Bim, can we use this tool also for removing n instaling ball joint?
Sure, I don't see why not! I've used this on many applications, always seems to be there when I need it.
wow going in dry with the new bushes... ouch
This tool does not allow to use impact wrench. Very poor quality of the thread.
also i wouldnt recommend poly bushings, unless with very high hardness, they usually dont hold up...
