She knows Isaac is going to hear the Marker, she knows it's likely to reach out to him, so she starts trying to play Isaac against Hammond to make him think Hammond is the bad guy so she can do her work uninterrupted. Almost a year after the original game came out I was doing my own challenge series for beating different games on their hardest difficulties. Lmao at the turret section bit. One of my best friends made it all the way to 4 Kings in Dark Souls without realizing they had light and heavy attacks.
Bro, I can't believe you never realized that if you take the first letter of the name of every chapter and put them all together, they spell out "Nicole is dead"
The only 2 trophies I never got in this game was besting it on impossible and the stupid turret section. This is making me want to go back and finally get those done
Get heavy damage pack DLC, tank suit, use infinite stasis and infinite oxygen refill cheat codes, use cheat codes to get extra cash and power nodes. Then when you get to the first store, use contact beam and plasma cutter and tank suit only.
I can’t believe nobody’s talked about this, but the remake has added 8 chapters between Search and Rescue and Dead on Arrival, First Contact, Unexpected Consequences, Circular Thinking, Knowledge Is Power, Improvised Weapons, Negligent Supervision and Greater Purpose.
I really don't know why everyone acts like that turret section is the hardest thing ever. I've never not finished with 50% or more hull integrity remaining.
Fun fact; If you take the first letter of every chapter, it spells out “NICOLE IS DEAD”. Its quite a subtle but brilliant way to reveal the plot twist :^) Also, I’ve been trying to do the same thing that you’ve done with trying to beat the game before the remake released. Sadly, I didn’t manage to complete it on time. As of writing, I’m currently on Chapter 8. Still, once I complete the game Im hopping straight in to the Remake :^) Edit; Finished the game, now for the Remake :^) I’m surprised that you don’t like the Contact Beam. I can get why, its pretty situational. I only used it when I absolutely had to despite it always being in my arsenal. However, the Fully maxed damage contact beam is PERFECT for the Hive Mind and its tentacles. It takes literally only shot to destroy its yellow weak points, making it very useful to speed through the final boss fight. The alt fire, to me, is useless though. Still, I beat the game on hard with only two deaths (I personally say only one death cuz i don’t count the turret sections :^)
Btw that "DLC" suit you used in impossible difficulty isn't actually DLC. It's the level 6 suit you get for beating the game and can use in new game plus
No it's DLC. You cannot access the level 6 suit on the impossible difficulty. It's a fresh start without any unlocks. So he bought the military pack from the store.
For the Epic Tier 3 Engineer achievement you only needed to complete it on hardcore. Not impossible, that mode was added post launch for die hard players who wanted an extra challenge
Like a year ago I replayed the original dead space because of the remake announcement and the turret section almost made me drop the game itself lol it’s so goddamn hard!
Back in the day, I did what I called the Hero Run. Impossible mode, Plasma Cutter only, and only using the Level 3 suit. No cheats. It was great, and if I could be bothered to pull out my old 360 I'd have to do it again.
Nice ! New nostalgia drive video!! Looking forward to watching this when I get home Love this game. Little spoiler fact but if you only read the first letter of each chapter name it actually spells out “NICOLE IS DEAD”
As soon as I saw the title of the video I knew what achievement you were talking about, it was the exact same one I never got way back when. I even did Impossible with plasma cutter only but I could never do that stupid turret thing.
Dont get cocky, kid. When you brought that up I got flash backs of how hard it was. I looked it up and I did get it, but even though I forgot the achievement I never forgot how much I hated that turret section.
There's a lot of amazing things they did with the remake, but quite possibly my favorite is how they reworked circuit nodes. Instead of dumping 7-8 on literally empty slots just to get that one damage or capacity upgrade, there is absolutely no necessity to "waste" a node like this with the new system. To compensate for this, they had to give the weapons and the suit far more upgrade slots. Each weapon has 3 upgrades you can scavenge schematics for, which just unlock more of the circuit tree to dump nodes into, as well as unlock additional special features. This means you are guaranteed to at least get a couple of weapons and your suit maximally upgraded by the end of the game. Also, many of the weapons were re-worked. The Contact Beam is unironically one of the best weapons in the entire game. The primary fire is now a constant beam, while the alt-fire works more like the primary fire in the original: a VERY high damage beam that needs to be precisely aimed. The alt-fire can take out Brutes extremely quickly, in fact it can nuke just about anything very quickly. Very good gun. The Contact Beam in the remake is easily a contender for a fully upgraded plasma cutter.
Been replaying DS1 and 2 lately since I'm too poor for the remake, and impossible mode is perfectly doable with just the plasma cutter, knowing enemy placement, use of tk impalement and use of canisters. the last hangar section in chapter 12, for example. you can bait all the enemies and go back to the elevators and snipe them from up top, just need to make sure to check the vent occasionally. plus, you get all the ammo for the cutter you'll ever need. nice job on the 100% btw. subbed!
The remake is actually good. I made it to chapter six of me writing this comment. Have around 5 hours under the belt. It's really really good. I didn't think I would ever say this but EA did good. Like huh. I am as surprised as you are.

its honestly mind boggling that no one has mentioned the easter egg with the chapter names. Fun little thing you can look at if you just take the first word of every chapter. surprised you didn't know that Stray!
Its actually insane how well the graphics have stood time.
It took me a second to realize, that it was not the remaster on video.
Hey stray, great video! Fun fact, if you take the first letter of every chapter in the game, it spells out "NICOLE IS DEAD"
"So I switched back, picked normal...." Oh... oh no
A fact not known by many players of the original dead space but in the amazing sequel/prequel Dead Space Extraction if you take the first letter of every chapter and put them together you get WARREN LIES hinting at the fact that a very very trustworthy character is actually lying about something.
