One of the things I love the most about the Jedi Council over other youtube talk shows, even Collider's other talk shows, is the professional interactions between each of the speakers. Every person on the council gets a moment to speak, gets time to share their thoughts. I've seen shows where a particular voice is run over by fanboys running their mouths and not knowing when to allow others to speak. I really dig this dynamic.
Who else is going on December 17 opening night? With all the epic trailers in front of the movie and the hype this might be the craziest and most epic movie showing of all time.
When I see The Force Awakens on Thursday night, the first thing I'm going to do when I get home... Is to turn on my computer and watch Jedi Council with you guys. That address the council segment was absolutely touching. You guys get Star Wars just like me, and I love that you share your honest opinions.

I haven't heard many people talk about this, but I work at a movie theater and have to spend most of the holidays working double shifts for Star Wars. I don't mind, personally. I enjoy the extra cash, but there are a lot of theater workers who do mind. They are literally giving up the most special time of the year with their families to help give others an excellent Star Wars experience. So, maybe take an extra second at the concession stand to tell the kid serving your popcorn that you appreciate what he/she is doing. It will make their day, I'm sure. Also, I agree with Mark. A movie this big is going to be a prime target for some kind of incident. That is why those costume rules were implemented. It's a sad and scary thought, but hopefully security measures keep people safe. I hope you all stay safe out there and enjoy The Force Awakens!
I'm glad they've started shooting on real locations again... but when you think about it... you can't shoot someplace like Mustafar, or Felucia, or Corsucant on real location.... not all alien worlds should look like Earth.

I hate the "are you going to like The Force Awakens if it's not better than the original trilogy" questions. The whole mentality of things being bad just because they aren't as good as x just seems like unadulterated stupidity to me. I want good movies regardless of whether or not it's as good as another good movie. That's just common sense.
Ikr, I loved Avengers Age of Ultron, IMO almost as good as the first one and could've been better if that third act was improved. But people's only argument is usually just its not as good as the first one its so annoying just enjoy the movie for what it is and be glad we can even get sequels all the time like this of course it won't be as good as the original but that doesn't mean it's bad

Well I understand your mentality, but the whole reason why these questions are asked is to prevent haters from trashing on it for no apparent reason other than the fact that it may not be as good as the original trilogy or as bad as the new trilogy. In my opinion all of the films were good. And also in my opinion every film in the series has a few shortcomings. But I don't care how good of a movie it is you're never going to have a perfect movie that satisfies everyone. And a lot of haters use that as a tool because they find it hard to admit that they actually enjoyed the film even though they did.

I've been avoiding Jedi Council because I was already sold on watching Star Wars episode 7 and didn't want to hear anything new about it. I didn't even want to see any new footage or details about the movie. But because this is the last Council before the big premiere I thought I'd give it a go. It's nice to see my man Christian being courteous to fans and not giving too much away, for that I say thanks Christian
Hey guys. love what ya'll do here at Collider. Been an avid and consistent watcher since some of the early Force Awakens content for Jedi Council was coming out. But something I've been wanting to point out that it'd be nice if you could look into for the next Jedi Council after the Force Awakens comes out, is that your cameras for the council room are always focused on the background rather than you guys. It's only like a few hairs off, but it's still really noticeable. And somehow it's consistent between all the cameras on each of the four seats. I don't know what particular cameras you guys use, or if there's an easy way to monitor what they each record on the day you film. But it'd be a nice improvement for the next wave of episodes if the lenses could all be readjusted to focus on you rather than the memorabilia in the back. Thanks for all the wonderful news and entertaining discussions. And I will always tune in for more for as long as the show runs.

Plus Coast to Coast am. The 21st is going to be a very interesting day for me! Because my dad saw the movies when they were first in the theaters. And then I got to see the next three films in the theaters. But my friend was too young to see them at the time and I'm taking him along, So now he will get the full experience of what it's like to see the Star Wars film!
That "Come on baby, don't let me down" 2-3 second clip from Han Solo was better and more emotional than ANY scene in the prequels. For me, that is what the prequels were missing (well, along with a good script).
It's comments like this that are nothing but bullcrap. There was emotion in episodes 1-3, mostly 3. The BBC also did something on Star Wars and had interviews from the past with Mark and Harrison where they heavily criticized the dialogue in the old Star Wars films. Singling out the prequels is stupid and it shows you're blinded by nostalgia. All of the films have their faults. But I love them all as they're Star Wars

Mackenzie Mitchell It's not even so much the dialogue, it's HOW the dialogue is acted out. My complaints with the prequels is that EVERY actor seemed monotone and lifeless when delivering the dialogue. There was no passion and in inflection in most of them. That is on Lucas and his direction, because many of those actors are top notch. (not Hayden)

when I first started watching these videos a few months ago, I was sort of ashamed because I thought it was so nerdy. Once this video came out, I'm now at the point that I make audible noises of excitement.

