I am curious if you prefer the vlog style in this video, showcasing Alaska, or the less talking, more building/ASMR type seen in the last video? Which bowl do you prefer, #1 or #2? I appreciate you!
Man I'll watch whatever you produce. You're a freakin master at workworking though. And I have to ask how much time do you have in making one of those bowls?
To all the subscribers, I also live in Eagle River and have bought several items from Kris. I have been to his shop and his home. Kris is a 100% genuine guy, his product is second to none.
Kris, I thought the first bowl was beautiful but geeze Louise this bowl is far superior to that. When I saw the finished bowl my jaw hit the floor. So much color and design. It's honestly just amazing. ❤👍♥️♥️💯
i stumbled upon your cutting board video from years ago. then just watched this one, its awesome to see the tiny shop that you came from into the shop your in now, keep killing it bro
One of the most beautiful bowls I've ever had the pleasure to watch being made. Your patience is amazing. I hope you sell them faster than you can make them. We'll done!
These are one of the nicest bowls I've seen in my short 45 years old life. Genuinely. Amazing work! I like #2 a tiny bit more than #1. But both are great.
Hi 👋, Kris, That was definitely sketchy with that catch, Well saved, it could’ve been a bit painful, I think it was well worth the effort to Try and cor the bowl , especially it, just seems a shame to waste all that time and effort and material, Definitely worth the job, As for which one looks better , I think they both look amazing, they both got their own character, and depending on which way you look at them, time well spent, great looking pieces of art, stay safe, keep up the amazing work. Look forward to seeing your next project., And I forgot to mention, the wildlife looks great as well , I quite often see red squirrels, wild boar,🐗 deer 🦌, and occasional pine, Martin, And the temperature here is around about 15° , I’ve never known it to be so warm here in the winter, did have a few days of frost, but not a lot, Phil from the moulin France
I love that you can visualize the end product before you even start turning. I just marvel at your artistry, creatively working the rough wood to its final product. This is amazing craftsmanship. Keep up the great work, my friend!! Thanks for the patreon plug, I will support you.
#2 with the purple heart. The contrast is outstanding. I am partial, though, and I use purple heart in about 3/4 of all of my projects, even if just a little accent on drawer handles and on at least 1/2 of all cutting boards and coasters. And that base for the #2 bowl was pretty sweet. The trepidation of parting it off is well understood, but goes away with practice. Without a coring system (definitely need one myself), I've used that method dozens of times, and it always works well if done slowly.
Another great video and bowl, Kris! I like the talking more than the ASMR, but I think that there is room for both in the UA-cam world. I really like bowl #2, but something about the accent strips in bowl #1 really does it for me.
Sorry, I couldn’t choose between these pieces, they are both so beautiful. What a lovely gift to receive, something made with time and love. Your truly gifted. 🙏🏼 In awe, from Ireland.
I remember going to the Alaska State Fair maybe 15-20 years ago. The quilts were amazing. The woodworking.... wasn't as good as this. It wasn't at all what I'd expect from a major fair in the lower 48. This is more like it! Good job.
I love you showcasing Alaska in your video's......looks very cold right now! Wish I could send you some of our Arizona sunshine. 🌞 Both bowls are absolutely gorgeous but my favorite is the 2nd bowl! Your talent is so amazing!!!
Really wish we'd stopped by the shop on our last visit to Eagle River. Would've been cool to see the place and pick up a board. Can't wait to get out there as a resident in 2025.
I wear the same mask as you too ,, and every now and then a piece does try to make a break for freedom which really hurts when they hit you. So I can understand your friend turning in full gear. Thing I wear more than anything is a air flow mask because the dust is going to get you if your not careful.
Awesome bowl! The tri wing bowl looks better on the tri-wing base in my opinion. Great video, love the method you used and pattern of the finished product.
Kris, love your videos we used to live in Chugiak and attended church in Eagle River and it’s so cool to get to see it again. Love your work! We own a sawmill down here in SW Georgia and it really helps me be a better sawyer seeing how you use materials. Keep the content coming!
Another mind blowing piece 🤯. They look like they take longer than 55 hours to create! Kudos to you. You are a braver man than I to do that kind of turning. Even your sawdust looks great. Could you come up with some kind of project that you could make out of your colorful shavings? I bet it would look fantastic. Thanks.
@@KrisDeVo hi Kris, I say that partially in jest because who would try to make something out of wood shavings/sawdust. With your incredible talents and ingenuity, I think that you could pull it off. Huge respect for your unmeasurable talents!
Great video. I turn bowls on the regular , if you open up the flute of you’re gouge , it will make a much nicer cut and not bounce so much on you outside cuts.
I don’t know how you even put a price on this but I know I couldn’t afford it. Makes it priceless as something at the Louvre because it is a piece of art!
Kris that is a very nice looking bowl and stand. I'm very impressed with the finish as well. I thought you were in Wassila, not Eagle River, Alaska. John
I'd say which one someone would like would depend on which color scheme they prefer. I prefer bowl #1, but they're both examples of exquisite craftsmanship.
Hello Kris - thank you for sharing your exceptional video work and your woodworking creativity. Would you mind sharing with me the model and options you use for the X2 for carving your logo/name into the bottom of the tri corner vessel?
I am curious if you prefer the vlog style in this video, showcasing Alaska, or the less talking, more building/ASMR type seen in the last video? Which bowl do you prefer, #1 or #2? I appreciate you!
Whatever you want to do!
I enjoy both. Great work!
I like when the host talks through the video... As long as you're comfortable with it.
Man I'll watch whatever you produce. You're a freakin master at workworking though. And I have to ask how much time do you have in making one of those bowls?
Appreciate that! About 55hrs per bowl.