Excellent Video! Though I will say I’m a little disappointed you didn’t notice that the chapter titles spell out Nicole Is Dead, it really made me lose it when I realized
I fucking love this series! All the good memories fly by!!!!
Finally a new video…… giving up my birthday to watch this video was worth it
Ay you got it out! How was the all nighter?
I haven't slept since the last time we spoke lmao
@@xxStrayxxDogxx oh my lord 😂
The only 2 trophies I never got in this game was besting it on impossible and the stupid turret section. This is making me want to go back and finally get those done
Get heavy damage pack DLC, tank suit, use infinite stasis and infinite oxygen refill cheat codes, use cheat codes to get extra cash and power nodes.
Then when you get to the first store, use contact beam and plasma cutter and tank suit only.
My boy! Just in time!
I was sweating bullets. Didn't think I'd make it
Proud of ya nevertheless mate good work!
Brilliant video!! What a great idea, and what luck in finding the old HD! Cheers fella!
Wait, you for real? XD
@@whitefox3887 I think chapters work differently in the remake. They are less so different areas of the ship and more so missions or objectives.
I really dig the format of these videos including the deep dives. Totally worth a like and sub 👌
I love this series thank you so much really is nostalgic
If you take the first letter of each chapter it spells Ligma
Did y’all know that, if you take the first letter of each level, they spell out NICOLE IS DEAD? It’s a really fun little Easter egg!
5:58 the sound that necromorph made why getting sucked up is hilarious
Honestly I'm looking at this video, seeing what Dead Space '08 looks like, and I can't see of a good enough reason to warrant a remake.
I really don't know why everyone acts like that turret section is the hardest thing ever. I've never not finished with 50% or more hull integrity remaining.
FACTS
Oh you sweet child. The remake is perfect, and should set an example on how to remake a game. Perfection
Facts! I love the remake more than the original, especially with that damn turret section gone 😁
Fun fact; If you take the first letter of every chapter, it spells out “NICOLE IS DEAD”. Its quite a subtle but brilliant way to reveal the plot twist :^)
Also, I’ve been trying to do the same thing that you’ve done with trying to beat the game before the remake released. Sadly, I didn’t manage to complete it on time. As of writing, I’m currently on Chapter 8. Still, once I complete the game Im hopping straight in to the Remake :^)
Edit; Finished the game, now for the Remake :^)
I’m surprised that you don’t like the Contact Beam.
Not impossible, that mode was added post launch for die hard players who wanted an extra challenge
you're thinking of Dead Space 2
@@ThunderShot66 No, he's thinking of Dead Space 3. 2 didn't have an Impossible difficulty.
@@HenryMyth
What are you all thinking about?
Because in Dead Space 3 to get the Epic Tier 3 (4) engineer achievement you need to beat Classic Mode
A really neat thing the dev's did. Was spell out Nicole is Dead with the first letter of each chapter name. It's quite novel but really cool.
HOW DID YOU NOT MENTION THE FACT THAT IF YOU TAKE THE FIRST LETTER OF EVERY MISSION IN THE GAME, IT SAYS THAT NICOLE IS DEAD!?!
contact beam is underrated, literally one to 2 shots to kill the biggest bosses in the game, that's why it was nerfed a little in the remake
Like a year ago I replayed the original dead space because of the remake announcement and the turret section almost made me drop the game itself lol it’s so goddamn hard!
Yeah that achivement pissed me the f off. Took me probably 20 tries
Back in the day, I did what I called the Hero Run. Impossible mode, Plasma Cutter only, and only using the Level 3 suit. No cheats. It was great, and if I could be bothered to pull out my old 360 I'd have to do it again.
Nicole ded comment
Just beat the remake on impossible and cleared a milestone I couldn’t in 2008. Congrats on doing the same man!
New sub here too, great video!
Impossible on the original is harder than in the remake. Remake's impossible is just hard mode with perma death. It isn't difficult at all.
Congrats I recently just went through ALL of the Dead Space games and did a video on it too love the video keep it up :)
Nice ! New nostalgia drive video!! Looking forward to watching this when I get home
Love this game. Little spoiler fact but if you only read the first letter of each chapter name it actually spells out “NICOLE IS DEAD”
It's funny how it being blured makes it seem more graphic
As soon as I saw the title of the video I knew what achievement you were talking about, it was the exact same one I never got way back when. I even did Impossible with plasma cutter only but I could never do that stupid turret thing.
Dont get cocky, kid. When you brought that up I got flash backs of how hard it was.
I looked it up and I did get it, but even though I forgot the achievement I never forgot how much I hated that turret section.
Love this series, my guy. Keep up the great work!
Should’ve played it on the Xbox Series X. FPS Boost & Auto HDR makes this game look amazing!
Bro!!!!!! I LOVE this series. PLEASE keep doing this.
The Contact Beam in the remake is easily a contender for a fully upgraded plasma cutter.
damn I feel you about the R1 button I thought you had to hold L1 and R1 to fired the cannon
Been replaying DS1 and 2 lately since I'm too poor for the remake, and impossible mode is perfectly doable with just the plasma cutter, knowing enemy placement, use of tk impalement and use of canisters. the last hangar section in chapter 12, for example. you can bait all the enemies and go back to the elevators and snipe them from up top, just need to make sure to check the vent occasionally. plus, you get all the ammo for the cutter you'll ever need. nice job on the 100% btw. subbed!
I didn’t realize until my last playthrough before The Callisto Protocol that you could use both cannons on the ADS mission. It’s never explained!!