So started watching this and the first thing day say is more about star wars trailers, yeah guys, I am going to have to come back after the movie because I stopped at the first international trailer and thats it. I was able to bare you guys talking about the TV spots but I am trying to keep my mind as fresh as I can.
Starting Monday I'll be off the internet until I see The Force Awakens. I plan to see the film at least 2 or 3 times in one day. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Listen, I have been subscribed to this channel and watching this show for a few months now. Definitely the best movie channel on UA-cam. Harloff, Campea, and Ellis, y'all are awesome. However, it is so good to get a beautiful woman who knows her Star Wars on the show. Y'all are great lol but it's awesome to see a pretty face amongst all the dudes. Woo-hoo! Almost here! Going to the second showing in IMAX here in Billings Montana... Took the whole week off to play star wars games.. Read some of the books I haven't read yet and re-watch the anti cheese Prequels and maybe even the old Vhs "Han shoots first" original trilogy and avoid the Internet as much as possible (besides the streaming premiere and Colider Jedi Council spoiler free stuff) what an amazing time to be a star wars fan!

I've been hopeful about 1313 since its tragic cancellation. I'm so happy to see it mentioned today! I've been reading about the efforts of the development team and apparently they had just tons and tons of footage and material that never got to be released or even displayed anywhere. I would've preferred to not play as a young Boba Fett though, especially since that wasn't their original plan. To experience the darkness of the underworld from a young, untrained perspective is truly something new to me that I hope we get to see.

I think you guys missed information about BB-8 with the Jakku spy VR game. BB-8 was receiving messages from the resistance and investigating the graveyard on the planet, probably investigating / searching for something. He is also seen on an X-wing and a Poe Dameron toy as his x-wing droid, so possible love interest with Rey and Poe?
A NEw Dawn was too my first book that I picked up for the New Cannon. Now I am onto reading Tarkin. Waiting till January next year to pick up Lords of The Sith in paperback.
Regarding the idea of a Star Wars based TV show, I have two ideas I'd like a to see if the Council would buy or sell: 1. Alliance: SecForce Bantha. Star Wars meets Band of Brothers. Follows five (or so) Alliance soldiers from their training into the ranks of the Alliance Sector Forces ground troops. Culminating in their final battle (I'm thinking Endor) 2. The First Jedi. Thousands of years before Luke. Follows young INH (insert name here) who thinks he/she might be going crazy when he/she discovers his/her powers. Follow INH has he/she comes to grips with powers, finds he/she can cultivate these power in others. Together this young Force user lay the groundwork the Jedi Knighthood. Meanwhile on the other side ot the galaxy another youngster takes a similar but darker path.
The thing is after this movie is out I will be a lot more calmer about rogue one and EP8, I don't think I will watch every single starwars panel on youtube or go on R/StarWarsLeaks. I just needed this one to pacify me. What a time to be alive.
I have Monday afternoon and night blocked off. I expect ya'll to be live streaming yada yada. I'll be geeking out with the big screen computer monitor.

Great episode guys! Just wanted to vent my frustrations tho on the Star Wars marathon. Showcase Cinemas will not be participating with the event unlike other major movie chains. That is really not fair for people who live in States like Rhode Island where there is no other major movie chain. Its so unfair!

I loved the rebels episode. I really liked the dual moons which harkened back to the twin suns, and the music there was very emotional

Every week is a build up to the next Jedi Council! Love the show, the dynamic between you four this episode was hilarious! Super hyped for The Force Awakens but kind of sad that it's the last council where everyone is still in the dark about the movie. Han Solo saying "Come on baby don't let me down!" in this trailer was an epic call back to Lando saying the same thing in Return of the Jedi. Brilliant, loved it so much.
I agree that livestreaming the World Premiere is great idea. I will be watching it, plus it was brilliant that they live stream Celebrations. It was like going to a convention.