You are insanely driven. So impressed.
That is quite stunning! As is the first one. Love the wildlife shots. Ermine?
Thank you @neesr13! Yes, Ermine are little weasels. Cute, curious and serious hunters. They also change color in the winter/ summer.
Very nice new product line added to the already impressive line-up.
Thanks for sharing.

Amazing work, keep living the dream 🙂
Wow, just amazing!
Another stunner Kris!
Thank you @GregsGarage!
Awesome bowl! The tri wing bowl looks better on the tri-wing base in my opinion. Great video, love the method you used and pattern of the finished product.
Sick bowl brother!
Very nice...not quite one of a kind...closer to two of a kind. Especially on your 9th bowl.
If forced to chose between one or the other...I think the 1st one is my favorite...that said I love them both!
Love bowl #2 and the stand for bowl #1.
I’ve never wanted more to eat a salad than I do right now!
Great looking work sir.

@@KrisDeVo we might have to work on that. I have some amazing red oak I just finished up in the kiln.
Love that red!!!
Outstanding work, id love to buy a bowl blank for my husband
Gorgeous bowl and really love using the election as a base.
Thanks for showing us an ermine!
WOW. I’m very impressed 🤩
Thank you @josiecapps2555!
Just made my first three corner bowl. Not that easy! Yours look really great!

Awesome!
both bowls are great man.
Lovely!
I wonder if all those multi-coloured shavings could be compressed with a load of wood glue, or set in to epoxy, for future projects?
Great video. I turn bowls on the regular , if you open up the flute of you’re gouge , it will make a much nicer cut and not bounce so much on you outside cuts.
Appreciate the advice. I have tried but am still so new to this. I get scared of the catch when its open
Hi. I could find it so I just ask. Do you have any merch? If not are you planning on having it? I would love a Devos Woodcraft T-shirt
I have had a few small runs made but need to find a better way of having quality merch made. Its on the list! Thank you @DayZilya!

Thank you for the replay < 3
Yes to vlog. #2.

Kris that is a very nice looking bowl and stand. I'm very impressed with the finish as well. I thought you were in Wassila, not Eagle River, Alaska. John
@darleenlime8012 Thank you John, You in Wasilla?
No, I'm in Anchorage. That was why I was telling about the large packages of baby wipes for glue cleanup. John@@KrisDeVo
Vlog style is cool
Muy bonito te quedo genial. Te felicito 👏👏👍
I'd say which one someone would like would depend on which color scheme they prefer. I prefer bowl #1, but they're both examples of exquisite craftsmanship.