Plus Coast to Coast am. The 21st is going to be a very interesting day for me! Because my dad saw the movies when they were first in the theaters. And then I got to see the next three films in the theaters. But my friend was too young to see them at the time and I'm taking him along, So now he will get the full experience of what it's like to see the Star Wars film!

That "Come on baby, don't let me down" 2-3 second clip from Han Solo was better and more emotional than ANY scene in the prequels. For me, that is what the prequels were missing (well, along with a good script).
It's comments like this that are nothing but bullcrap. There was emotion in episodes 1-3, mostly 3. The BBC also did something on Star Wars and had interviews from the past with Mark and Harrison where they heavily criticized the dialogue in the old Star Wars films. Singling out the prequels is stupid and it shows you're blinded by nostalgia. All of the films have their faults. But I love them all as they're Star Wars

Dialogues just something Star Wars never really got right

It's not even so much the dialogue, it's HOW the dialogue is acted out. My complaints with the prequels is that EVERY actor seemed monotone and lifeless when delivering the dialogue. There was no passion and in inflection in most of them. That is on Lucas and his direction, because many of those actors are top notch. (not Hayden)

when I first started watching these videos a few months ago, I was sort of ashamed because I thought it was so nerdy. Once this video came out, I'm now at the point that I make audible noises of excitement.

So started watching this and the first thing day say is more about star wars trailers, yeah guys, I am going to have to come back after the movie because I stopped at the first international trailer and thats it. I was able to bare you guys talking about the TV spots but I am trying to keep my mind as fresh as I can.
Starting Monday I'll be off the internet until I see The Force Awakens. I plan to see the film at least 2 or 3 times in one day. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Listen, I have been subscribed to this channel and watching this show for a few months now. Definitely the best movie channel on UA-cam. Harloff, Campea, and Ellis, y'all are awesome. However, it is so good to get a beautiful woman who knows her Star Wars on the show. Y'all are great lol but it's awesome to see a pretty face amongst all the dudes. I'm stupid jealous of y'all going to the premiere on Monday. Have fun.
Woo-hoo! Almost here! Going to the second showing in IMAX here in Billings Montana... Took the whole week off to play star wars games.. Read some of the books I haven't read yet and re-watch the anti cheese Prequels and maybe even the old Vhs "Han shoots first" original trilogy and avoid the Internet as much as possible (besides the streaming premiere and Colider Jedi Council spoiler free stuff) what an amazing time to be a star wars fan!

I've been reading about the efforts of the development team and apparently they had just tons and tons of footage and material that never got to be released or even displayed anywhere. I would've preferred to not play as a young Boba Fett though, especially since that wasn't their original plan. To experience the darkness of the underworld from a young, untrained perspective is truly something new to me that I hope we get to see.

I think you guys missed information about BB-8 with the Jakku spy VR game. BB-8 was receiving messages from the resistance and investigating the graveyard on the planet, probably investigating / searching for something. He is also seen on an X-wing and a Poe Dameron toy as his x-wing droid, so possible love interest with Rey and Poe?
A NEw Dawn was too my first book that I picked up for the New Cannon. Now I am onto reading Tarkin. Waiting till January next year to pick up Lords of The Sith in paperback.

Regarding the idea of a Star Wars based TV show, I have two ideas I'd like a to see if the Council would buy or sell:
1. Alliance: SecForce Bantha. Star Wars meets Band of Brothers. Follows five (or so) Alliance soldiers from their training into the ranks of the Alliance Sector Forces ground troops. Culminating in their final battle (I'm thinking Endor)
2. The First Jedi. Thousands of years before Luke. Follows young INH (insert name here) who thinks he/she might be going crazy when he/she discovers his/her powers. Follow INH has he/she comes to grips with powers, finds he/she can cultivate these power in others. Together this young Force user lay the groundwork the Jedi Knighthood. Meanwhile on the other side ot the galaxy another youngster takes a similar but darker path.
The thing is after this movie is out I will be a lot more calmer about rogue one and EP8, I don't think I will watch every single starwars panel on youtube or go on R/StarWarsLeaks. I just needed this one to pacify me. What a time to be alive.
I have Monday afternoon and night blocked off. I expect ya'll to be live streaming yada yada. I'll be geeking out with the big screen computer monitor.

Great episode guys! Just wanted to vent my frustrations tho on the Star Wars marathon. Showcase Cinemas will not be participating with the event unlike other major movie chains. That is really not fair for people who live in States like Rhode Island where there is no other major movie chain. Its so unfair!
